"Ah...seems like there'll be plenty of humans on this trip. An' here I thought they were just sendin' elves t'do their dirty work." he said as he looked to the man, an almost predatory grin on his lips as he watched the archer. "I'm hurt, darlin'-an' here I thought you were just supposed t'take care of little ol' me."

Looking to the rest of the elves he shook his head lightly. "I don't sleep an' I don't rest, darlin'-you set th'pace, an' I'll be there waltzin' alongside ya. Just make sure y'don' wear out th'resta your cargo...boyo might be a bit sore after such a walk..." he teased, not particularly nicely, looking to the man.

Then, as tears of bubbling pitch stream down my face, my dark work will begin.

I will open one of my six mouths, and I will sing the song that ends the Earth.

There was almost no talking as Valar and his escort made their way through the forests. Valar noticed the elves looking at him from time to time, all but the one in charge had their weapons drawn since they dropped out of the trees earlier. The armed elves seemed... edgy when they looked at him.

Not trusting the muddy road, the rain had finally stopped moments before, Valar jumped of the horse and started to walk next to his steed. He increased his pace a little to walk beside the escort leader. "So... might I ask why I feel more like a prisoner instead of a guest?" The elf turned his head to look at him and Valar waved his hand at the armed elves. The elf stared at Valar's red eyes and Valar stared back, after a moment the elf turned away and made a signal with his hand and the other elves sheathed their weapons. Valar bowed his head. "Thank you."

The elf simply nodded and they walked in silence again. "Is it true that you made an attempt on the king's life?"
The sudden question surprised Valar and he turned to regard the elf who was looking at him. "Yes, I tried to assassinate the king but they captured me outside his bedroom."
The elf cocked an eyebrow. "What went wrong?"
Valar chukled. "I guess I was too confident in my abilities in entering unnoticed into the king's palace."
The elf's face looked thoughtfull for a moment before he spoke again. "But if you weren't captured you would really have killed the king?"
Valar stared at the elf's face and chukled. "Why these questions? Are you interrogating me or are you dissapointed that I failed in assassinating the king?"
The elf's face and voice betrayed no emotion. "I have no comment on that lordship." Valar snorted and turned away realising the conversation was over, but smiled under his mask as he saw the elf smile in the corner of his eye.

The march had been long and tedious; the ground had become muddy and flowing with ditches. Many of the troops had become irritated and on edge, their feet sticking to the ground causing others to bump into them and creating arguments. The heat was no help in keeping the soldiers calm and in control of their tempers. The centaurs roamed ahead of the column surrounded by a thick cloud of dirt and globs of mud that had been churned into the air by their thundering hooves. Over head incredible swarms of Fire drake mounted warriors roamed ahead towards the human bastion dubbed “The Front Line”. Ogres lumbered to the left of the column, their brutish battle songs adding to the frustration of the march. Whilst humanoid dragons marched to the right, the army was on its way to meeting up with Maghar, and the main force.

The no-mans land had not seen any action in months. The march from the Majurrat homeland and the front line took many moons especially with the condition of the route they were taking, several times the soldiers had suggested taking another route however this was the quickest and surest way to the main force. The army carried with them the Majurrat’s last attempt at breaking through, war machines of incredible destruction that will end the year long siege. Not the mention the man that was the Majurrat’s greatest siege warfare strategist…Helmingur Risastór. An enormous man even for a Majurrat, standing at over 10 feet tall he dwarfed most humanoids and had extreme physical strength. His voice often boomed and demanded respect even from his general.

Helmingur glared intently into the distance, a dark cloud and trails of smoke marked their destination, slowly unhinging his jaw he boomed.
” Troops, stop your bickering, we are almost with the General and his force. Let us relieve our brothers of this siege and gain the admiration we both demand and deserve!”
Cheers came from his fellow warriors, the look of intensity in their eyes, filling him with a self content smugness.

Finally, the Horizon was no more and instead Rhaebold smelt the somehow refreshing air of the Elven Village Luvrance. He grinned, leaving his horse to a Stable Master. Walking about its luxurious pathways and seeing the elegantly constructed buildings was marvellous. He couldn't help but simply breathe in how peaceful it was in everyway.

At the villages most southern part, the Vampire and Human kings sat. They had issued the meeting to be the next day, and so Rhaebold quickly asked for directions to the healing Spa-Pools. As he arrived, he thanked the Elf and undressed, revealing large Pectorals, a six pack and large, brutal biceps.
He stepped into the nature heated, bubbled yet clear waters and a relaxing sensation surged through him. He breathed out as he sank into it, finally coming to rest on a rock as the sun bore down ruthlessly and the cool breeze gently floated past.

