| [OCC] It was raining once again. It was starting to seem like it was never going to stop. Mel was someone who liked the rain every now and again. She was a child on the inside, just wanting to run and turn around and around as the cold rain droplets would hit her warm skin. It was just so much fun, it made her feel free from stress and so many other things, but right now that rain was not her friend. A sigh came from her slightly glossy lips as she stared with her deep brown eyes out the window into the deep gray clouds. She was crying on the inside, and the rain was just showing her hidden emotions. Melody stood there in the hotel room she had been ranting for the last two weeks, but with no way of getting a job and life being so crazy lately she was running out of money and fast. She didn’t want to bother her friends, even though she was sure someone would have let her stay at their house for a little. Ever since that night the demon came crashing through her front door, she lost everything. For by the end of it all, the house had been set ablaze. She had stood there that night just watching the roaring fire slowly take away everything from her. She was just lucky to be alive. So for that she was thankful, yet she had so much bad luck in life. Shaking her head. She looked away from the window, she wasn’t about to let all of this get her down. She was going to leave for the Café to meet up with everyone. Only she wondered if she was going to be able to make it there without dying. There had already been so much death in the area, nothing could stop those dammed demons. It broke her heart. Running a hand through her long black hair she sighed once more and picked up her two small bags of what she had left. Once she had a hold on them, she picked up the room key and started for the door. Only she stopped short to look at herself in the mirror just in front of the door. The girl she saw was not the girl she had once been. For now her tanned skin didn’t glow, it looked as dull as her eyes did. Her make-up was lighter then she would usually do it for if she broke-down again, she didn’t want to have to deal with the mess of make-up once again. It was just a pain in the ass. Only that was not all that girl in mirror had. She was frowning, a sadness over taking her whole body. How was she ever going to fool anyone today? She wasn’t and that was just the answer. **** Somehow Mel had gotten a cab- there seemed to be no one going anywhere anymore. Even though Mel could drive, she had never really need a car before now. She had always gotten a ride from someone before. Picking her up from school –yes she was in her last year, but even now school wasn’t in. They had closed every school in the area down until it was saver out once more. She knew that wasn’t about to happen anytime soon. But that was just one stress that had been taken away from the poor girl. So she was thankful for that much. The cab then pulled up the café which was sitting alone by the small woods behind it. She couldn’t help but smile weakly at it. Picking up her bags, she started digging for her money when the driver’s voice rang into her ears. “No need miss, I can already tell your low on cash. “ He said before winking at Mel. She felt her cheeks become warm. She nodded her head slightly before getting out of the cab. She didn’t look back at the younger driver and just started off for the café. She just hoped to god that she would never had to get in a car with him again. For one she was pretty sure he was much too old for her and two, he really wasn’t all that cute. But she didn’t want to be mean. . .he just wasn’t her type. Then again did Mel even have a type? Even that she didn’t know. She could hear the honk of the from the driver. She jumped slightly and slowly turned to see him wave good bye. She didn’t move, for she really couldn’t take anything from any guy right now. So as he turned down the road and started back off for town she sighed. “Stupid.” She mumbled to herself before walking the rest of the way to the glass door. The café had large window running along the front of the building. As she walked she could see the many booths and tables with matching colours of bright red and a darker blue- it was almost a navy colour. She could already smell the coffee, even if she hated that awful stuff- it still had a nice smell. Opening the door, she heard the soft ring that echoed through the almost empty room. There were a few older men playing a game of cards at the far end of the café. They seemed to be there as much as their group did. It was funny one every now and again the two groups would joke around. Although sometimes it turned into a fight. Mel didn’t really like that much, but it was amusing at times. She could now really smell the coffee and couldn’t help but take a deep breath off it. Pushing a few pieces of her long soft bangs from her face she moved more into the warmth of the café and away from the cold rain. It may already be March but it felt as if it was late October. Letting her sharp glaze move about the rest of the room, she did not see either one of the twins, she guessed they must have been in the back. Moving away from the now closed glass door, Mel made her way over to the groups table. For some reason they always seemed to sit there. Sometimes she mostly thought because it was one of the bigger booths- so they could all fit without sitting too closely. Throwing her bags into the seat behind her booth, she then slipped into the seat and moved all the way so she was sitting by the partly dirty window. She would have to tell one of the twins about that, Melody has always hated dirty windows, it makes life on the other side unclear. Unclear in her world was a very bad thing.

