Kadaeux awoke to the camp being packed in a hurry. What is going on. He thought 'aloud'. With a screech of the falcon Sha'ghul landed in the camp and perched herself upon Kadaeux's shoulder. A storm is coming. We'll be leaving these. Kadaeux didn't even flinch, he knew nobody else could hear the bird. But she had never steered him wrong. Leave them, or leave them. He asked mentally. These weren't very nice men and Kadaeux would rather that they didn't have to worry about being followed. Ignore them. They'll be no threat. We will remain here as they move on. She replied. Bloodshed was needless here. These men were also running because their scouts had stumbled upon a scientists camp. Affectionately he handed Sha'ghul a piece of jerky and smiled as she tore it to pieces and ate it as the camp commander a Dreven Kel came over. "Pack your things, its time we left." He said gruffly, the man was middle aged and quite large. "A storms coming. We don't want to be here, our weather-seer says it'll be a hurricane." He Lies. Thunderstorm yes, hurricane, no. Sha'ghul informed Kadaeux and he didn't argue. Sha'ghul was never EVER wrong about the weather. We need to be here with it. Ok. He answered. Sha'ghul rarely said something was needed or required. In fact Sha'ghul had given more 'orders' in the past fifteen minutes than she had since the day he met her. "I have to remain." He told Dreven. "I sai.." Before the man could even think of ordering him to do anything Kadaeux transfixed him with a look, the dagger suddenly resting against his ribs between the two most perfectly suited to reach the heart was another reason he stopped. "Fine, your funeral." He said suddenly and stepped back. "Pack it up you dogs, I want out of this hellhole!" ------------------------------------------------------------------------- As the leading edge of the storm passed over them Kadaeux realised he was different. And Sha'ghul explained much to him in the hour as the storm stabilised seemingly overhead. Feel the storm. Sha'ghul instructed patiently. Kadaeux did feel it. Each crackle and bolt felt in advance. He could smell the electricity of each lightning bolt. The sharp scent of the rain. Now become one with the storm. Sha'ghul shouted at the very moment a lightning bolt struck Kadaeux Kadaeux stood bolt upright and his eyes opened crackling with incandescent lightning. A moment later he was somewhere else having become one with the storm. Congratulations Kadaeux first Stormlord of humanity. I am Sha'ghul. The Storm Falcon. Sha'ghul finally introduced her protege to who she really was. Together Kadaeux and Sha'ghul stood beneath a crackling column of lightning. They were one with the storm and one with each other. Two beings, one purpose. Destroy the Teacher. Their thoughts entwined.

"This is c-c-crazy," Kya growled through chattering teeth. She was ducked amidst a cluster of broad leaf trees, seeking some respite from the sudden storm. But the rain forest was the rain forest for a reason, and the trees didn't protect her for long. Water pooled in their deep throats and poured down onto her head. Dampness soaked into the bark, and into the thick carpet of foliage on the ground. When Kya had run from her camp the night before, she hadn't brought anything with her; she'd been in a hurry, running for her life and all...It meant she wasn't prepared for the rain. Her boots were soaked through, and her hair and clothing were dripping. Warm and humid as the forest was most of the time, it could be bitterly cold at other times. This was one of those times. "This is crazy," Kya repeated. "I'm s-s-sitting in the rain in this...freak storm talking to a giant cat, when I could be back at the camp, w-with--" 'Yes, and your whining makes everything that much better,' Regen replied sourly, casually licking a paw clean. Kya didn't see the point in that. if he wanted to be clean, he could just stand out in the rain with her, instead of perching in the branches over head. 'If you would focus and do as I say, you could dry off.' "Sorry," she hissed sarcastically, trying to wring water from her dark hair. "I hadn't realized thinking about rain would make it go away." A snarl. 'Do not just think about the rain, Kya. You must focus on the water. Everywhere, all around you. In the plants, in the air, in the ground--' Kya grunted. "Oh. Focus on the water, don't think about the rain," she grumbled, mimicking his tone. She usually wasn't so vocal about her annoyance, skepticism...or anything she thought. but she felt different around this huge talking animal. Maybe it was all part of the delusion. "I hadn't--" With a growl, Regen leapt from the branches to land in front of a startled Kya. 'Do not mock me,' he growled, advancing on her like he had only nights ago. Kya would never admit it, but she was...scared. His open jaws dangled inches from her face. His breath face warm and hot on her cheeks. 'I am your Guardian,' he said, as if reading her thoughts...and now that she thought about it, he probably was. 'I will not hurt you. But I will not tolerate your stubborn disbelief. You and the Others were born to save an empire. Whether you like it or not, you will accept and master your powers, one way or another. I promise you, it will be easier and more pleasant if you listen to me and do as I say. There is no room for skepticism here. Are you so selfish you would allow a nation to perish while you gripe about the weather? Cowardice is not allowed. Your life is no longer yours, Kya. Your life is that of the Warrior within. You must accept who you are and leave this life behind you.' Kya sat, breathing hard, frightened, angry, cold and trembling as the words penetrated her skull. Many things could be said of Kya, and many were true. But she would never accept coward. "Fine," she growled after a while. If she weren't so angry, she might have noticed that even though Regen stood in the rain, his first was dry. "Get off of me." Regen stood staring at her for a time, then leapt back into his tree to watch as Kya shut her eyes and focused on the water, even as she cold wetness dripped down her face, back and hair. Shivers ripped up and down her spine; Kya felt miserable...but somehow right, as well...