Rhaebold was more than happy to accept the refreshments the Elves brought over. Probably the best tasting drink, that hinted at a mixture of Lemon and Lime with an unknown fruit, and large Melons with anything else Rhaebold would want. Soon, he saw two chunks of meat brought over, and after half an hour of feasting, finally settled back into relaxation, his stomach full to the top and his thirst quenched. This was the life, loyal Elven servants at his disposal and the healing spas gently massaging his aching back and buttocks after a day and a half ride on a stubborn horse. A smile glimmered over his lips again. Time was passing quickly, and he was expecting the 'others' to arrive any minute to feel the famous pools relaxation, before the meeting would commence.

Nakara took some time to think about it, and really couldn't pass up the idea of being home before nightfall. "Alright then, i hope you can keep up human." She had a sly smile on her face as she addressed him, then nodded to Cid. A few seconds later and she was off like the wind, sprinting down the road with irregular ease. It'll be nice to be out of this retched rain. Her hair was flowing behind her as she sprinted along, dodging as many mud-holes as she could.

They made better time then she had originally expected, entering the village of Luvrance near sunset. Nakara was soaked to the bone, and just wanted somewhere to go that was out of the rain. Upon entering the town, she ordered most of her men to stand down, save for her second in command. The two elves guided Cid and Elegost to where they would be sleeping for the night. "From what i know, the meeting will be somewhere tomorrow. For the most part you are *free* to look around the village, and do as you wish. Try to avoid starting any fights, and to keep yourself healthy."

After a few moments she turned to her second in command, "If you wish, keep an eye on Elegost from a distance, and report into me." A smile grew on her lips as she addressed him, her face growing soft, "If not, I'll understand if you want to take the night off. Its up to you." The elf bowed to her and said, "Thank you." then left the room. She turned back to the other two before deciding exactly what she was going to do. "The most famous spot in this village is probably the hot springs, if you'd wish to visit them." She pointed in the general direction of them before continuing, "I suppose I should keep watch over you Cid, so.....what is it you'd like to do?" She was still dripping wet, and her eyes meant that she was serious, and not in a mood for goofing around.

The elven officer stopped and turned to regard Valar. "Welcome to the village of Luvrance." They had finnaly arrived at their destination. Valar breathed deeply, the air here was clean, even cleaner than in the forests they just travelled through. The elven officer turned to him. "As I said when we met, we will hold onto your weapons and they will be returned after the meeting, which is tomorrow. Untill the meeting you are free to move around certain parts of the village, I would suggest a visit to our famous hot springs but it is entirely up to you."

Valar looked around a moment before speaking. "Hot springs... ah yes I heard about those, are they private?"
The elf officer shaked his head. "I'm afraid not the hot springs here are large, but we do have seperate man/female-"
Valar raised his hand to stop the elf. "No that wasn't what I meant, you see this mask and hood I'm wearing?" Valar gestured at his hood and mask. "It's to conceal my face, in my work that's a nescesity or I might get visited at my home by unwanted guests."
The elf nodded in understanding. "I see... well I must report that you have arrived, please enjoy our village while you can."
Valar turned to the elf and made a small bow. "I thank you for escorting me through these vast woods." Valar also added a ancient ritual elven goodbye in fluent Elvish. Which stunned the elven officer for a moment, then he smiled and returned the goodbye.

Valar delivered his horse to a stable and started to wander around the town looking for more of these 'others' who would attend to the meeting tomorrow as well.

"Ah.... This is.... so relaxing." Elegost spoke aloud. The heated water seeped into the pores of his skin, completely relaxing his body, like a big off switch was just flipped. The warm water and steam was a very nice change from the cold rain, and not only that but it gave him some time to think as well. glancing around he saw that he was the only one enjoying the natural made sauna this night. It was all the better in his opinion, privacy as well. This was turning out to be a good trip indeed.

Tomorrow he would be meeting with some of the greatest warriors there are, it was unbelievable. In Elegost's own opinion he wasn't even that great, in fact before coming here he was just a lowly scout with a nice bow. He was not going to doubt himself though, he had been invited by the King himself, and that has to mean something. Even with all this though, he still felt uneasy, the full description of what they were doing was not at all full. The only thing he could even gather from it, is that it's basically a suicide mission. Killing the general of that army? That was all it could be described as, you had to be suicide to attempt to assassinate someone like that. That or insanity was a possible explanation. Who knows?