Wash rag in one hand and tray in the other, Andrew was working very hard to clean up the back area of the, soon to be his, café. "Someone" had just made a mess and, of course, it was Andrew's job to clean it up. Nothing difficult but it would require a change of pants later, those clean "spots" on a pair of brown slacks can be rather obvious at times. Freida could help with it but she always had "other stuff" to do and Andrew liked doing stuff by hand, like he had a real choice in the matter. "Look at my little worker bee," Andrew's mother came out of nowhere to surprise him. "Always going about your work, just like we taught him." "Yup, he's got this place working better then anyone in this family ever has," Added the Andrew's father. "Its a damn shame this demon problem has gotten so outa hand," A quick add on by Andrew's father. "Dad, its a little more then a problem. I mean," Braking in his speech Andrew stood up and dusted off the red and blue apron. Uniforms to match the decor made its employees blend in to the surroundings, so Andrew always thought. "I mean, haven't you noticed that its not even safe outside the café anymore?" "Nonsense! Its nothing worse then we had to deal with-" Andrew just held up his hand and nodded, "I know Dad. This is NOTHING compared to what you and mom or even grandma and grandpa had to deal with. Its just that," Letting out a loud and heavy sigh as he placed the tray down on a empty counter and tossed the wash cloth on top of it. "Its just that, I wish I could do more sometimes." "More nonsense! Your sister can do-" This time Andrew's father was cut off by the ringing of an entering customer, saved by the bell. Andrew peeked out from the serving window and saw Mel. Quickly his face glowed as he watched her look around the room she had looked around so many times before. This was something Andrew never seemed to get bored of, watching Mel. He did stop himself when he realized he might be "lurking" or "gaping". Pulling back from the window he untied his apron and dropped it on top of the tray and wash cloth he had there. "I'm taking the rest of the day off, let the new girl handle stuff. She'll at least not break things," Andrew almost laughed at his comment as he spoke to his parents. They, however, didn't seem to be as amused as he was with it. Both mother and father gave Andrew "that look" but Andrew didn't seem to care too much. Its not like he was getting fired any time soon or even getting a pay cut, he wasn't actually hired or getting paid. Andrew started to exit the kitchen area, opening the door when he saw Mel again. She seemed sad or upset about something but Andrew thought he knew what. He chuckled to himself as he reached back and took a clean washrag from the pile and some window cleaner. Hiding them behind his back, he walked up to Mel rather slowly and stopped at the edge of the table, "Clean your win-" Interrupted by an odd riping noise, Andrew looking around the café. None of the wallpaper seemed to have been peeled off and no one looked like they were in trouble or anything, so the noise was shrugged off. "Clean your window, Mel," Andrew started to ask again. "I know you like to see outside, ESPECIALLY when it rains," He grinned rather large as he was talking to the girl of his dreams. |

| Mel had only sitting in the leather booth for a few minutes, just looking out of the dirty window with a frown on her glossy light pink lips. That’s when she heard the soft ring of the café’s door. She looked over her shoulder in hopes that it was someone from her group, but no luck. It was just so odd looking man. Okays maybe more than just a little odd looking. That man looked just plan strange. Letting her deep brown eyes take in the wired out fix; he was wearing all black, and a hat you wouldn’t see that much and he also had weird yellow tubes around him. Unless he was just trying to make a new fashion, then he would be what she call a “freak” and she didn’t say that much. Yet Mel had too much to worry about, so she didn’t seem to look at him for very much longer as he made his way in her direction. Turning back to the dirty window, she placed her one elbow on the table top and placed her cheek in her lightly tanned pam. Letting her glaze move back to the rain droplets as they flow down from the angry gray clouds down to the forming puddles on the ground. As each droplet hit the surface of the water, small ripples came before another droplet would hit to start them all over again. The sound of rain was so calming and peaceful, only it could not bring her to piece as it always had. She couldn’t help but think of her mother, how she missed her so much. Why did it have to happen to her? The bad luck her family had, it was just awful. Like already losing two family member wasn’t enough, so they had to take another one? It was like something was out to get Mel, like that something was trying to hurt her heart before coming to get her. Somehow Mel had seemed to become