Valar heard the horn and assumed it was time for the meeting. Hoping that he was finnaly going to get some more information about this suicide mission he made his way to the large building were several others were walking to. Watching the guards carefully Valar walked inside, they just watched him not making any sign of stopping him.
Valar noticed a elf in front of him talking to a human for a moment before the elf walked away and leaned against the wall. Now the man walked towards him. "Your name, lord?" "Valar Velarrin..." He watched as the man recognised the name and the man's smile was replaced by a look of disgust. "One wrong move from you and you'll be dead before you know it!" The man ticked off something on a paper and started to walk past him without any further comment. "One move from you and you will be dead before anyone else know it." Valar whispered that softly as the man passed and was rewarded with a frightened look on the man's face. In a happy mood Valar walked towards a shadowy corner with a good observant view of the meeting place and leaned against the wall.

Nakara sighed and followed Cid off to the bathhouse. She wasn't really sure what she wanted, but this is what she expected, and what she was hoping wouldn't happen. "No no, I won't be joining you." she said lightly. She sat down outside the bathhouse and started running her gloved hands through her hair. It was still wet, but she combed her hands through it enough to make herself feel better, and have it seem presentable.
She wasn't sure exactly how long she sat there waiting, but it was long enough. After a bit, a large horn went off. Thats odd, i didn't expect the meeting to take place tonight... She stood up and stretched a little. She debated about sending someone in to get Cid for her, but didn't want to waste the time. She yawned, then headed straight into the men's bath area. "Cid, I have a feeling that horn is for you." She looked him straight in the eye, and left no room for argument. "Get dressed, I doubt you want to have the king be waiting on us. He isn't, uh, the most friendly of people." She stood at the edge of the bath, staring and waiting for him to move. As soon as Cid was dressed and ready to go, she led him through the city to the large building near the center. She prodded him to go in first. As they neared the entrance, a rather smug looking human asked them for their names. As Cid gave his name and headed in, she turned to head home, hoping someone else could take care of it now. As she turned away, the little human tapped her on the shoulder and said, "And you miss?" Nakara gave a small smile even though she felt sick standing next to him. "Nakara Felnor, but I was just guarding Cid I-" She was cut of as the little human flicked his wrist and scratched something off on the paper. "Yes yes, go on in, you're on the list." She gave the human a confused look, about to protest. She debated about protesting, but decided it was better if she didn't argue and just entered. She took a look around the room, noticing who was there. She took up a chair, draping her legs across the armrest and leaning against the back. She was tired and wanted this to end so she could take a nap. |

As he heard the horn, he sighed lightly, having just sunk into the bath and really begun to enjoy it. "Ah...never a dull moment, is there? No rest for th'weary..." he muttered before hopping out of the bath lightly and sweeping his hand foreword, trailing color in the air from his fingers and watching it weave into a multicolored jacket of various slightly dingy hues, as though an artist had painted in it for far too long and stained the fabric of it with pigmented iridescence. Another wave and a pair of shapeless black breaches appeared around him, black cloth curling from thin air about his fingers and sweeping across him. A third and final wave brought a cap from thin air, something like a beret with a brim, and he donned it cheerfully before turning it around and starting down the street, his feet still bare.
He was not particularly great at such conjurations, and the clothes were not great quality, but it was better then walking about naked, he figured. Making his way to the man at the door with the direction of his keeper, he nodded to the man who glared slightly to him and ticked him off, muttering beneath his breath something about monsters and little beasts before addressing his keeper. Cid hopped into a chair of his own, kicking his legs over the arm rest and leaning with his back over the other, his head dangling over the side and his arms behind it as though he owned the places, looking at the others curiously to see who'd come.