| Feel better? Dante smirked, "of course, it'd been a couple of days, I needed that out of my system." Ah yes, I forget sometimes. If you make it a couple of days without getting action of some sort, you practically run up walls. Dante only grunted in affirmation, "She was alright I guess, what's his name the other day was better...Shane...Sean....Steve? I can't remember, anyways he was good, but ooh that one girl, uh....Alicia! She was fantastic." More to the point, are you ready to do as you born to do? Dante made an unpleseant face, "ugh, right that whole "save a kingdom" thing, do I have too?" That was her wish, then again you have never cared much for others wishes, with one exception Dante lit a cigarette, "share the love I say. Anyways, yeah, I'm ready, but I've got a few things I gotta take care of." Be swift, I imagine other Elementals have awoke at some point, and they will vye for the spotlight. Dante flicked some ash, "can't have that now can we? I'm the best of the best, so gotta keep it that way." What exactly is it that you have to do that's so important? "Shower and change of course, I'm already going to be the hottest thing there, but I want to be the cleanest as well." He heard a low chuckle and continued on his way back home.

Fluid. Everything about her was fluid. Her body, her consciousness, her thoughts and mind. Her very being was fluid. There was no other way to describe it. Images and ideas flowed together, melding at once, melting away in the next moment. Everything was entirely lucid, slipping here and sliding there. Moreover, Kya felt a part of the water around her. Not everywhere...she sensed it was there, but she couldn't feel it. But the water in the tree behind her, in the leaves over head, soaking into the ground, and her clothing and hair. She could feel it all, a warm, pulsing presence at the base of her skull, silent and assuming, but there nonetheless. It wouldn't bend to her command, not completely, not yet, but it acknowledged her as a presence, if not a very powerful, imposing one. After all, the water outnumbered her. It was raining, but even then the water that existed already in the rain forest was an intimidating force. Even so, if she concentrated, really asserted her will, she could...bend the raindrops around her. Politely redirect it around her head and shoulders. Explain that it would reach it's final destination much faster if it didn't have to roll down her arms first. Many drops were reluctant, but the longer she concentrated, the better it worked. She was still wet, cold, and a little annoyed at Regen, but none of it mattered. She finally felt...right. Overhead, Regen watched with reserved interest. The girl was strong. He'd given her a task too big for her on purpose. To break her pride, and force her into who she really was. It wasn't the best way to operate, but she was stubborn, and time was short. In any case, she appeared to be having some success, and that, at least, was unexpected. He noticed she was shaking; it was only natural, as deflecting the rain around her at such an early stage was demanding. But she was drier, and quiet for the moment. With a smug purr, he settled in to keep watch as his ward practiced her trade.