lost within her thoughts. Staring out into space and no longer really looking at anything. A small frown sitting on her lips as parts of her long black bangs fell over her glazed brown eyes. Only with the sound of a voice she knew very well did it bring her back to the real world. Ripping her glaze away from the window and rain she looked over to see Andrew. She smiled a little and was about to ask him to say that again, but she noticed he was looking away from her, window cleaner and a rage in his hand. Her smile grew a little bigger and luck for her he spoke once more after he looked back towards her. Letting her hand come up to push her hair from her face, Mel took the window cleaner and rage from Andrew and said “Thank you.” With her soft, shy and sweet voice. Mel never really thought much about how he seemed to know the weirdest things about her. It wasn’t really like they were best friends or anything, that what herself and Shard were. Andrew and herself were only good friends nothing more and nothing less. After all they hadn’t been hanging out for too long, only a few years. Turning away from Andrew, the smile still playing across her lips, she started to clean the window. Pulling the handle to let the clean spray over parts of the window. After a few spots were covered with the white bubbles did she take the rage and started moving it over the window. Only with the need to reach higher did she turn the rest of her lower body on the seat, letting herself sit on her knees. Pushing her body up a little, Mel reached up for the higher places on the window. Once she was done with that did she sit back down and look at her job. Feeling happy with what she did, she turned back to let her feet and legs slip back to off the seat of the booth. After her feet touched the tiled floor did she turned to smile at Andrew. “Thanks again.” She said before holding the cleaner and rage to him. Now she could look out the window without having to look through all that dirt. For some odd reason, Mel seemed to pick out all those small details. Her mother used to say it was because she was an artist. . . . . .

Rose was walking down in a path in the woods, trying to forget the invasion, and everything that had happened since it had started. She Looked around as she walked, taking in everything that she could, and focusing first on the big stuff. It wasn't working. Whenever she thought back, she could only recall that small red pebble in the stream, the small discoloration on the trunk of a tree, where a small fire had burnt it. She knew the big stuff, like the color of this world, of course, but she just couldn't focus on it when she tried to remember. This world...It did seem like a separate place, now she thought about it. The trees hiding everything, the suns light only just touching the ground. No...It was the same in the city, except louder. The buildings hid everything, the clouds, which had been there since the first death at the hands of a demon, stopped almost all of the sunlight. Now that Rose was thinking about it, she realized that she hated the forest almost as much as the city, except for its lack of demons. Kicking at a stone, Rose lost her balance, and it was only a quick spell that stopped her falling in a muddy puddle. She sighed, and then carefully got up. What she really needed was a good friend. She turned, and started to run swiftly and lightly, back to the Café, with the help of a spell, of course. It started to rain. ---An hour later--- Rose shook herself dry just before she entered the door of the Café, making sure she was still damp so she could tell her brother to change the rain. As she stepped inside, she saw Andy talking to a customer...Mel. Rose grinned to herself, and then realized that she couldn't tell Andy to stop the rain, not in front of Mel...Rose looked around for moment, and then walked over to Mel's booth, and sat down, Saying "Hi" to Mel and "Hi Andy" to her brother. Not waiting for a response from either of them, she proceeded to say, "Raining a lot, these days, isn't it Andy?" With, of course, a slight emphasis on the word Andy. And with that, Rose adopted the glazed expression that ment she was doing complex magic, though she really just cast a quick spell that enabled her to see wherever she wanted, without turning her head. Then she remembered, with a jolt, the person that had taught her to do this. And old woman in Mexico, who had died the day after, leaving everything she had to Rose. It wasn't much, just an orb and a cat, but it was a gesture that left Rose in tears for days, and still made her eyes watery when she thought about it. The old woman, whose name Rose never found out, had preferred to cast her spells through the orb, which Rose of course been suspicious of at first, but later realized was just a place to focus a spell on. She still had that orb...and the cat, it usually hung around in the kitchen. Remembering what she was doing, she looked back at Mel and Andy.