Dacal Grimcrypt was sitting on the outskirts of the town, in the graveyard. He surveyed the place. It was full of peace, tranquility, and death. Had not his lord told him not to continue to bring the tranquility of death to his enemies, this town would have become a place of tranquility and free of sickness. Instead the plague of life was still rampant here. Perhaps after 'The Hearts of Fire' had been once again sent back to the hell from whence they came, his lord would send forth his armies back into the fray of battle against the living who clung to the disease with unbridled strength. But now was not the time for think of what may become of after the war. Now was the time for action of the present issue.
Before he left the Unholy Kingdoms and his knights in the Vampire Guard, the royal guard for the Vampire King, he made a small trip to the Library and to the elders of the Others to see what they knew. He learned very little, despite the large amount of knowledge in the library and the specific clues given by the elders, there was still no known sure kill way to kill them. But he knew that without his steel armor, one of their flaming swords would cut him into pieces, and the chance of his death would be very high. The horn sounded, and he answered the call. It was time for the meeting. He left the graveyard and moved forth through the town. The area around him began to fill with snow and darken slightly. As he moved through the crowds of people, the mortals parted making plenty of room for him to move through. As he approached the area where the heroes of this age were meeting, he moved towards the receptionist. "Your name sir" the man asked him. "Dacal Grimcrypt" His voice echoing with the cracking of ice. "You.... yes on the list, but you.... we were sure you wouldn't meet here" the man moved back several feet, as snow began to descend upon him and the faint darkness surrounded the meeting area. "Yes go in". Dacal moved in, not surprised at all of the human's apparent fear. These humans feared death more than they loved life. He moved forth eying each of the heroes of this age. He paused and sat down in a cold iron chair. |

Rhaebold yawned. Others had joined the meeting recently, yet there was nothing to signify the Kings presence. Suddenly another large horn blew and two large, stone doors opened up from the wall itself, allowing dust to swirl and block any image of figures. Suddenly the outlines became clear and in came the King himself, Yurrak, accompanied by the Vampire King. They both sat down silently beside each other, staring down upon the gathering of heroes.
"As you may know," A posh, elegant voice bellowed out from an undead mouth, "We have gathering you peasents together in order to succeed in destroying an invasion of my," He coughed, "OUR lands." Everyone silently watched the Kings. "Yes. As my... Friend," King Yurrak spoke with a tinge of resentment, "As my allied commander has spoken, you have basically been gathered to... Do a mission of Sorts." He stroked his hairless chin. "Ah, what the hell. You all deserve to know what your up against. Your going to be going extremely DEEP into enemy territory, why? To kill the invincible general of the Majurrat." Rhaebold raised an eyebrow. This was abit worse than expected. And it had came out spitefully quick. He sighed, it was certainly suicidal.

The kings had arrived in all their glory. The tension among the summoned warriors rose and their attention was pulled to the two figures standing there, looking down on them. And to sharpen the edge of the situation there was the resentment between races. Undead, human and elvan warriors had been put in a small space together. Way to complicate things, she thought with a strong sense of sarcasm. It would not take much to have them at each other’s throats.
The vampire king spoke first, his voice was smooth, posh. The stiff upper lip almost all vampires possessed with that horrid twang of mock in every single word. He showed little respect for them in his words and she felt the resentment among the living grow. The human king jumped in to get to the point. And what a point it was. ‘Kill the invincible general of the Majurrat.’ Disbelief and a sense of dread filled the warriors around her. She shook her head, what a rushed decision. A decision made out of fear, with little reason. No one wished to defy their king, but neither were they eager to go on a suicide mission. The mission itself was suicidal enough, complicated enough and the idea created out of sheer fear and haste. She believed that the two kings had forgotten one important aspect that complicated their mission even more. For them to even have a chance of succeeding they would need to work together and have each other’s back. This would not be possible with all the resentment and most of them ready to be at each other’s throat. Certainly death would haunt them at every corner, but it would be a challenge no warrior could deny. ‘When will we leave? Is there any extra information you could provide us with and what strategies did you have in mind for this mission?’ Her staff tapped on the floor as she spoke out. There was no time for chaos and panic. This was their mission and they would have to make the best of it. |

Cid watched the man and the beast enter the room, his eyes flickering between them. Yes, there was animosity there, and yes, it struck him as likely that there would be another war shortly after this one, as the two allies turned on each other... if they made it through this one...
But when they spoke, Cid couldn't keep himself from laughing. A short chuckle came from his throat first before it turned into a barely stifled laugh, his shoulders shaking with mirth before he grinned and looked to the human who'd spoken. "Ah me oh my," he said dryly, amused, "You two do know how t'pick 'em... ah well. Can't say it doesn't sound like fun." He leaned back in his chair and put his hands behind his head, enjoying himself as he watched the others and watched the rest of the council.

