The monarchies of Aero have just been made aware of a group of mutated humans who can turn into animals at will, witches of sorts. Each group of royalty is ver concerned about this and has been sending out secret agents, Searchers, to find and either capture or execute these people as soon as they see them. The seekers and the monarchs are the only ones who are aware of these people and the incidents are isolated so as not to cause mass histera. They are convinced that only the other members of thier own monarchy are aware of these "witches". So they hide it from thier subjects so the other countries do not hear of it.

They fear that, if they other rulers were to find out, they would claim that the other set of leaders is weak and war would rip across thier borders. The peasants of these rulers are unaware of all of this, and continue to live thier lives like nothing is happening. They do, however fear "witches" and will panic and either flee or attack if frightened by the thought of being near a witch.

The Shape Shifters have heard of the Searchers and are on thier way to either get rid of thier powers or find an ally to get the monarchs off of thier back. They had heard rumors of a man who resided in the Wayfarere's Forest, the area of land nestled between the kingdoms of King Vladimir and Queen Henrietta, and will stop at nothing to get to him since it is said that he was the son of one of the nearby monarchs and was willing to help out thier cause. They are hopefull that he will hold thier answer but still cautious.

What if this was a trap? What is this young prince had plans that were worst than those of the kings and queens? What if he turned them in?

Should it matter? It was worth it to try.

A pair of wolves ran through the night forest on the outskirts of Oswalds and Isabella's turf, one white and the other black, varely visible in the night even with the black pack he carried on his back. They were nearly silent, thier paws making little to no noise as they hit the forest floor. Suddenly, the white wolf stopped, her ears perking forward in interest and awareness as she sniffed at the air. She looked at the black male and tilted her head. He whined and rubbed his head into her neck.

She made a soft noise that almost sounded like laughter before nuzzling him back then sitting. A moment later, a woman with long white hair sat in it's place. The black wolf put his front paws on her shoulder and licked at her face. She laughed, "Leon! Knock it off!" She pushed at him and he hopped backwards, his tail wagging like a pups and his butt in the air, ready to play or pounce. "Not right now." She stood, brushing dirt off of herself and pulled the pack off of Leon's back and dug out clothes, slipping into them.

She looked down at him with her hands on her hips. "Okay, I thought I smelled humans so you can either come with me and hope you don't get chased off or you can stay here and wait for me." She needed new clothes and she could use some human food. Part animal or not, she didn't like to eat raw meat all of the time and she couldn't afford to make a fire very often. When he sat she nodded. "Alright. I'll be back." She headed off to the east, sure there was a village nearby.

Robin stood on the flower rather delicately. He liked it better this way, where no one spoke to him or tried to gain his attention. And it made it a lot easier when he didn't have to hide behind houses and shadows with stolen food. Then again his form didn't allow him to commune heavy pounds. Something struck him, a tingle down his antennas. He watched in the distance of the entrance he was out something was coming.

He was more fascinated with the zing he got. What did that zing mean he wondered. He calculated the time and distance of the figure and fluttered over to the entrance. Judging by the time he could make them purposely bump into him. He was sure they had something he could take. He fluttered over into the shadows and shifted. He walked out into the entrance and simply waited.

He was waiting and almost imagining the person's look when he took everything. Everything expensive at least. He could sell off what was expensive and use the money to get food. He was getting harder looting the villages around here without being caught. And as earlier a butterfly can't really carry a piece of bread on it's legs. The butterfly was a way of getting in, not out.

Rose walked swiftly toward the village, sniffing the air. Even as a human, she could smell the people and the food. Her stomach gumbled and she rubbed it, frowning. She always got hungry much faster after eating raw meat for a while. "Soon." She told it, jumping over a rock. The buildings on the edge of the building were just visible so she slowed, not wanting to alarm anyone if they saw her.

She had learned that in her years on her own. People reacted with panic when they saw strangers in a hurry. Especially strangers who were obviously travellers. Her stomach growled at her again and she sighed, wishing she could just find a way to deal with eating raw in a positive way. But, seeing as she'd been having this same problem for years she doubted that was a possibility unless she got really good at ignoring her human instincts and relying on the animal. She sighed once more as she reached the edge of the village and mentally prepared herself as she walked.

He had planned it all right. As the person entered the village they bumped into him. But it was a bad target the girl had nothing on her. The way he had nothing too. And he couldn't run out on her right now and then disappear he just fell to the ground letting his beret fall off.

"S..sorry," he muttered, "I wasn't paying attention."
He picked himself and dusted himself off. He grabbed his beret and dusted that off too. He fixed his hair and stared at the hungry girl. She was going to come to the shock that everyone around her was super security. And theft was hard. Unless you bumped into people, took their stuff and ran.

"Are you new around these parts?" Robin asked.
Stupid question he knew. But what else was he suppose to say. He just needed to behave like he's been in this village this whole time. Even though he was hungry, homeless, and sick like the girl. He didn't want her to know he was trying to rob her. He messed up he knew that.