One with the storm Kadaeux's eyes flared open with lightning crackling within their depths. He felt an influence on the storm, trying to stop it, or redirect it. He couldn't tell at this stage. One with the Storm. He flash up and closer this time exploding a tree when he struck the ground with the energy released from the lightning. Not close enough. But he was closer, he could feel that much. Krakoom! He moved as lightning from place to place feeling himself getting closer or further away with each hop. Each giving him a more accurate picture of where the disturbance was. Sha'ghul flashed alongside him. Together they knew that their movements wouldn't have gone unnoticed even if the person acting upon the storm didn't realise it was movement a lightning bolt striking every few seconds was unnatural. How is this so easy Sha'ghul? He asked the storm falcon as her own crackling wingtips followed his seemingly erratic search pattern. Because we are one with the storm. Lightning is who you are so lightning responds to your commands and suggestions more naturally. A Sand storm wouldn't be as receptive though there is lightning it isn't as powerful. A Tornado might answer your call though that is typically the domain of the air elements. Sha'ghul answered as Kadaeux continued to flash across the skies. You are the combination of three elements as am I, air, water and fire. A dangerous mix to our enemies but no more powerful than any one element. Found it. With another Krakoom of lightning Kadaeux appeared in the clearing occupied by Kya, his black leather armour dripping in the rain but it did not bother him. Energy crackled around him and into the ground, his hair, short as it was, stood on end and small arcs of lightning flickered around his fingers and skin, and most importantly his eyes still crackled deeply with the lighting of the storm. "I am Kadaeux the First Stormlord."

"Okay, Lets run through the plan once more shall we." Nightmare said as he perched on the dumpster on the other side of the alleyway. "I know the plan, Dang it." Shadow replied, staring at the bank across the street. "Shadow want to get shot and killed?" Nightmare said mimicking a somebody asking a parrot if it was a cracker. "You are not robbing this place at night. It is the middle of the day. Shadows will be scarce and police will have guns. You need to be careful." "yes, yes, spare me the lectures" Shadow replied before crossing the street casually and walking into the bank. Inside it was pretty packed but for some reason Nightmare had insisted on doing it midday. After walking to the middle of the bank, Shadow raised a gun in the air and fired. After many gasp and screams he said in a calm tone. "This is just another bank robbery. You see them every night on the news. If any civilians would like to leave please do so now. If any security guards or tellers want to stay behind and play hero and Die for your miserable seven fifty an hour job....well have fun." After all the customers ran out the doors screaming, followed by the tellers, Shadow tossed the gun aside. He wouldn't need it anymore. He walked behind the counter and began putting money in his pockets. For a bank robber he was very unorthodoxed, but it wasn't about the money. Its was about practicing on he police officers that would run in the door any minute. Shadow didn't even know why Nightmare insisted he 'practice' There was no human on earth that could even come close to beating him, Or so he thought. Nightmare had not told him about the other Elementals nor his destiny to go back to lyria. After getting a couple thousand dollars in hundred dollar bills the police ran in shouting orders for him to 'freeze' and 'put his hands in the air'. "How can I lift My hands in the air if I'm suppose to freeze? You all are very prompt. Right on time, even for your own funerals." Shadow said mockingly before ducking under the counter. The police ran behind the counter, guns pointed, but Shadow had already disappeared. Confused, They began searching everywhere. Quietly, Shadow stepped out from behind one officer, wrapping his arm around the mans neck, and pulling him back into the darkness. The other guards freaked out as they heard the screams and gurgle of their disappearing coworker. About ten minutes later, Shadow walked out the bank a couple thousand dollars richer, leaving a trail of dead, bloody, and bruised bodies behind him.

