Annie Alden had grown up for the love of gardens her whole life. Living in the country with flowers and wild weed surrounding her she fell into the trap of her grandmother’s love of life. She was just putting on a spot of tea waiting for a dear friend to stop by. A few years back her friend and herself had gotten a group of their best company and put together what they now called, “The Garden Club” in which they created to relax with each other’s company and do what they loved the most, bring the vibrant colours of the world out! She was bustling about the kitchen getting the tea and muffins ready when a knock at the door could be heard. “Coming! Coming!” She said dropping the kettle and cursing under her breath at the mess she just made. The door was ringing off the hook now in such an impatient manner which riled Annie up even more. “One second I said!” She yelled frantically as she fell across the floor frantically whipping the water up with a towel. Hoping it was dry enough she placed the kettle back on the stove and ran to the door, nearly tripping over the carpet in the hall. She opened the door wide and looked with a distasteful expression on her face. “What? Since when did the mail see fit to actually make it to my front door?” She said in a horrid manner. The mail man nervously cleared his throat and apologized for doing his job. He had Annie sign for a parcel then left in a hurry, looking as if he needed to use the washroom badly.
She shook her head and through the package on the couch in the living room… She ran upstairs to change and only got out of her shirt when she realized how daft she was today. “Damn! The muffins!” She dived over her bed and nearly toppled down the stairs as she entered a very smelly kitchen. “Oh no, oh no, oh no!!!” She wined as she pulled open the oven and yanked the muffins out… smoke filling the room. She ran around the house opening the windows and completely forgot of how poorly dressed she was when the door rang once again. “COMING!” [ooc]