Rose shook her head, standing carefully. She was fairly certain that she had landed on a rock and bruised her ass. "No, no. All my fault. I shouldnt concentrate so hard while I'm walking." She watched as he picked up his hat and placed it back on his head while brushing leaves and dirt from her clothes. A small smiled played over her lips and then she nodded a little sheepishly when he asked if she was new to the area, "yeah, just got in. Been travelling for ages."

For once, the saying was nearly literal. She didn't remember the last time she had stayed in one place for more than two days straight. It seemed like she could never fins anywhere safe enough any more. She looked at him again, realizing she had nearly forgotten he was there. "Oh. You're not hurt, are you?"

Robin had been good at acting. He'd also learned to be good at lying as well as finding out the right things to say and do. It became a street smart and a security. He had been eying a house on the corner around. It was perfect.
"I'm not hurt," Robin said with a smile, "You look hungry and thirsty, how about you come to my house?"

Robin didn't have time for her to answer not fully. He grabbed her hand gently so she wouldn't feel scared. He gave her a smile.
"It's just at the corner over there," he said pointing with his free hand a house three houses down.
He knew the owners had left this weekend for some family fun camping. He'd use the girl to sneak some food and some water. But he needed to make it casual and now was the chance. Best thing was that he could use the girl to his advantage as well.

She'd probably have some sort of storage device. Or something. And then he could use her, take her out, and then steal what she had. It was a perfect plan under the ruse of a gentle smile.

A smiled spread over her face, genuine and kind, "I'm glad you're unharmed, I would have felt horrible. Of course, judging by the way you can tell that I am both hungry and thirsy, I must be looking pretty bad." She looked down at herself and almost sighed but looked up and smiled sheepishly once again, "I would really..." She trailed off then he took her hand and pulled her after him.

She looked at the house and blinked. Wow. He actually owned a house? And she had thought she was lucky when she managed to find a kids playhouse to sleep in for the night. Well, she considered, frowning a little, his cicumstances are a little better than yours seeing as he doesn't have to run to avoid searchers and death. She shook her head, mentally, trying to cheer herself up. Food and drink. Concentrate on that.

"If you're sure I won't be a bother. I wouldn't want to intrude or anything. Would it be possible for me to use your shower, too? Lakes and rivers do the trick," if she could steal some soap from the nearest village, "but I think a nice warm shower would be heaven." She could take her time for once. It wouldn't be stealing. The more she thought about it, the more excited she got.

Robing smiled as he opened the door of the house, he knew where the key was hidden. He'd been stalking the province long enough to the know interior of each and every house. But this was lucky break. A family gone, they lived on the corner where no one could see random people walking in. And anyone watching wouldn't worry much because they knew the family had a son off in college. Maybe the son came home. It didn't look so suspicious.

He walked into the house. He knew where everything was and smiled at the young lady again.
"If you're sure I won't be a bother. I wouldn't want to intrude or anything. Would it be possible for me to use your shower, too? Lakes and rivers do the trick,
"Of course you can take a shower," Robin paused, "And your no bother, a two story house by myself."
Robin pointed down the hall.
"Down the hall on the left is a restroom with a shower or you could go upstairs...I can let you borrow some clothes from my sister," Robin said, "I didn't catch your name...I'm Henry."

Yes it was a name on the spot. But she was gullible enough so far. He smiled.
"And while you're taking a shower I'll make something," Robin said, "You can leave your pack on the couch and I'll be willing to wash your clothes."
Robin smiled again.

She followed him inside and grinned, feeling comfortable. "Oh my gosh, you are a lifesaver!" When Rose turned to him, her smile was huge, "I would totally hug you but I feel so yucky. I don't know if I'll be around these parts again any time soon so are you sure that borrowing the clothes from your sister would be alright? Oh, and I'm Rose. Nice to meet you, Henry." She held out her hand instead of the afforementioned hug.

At his instruction to leave her bag on the couch, she nodded, walking to the couch and laying her pack on it before looking at him again. "Make something? Not only food, but home-cooked? Oh dear, I'm in danger of worshipping the ground you walk on." She grinned and looked in the direction of the bathroom. "Oh, and since you offered to wash my clothes and all, would you like me to just throw these outside of the bathroom door? Well, assuming that it's still alright for me to borrow your sisters stuff. I could always mail it back here if you wanted..." She trailed off and then shrugged, watching him.

Robin smiled at her.
"No, I'm sure my sister won't mind if one of the shirts and pants she doesn't wear goes missing," Robin said with a laugh, "Please just leave your clothes out in the front."

Robin walked into the kitchen and grabbed a pan.
"I'm going to make some bacon and eggs....the calories will do," Robin said.
He heard the girl walk off to the bathroom and Robin opened the refrigerator. He took out some eggs and some bacon he knew they cooked yesterday. Why did they have leftovers if they were going to be gone for vacation? Robin wondered about these bits and pieces of people's lives. He was waiting to hear the door of the bathroom shut or hear an indication that he didn't need to cook.

But he found himself cracking the eggs and cooking them fried. Why was he doing it like this? It was to snuff the girl and go. What was the compulsion of helping her out? Moment she would find out what he was she'd freak. She'd turn him in and he couldn't have that happen. He was cooking her food when that wasn't part of the plan. His plan was going to get ruined if he kept it up like this.