Regen lifted his head suddenly. Suddenly downpours were common enough in the rain forest. Thunderstorms were that unusual, either, but this much lightening... He felt his blood coursing through his veins much too fast. Something tingled on the edges of his consciousness. Around his tree, where her lay draped across the branches, the lightening came faster and faster. And closer. Another Warrior, he realized suddenly. The presence was coming closer, the lightening striking faster. He could see white hot streaks flashing above tree tops, and feel his fur standing on end. The Warriors were free-willed beings. If they didn't know their past, or their mission, or if they'd only just discovered their powers...If they had it in mind to simply conquer this world, instead of saving their home world...If they already discovered and honed their powers... His heart was in his throat. Suddenly, he could think of a million reasons Kya wasn't ready. She'd only just started training; she was still unconvinced of who she was. Despite all her complaints and boasts, she was still a child. The other Warrior was coming closer. He could smell the odd ozone flavor in the air, feel the static crackling everywhere. He had to hide Kya. He would test the Warrior and their Guardian. Until then, Kya should be out of sight. 'Kya-' he started. Too late. A final flash of lightening, and suddenly, there was a man dressed in black standing on the ground before Kya, a falcon perched on his shoulder. Kya, by then lost in meditation, raindrops bending around her head and shoulders, hadn't noticed anything until lightening cracked in front of her. Suddenly there was a man standing over her, speaking. She jumped, her concentration shattering. Water spilled over her head and face. The man that towered over her was garbed in black, but white-hot strands of lightening crawled of her head, hands, and arms. There was a fierce looking falcon perched on his shoulder. Shivering, she stared up at him through the gloom. He made her feel...odd. Different. On edge. There was something special about him, but she couldn't put her finger on it. Instinctively, she reached underneath her, grabbing a pointed rock. She tried to stand, and found she couldn't, her strength having been used in training. But she wasn't going down without a fight. Nervous, tense, she narrowed her eyes, cocking the arm with the rock. "What do you--" she started. Suddenly, Regen leapt down fifteen feet from his perch in his tree and landed directly in front of Kya, snarling at the newcomer. He crouched in a protective stance. He wasn't planning on attacking; he was simply making it clear Kya was not alone. 'Greetings,' he said, speaking to both of them. 'I am Regen, and this is my Ward, Kya. Why are you here?'

Dante blazed into his penthouse, he knew it was the product of the fact that his mother's wealth had promised him the private quarters. He shucked off the clothes as soon as he had closed the door. Walking completely naked through the lavish penthouse, persian rugs upon the floor, expensive sculptures and paintings, and other self-indulging things dotted across the penthouse. He barely noticed them as he reached the massive bathroom. He smirked as he turned the water in his stand in shower, the water tested and then perfected to the temperature of his liking. Stepping in, he bathed himself in the hot water. Knowing it should scald his skin, he only smirked deeper than before. Taking his time, gradually turning the heat of the water up, he eventually walked from the sauna of the bathroom, a thick wall of steam seeping out from behind him. He scrubbed his exposed body as he walked past the highrise windows that looked down upon the city, giving him a grand view of the mountains. Abbaddon sat, perched upon a nearby statue of Ares, his head cocked to the side. So have you made a decision regarding what I've told you? Dante shrugged as he drapped the towel over his strong shoulders, "how exactly does this affect me again?" Abbaddon only shook his feathery head, It is your destiny, along with the others to influence the past. To leave yourself from the ordeal could have detrimenal effects on yourself and on all that you know. Whether you or I like it or not, if you do not at least involve yourself, it may have disastorous, or even fatal results. Dante rubbed the towel on the back of his head, "well we can't have that now can we?" I would imagine that you wouldnt', nor would I Dante sighed, glancing at the nearby armoire that was filled with the modern armor and weapons he knew he'd need, "fine, but not right this minute, I need to change." Abbaddon only sighed, though it showed signs of a mental smile as you wish, but time is of the essence Dante only smiled again as he walked from the living room, and paced through into his bedroom. He didn't mind really, especially considering it could affect him. Plus he needed something new in his life, something exciting, and this would prove to be just that, and he knew that.

He didn't bother trying to pretend he was unarmed, even if he didn't have the swords across his back and crossbow at his belt his usage of lightning wouldn't escape them. Carefully edging past the tiger so as not to antagonise it he offered to help up Kya. Sha'ghul turned to the tiger. "I am Sha'ghul, the Storm Falcon and guardian of this elemental. It is an honour." She said formally. "We are here to restore Lyria." Without looking back Kadaeux helped up Kya. "Actually thats just a beneficial side effect, I am going to kill the Teacher myself and restore balance, and avenge my family."