As they made their way into town, Cid looked carefully at the city around him, enjoying being back after so long. When he thought about how much of his life he'd lost, for choosing the side he believed in...he shuddered, lightly, clenching his hands before breathing out and smiling. He'd kept up with the elves easily, happy to be free once again. The magic coursing through him kept him strong and alive, and if his bones were a bit more leaden then usual, it was better then being held immobile by those damn spikes...

"Oy, darlin'..." he said to his watcher after a moment, looking to her with an easy smile. "I could use a bit of a refreshin' dip...how about you an' me make our way over t'them hot springs, eh? Might make a nice change o'pace..." He didn't really wait for a reply, hopping up onto one of the many lengths of railing and walking along it with impeccable balance. He really did seem to be quite young, and as he stepped foreword for the baths he looked to her over his shoulder.

"You comin' in, darlin', or are y'just gonna hang around an' watch?" he inquired mischievously before slipping into the bathhouse, stripping himself of clothes rather quickly and revealing the seared marks that covered his body before covering up with a towel and stepping into the steamy room, breathing out lightly. "Ah... that's th'stuff..." he murmured, looking to the man in the pool with a raised eyebrow before cocking his head to the side.

"Don't mind a bitta company, do ya, boyo?" he asked before settling to the side of the pool and looking over to him, curious as to whether the ranger would react to him or his guard-he seemed the solitary type.

As Rhaebold was enjoying the relaxing bath, a horn rang. He noticed it was one that sounded the meeting, and quickly hopped out. Drying himself quickly, the Human equipped his gear and headed towards the large building. It was a marvel of a structure. It was surrounded by unknown flowers and protected by what seemed like an array of the best Elites of Man, Elf and, to Rhaebolds disgust, Undead.

Granted entry upon sight, Rhaebolds bulky figure wandered the palace like place as he sought the comference room. Eventually he found it. Outside, surrounded by trees, was a small platform. Guarding the entrance into the gardens stood Warriors wielding sharp swords and massive, spiked shields. He was aloud in without fuss, and soon found himself amongst the first to arrive. The Kings were due to arrive just after the others, as usual.

Smiling, he took his place and a man stood beside him, ready to announce him and the others.

"Your name, Lord?" He asked politely.
"Raehbold Nathnalai," He replied.
"Ah, yes. Here you are," He ticked off something on some paper, "Yes, yes. The famous Axeman of the East. Ah, how great it is to meet such a person!"
Excitedly, the man grasped Rhaebolds hand, shaking it until he regathered his senses and bowed.
"Yes, anyhow, i must see to the others before we begin."

He scurried off, and Rhaebold just sat down, smiling. Ah, how he loved peace.

Vor'radier yawned, he'd been wandering about for a while now, more than likely in the wrong direction, "Guess I don't know the forests like I used to, shouldn't have tried to take that shortcut," he sighed, looking the letter over again, there was some small writing at the bottom he had missed, he squinted to read it, "Luvrance?" he asked himself, frowning, "That was only a short walk!" he groaned, how could have missed that minor detail? He let out an annoyed sigh and kept walking, he had the real destination now.

Eventually he made his way back to the road, he smiled when he reached it, "At least I remember that much of the forests," he mumbled to himself, he looked off into the distance and smiled at what he saw, he was close to Luvrance, that was possibly the first good thing that had happened to him today, he set off and soon enough reached the edges of the town, even from here he could here the somewhat louder surroundings.

He jumped as a horn ran out, probably some sort of summoning call or such, that wasn't common in Luvrance, or, not that he knew of. He frowned, walking through the town, he came to the main building, a marvelous thing, he didn't much care for man-made marvels however, he looked at the many guards around the building and shook his head, there were so many. He watched as a huge muscle-bound human wandered into the building, "Humans like that are suited to war, what the hells is he doing here?" he muttered and followed the man in, the guards didn't seem to object to his being there.

He followed the man to what looked like a conference room and watched as another man greeted him, soon enough the man spotted Vor'radier as well and bustled over, Vor'radier stared at the man, somewhat confused.

"Your name, sir?" the man asked, seemingly a little less tolerant of him due to his elven descent.
"Vor'radier Nyth'Res," he sighed.
"Ahh, yes, you, the elf with the spear," the man mumbled, ticking something off on a sheet of paper.
Vor'radier only glared at the man, he wasn't showing the same kindness he had for the human, as usual, and in an elven town of all things, he sighed and went to lean against the wall near the doors, frowning to himself, it was just a little bit too loud for his liking.