"You will be leaving as soon as possible. We are leaving everything else up to you, your minds together are better than our best tacticians." Yurrak spoke.
"Ah, indeed you will. But if i may say, and i will say, you will all probably be in the harshest conditions. So good luck." Rhaebold grabbed his axe with a fierce face. This was suicidal! He stood up and saw in the corners of his eyes alot of Warriors unsheath their weapons. "This is madness!" He shouted, "You send your best on a suicide mission? Do you have no minds!" The Vampire King angrily stood up. How dare Humans speak to HIM in such manners! His eyes grew dark and his muscles bulked. Human Guards turned towards their Vamparic counterparts, weapons drawn and eagerness to battle strong. Alot of the Heroes also rose, tension was high and now tempermants were going to be quick to break. Having gathered what seemed like support, Rhaebold continued. "You are sending us, who could help on the front lines to our deaths? Why? So you know you have had a vague chance? What type of King are you? Your not. Your a treacherous fool!" That had been it. The Vampire King was not to be pushed that far and two Vampires appeared at his side. Slowly he strode over to Rhaebolds imposing figure, his arrogant face contorted with rage towards the Axeman. Rhaebold stared into the Kings eyes with ignorance. He was not afraid and he wouldn't be. A point had to be made. "How very dare you..." The Vampire King whispered in a sly, new personality. His head was resting on the Barbarians shoulder, each facing another way. "How dare you even think about talking like that to me of all things! You stand down or i will assure you that we will engage in a fight and that you and your... Friends," he spat, "Will die!" Rhaebold slowly looked around him. He saw determination in all faces but that of the Elves, who seemed more interested and calm, as it was no despute of theirs. Apart from the mission, of course. The Vampires had appeared in greater numbers, probably from the Towns Guard from what he knew. A fight was brewing, and it would not be nice. His vision was guided towards his own King, whom had requested his sword and whos athletic, slim form stood towering above his own Elite Guards. He stalked over to the Vampire King. "You will NOT be talking like that to ANY of my men or women!" He shouted, sword in hand. Rhaebolds eyes widened slightly, even his King was taking up sword and shield to defend a mere peasent to him! What a king he was! "You will stand down, Provolius! Or your quarel will be with me." He looked quickly to Rhaebold and winked, "Or rather with the Human Empire who shall forever stand tall and proud!" Defiance blaring in the Undead kings face, he angrily sat back down. His face staring emotionlessly again at everyone. Yurrak, who stood standing began to shake everyones hands. What an inspiring king. "You have my blessings, Heroes... No, Legends of the land! Go forth, go forth and know that you shall forever be in our hearts and prayers!"

Valar shaked his head when he heard the kings explain their mission to them. He whispered to himself. "Suicide... plain suicide sending the best into enemy territory and hoping that one of them succeeds while the others fail and die..." Valar didn't move when the rest of the humans and undeath took hold of their weapons, no he did just like the Elves were doing. Watching calmly and with interest at both sides.
He looked at King Yurrak, Valar had unconsiously reached for a weapon when the king had appeared. He had almost drawn out the dagger hidden in his left bracer but managed to stop himself, the mission to kill the king had been a faillure and he should not try to do it again. "You have my blessings, Heroes... No, Legends of the land! Go forth, go forth and know that you shall forever be in our hearts and prayers!" Valar chukled when he heard the king say that, he wondered if the king thought the same about him...