Shard was hungry. She had been for a few days now... Her store of blood from doners had been destroyed in the initial invasion, and it was becoming exceedingly hard to find a Human walking around. The blonde strolled quietly down the street, her hands resting in the pockets of her black slacks. Glancing up and down the sidewalk she noticed, without much surprise, that she was the only one chancing walking around. Since the demons had started claiming the city, the humans that were alive barely left their houses, and when they did they ran straight to their stupid little cars to drive safely off. Shard had just been downtown, lurking infront of the hospital. Her plan to convince someone to let her in was thwarted by the fact that no one even came near the doors...except an ambulence once, but they were too busy to even notice Shard's existance. After a few hours it became apparent that no one else was coming, so she left, her stomach growling, and her eyes shining a pale blue. To cap her bad mood, it began to rain. The icky, wet kind. Pulling out a pencil she threw her hair into a quick but tight bun to minimize how wet it got as she continued towards the Cafe, hopeing that Mel would be there. By the time she reached the Cafe, she was drenched, but her shoulder felt like it was on fire. When all hell broke loose...quite literally... Shard had been downtown, scouting out a rich adult human to bite. She didn't want to bite children, nor poor people... The rich adults could handle the bloodloss and pay for the hospital bill to treat them afterwords. She had been waiting at her favorit club for a few hours, sitting at the bar. The manager and barkeep were under the impression that she was either a prostitute or Really bad at holding relationships. It didn't take all too long for a man to take her back to his place for the night... She'd just began to feed, when demons broke in. Unfortunatly it was a group that did not take kindly to her kind. She'd managed to escape with a single wound set to her left shoulder where the demon's claws had ripped across it. Now the white bandages were nearly seethrough, save for where the now moistened wound seeped its blood. Takeing down her hair she draped it over her shoulder, to help hide the wound. She made a mentle note to change her bandages later, and stepped into the cafe. Pleased that it wasn't raining in here too, she made her way over to the groups table, and took a seat beside Mel, Seemingly obliviouse to the fact she had just dripped all over the floor. "Anyone else noticed the sky is leaking?" She asked, before crossing her arms on the table and laying her head down upon them. From her now horizontal viewpoint she looked over at Mel, happy that she seemed to be intact, and fairly happy. She saw then that the window was clean, and knew she must've just cleaned it.. For some reason that had always lightened her mood, even in the most dreary of times... (finished, srry bout that) Last edited by Shard; 05-27-2009 at 08:20 PM. |

A shiver ran up and down Gavin's spine as he ran quickly through the rain in hopes of keeping his body heat high, but the act seemed more like a failure even despite his effort. The thunderous sound of rain hitting against the top of his poncho made the situation seem all the more dire too him as he quickly ran in the familiar direction he knew the cafe to be in. As soon as he could feel the chill of the cool air touch his skin, his need to hide his demonic nature was lost to him as he quickly ran at the fastest speed he could muster, knowing that in days like today it wasn't quite rare to see a demon running about along the city streets. It was for personal reasons of course that Gavin normally chose to keep his nature hidden... physically. Attracting attention wasn't the best situation he wanted to put himself in right now, especially when he didn't know if those that had come to earth were of a good nature to him or bad. They were demons so naturally it would be rough to discern a difference between the two types, but he was sure he would find out in due time. The longer they went without knowing of his existence would always be the better in the end though. The sight of the cafe from a distance called for Gavin to immediately slow himself down a bit so that he didn't surprise or make any of those he knew inside suspicious of him, but he made sure to keep up a good humanized running pace. With as much fervency as he could muster he managed to make it through the door to the cafe and inside the warmer and safer area before the bell had even rung. Of course his efforts were for naught as soon as let a sneeze escape him, attracting even more attention to his arrival. "It probably wasn't the best idea to stay out so late," he mumbled to himself as he began to remove his hood and rain coat, revealing himself to any who were already there. He had noticed the gathering at the booth he had already familiarized himself with and chose not to associate himself with them yet until he was doing better physically. Instead he tossed his raincoat upon and empty booth, not caring where it dripped as he headed to the main counter real quick where he saw the lady of the cafe hard at work. "You have any water boiling, Josie?" he asked as he rubbed at his arms, in hopes of attempting to help his five layers of clothing in heating himself up. A smirk came to his lips as he watched the older woman jump a bit, having not expected her work to be interrupted. The minute she turned to look at him, he couldn't help the amused chuckle that escaped his throat. "Why good morning, Gavin," she spoke kindly through a smile, "We have water boiling at the moment. If you want I could make you some hot chocolate. Of course that will cost you." "Awwww," he responded as his face faltered in playfulness, "You can't give a discount for your favorite customer?" "Hot water it is then," she said aloud, as she moved to go into the back kitchen. "Aw man," was Gavin's main response, "Come on, Josie. You know you love me. Just sneak a little chocolate in there for me, and I promise I won't tell." The woman just let a light bit of laughter escape her as she moved to bring a mug out to Gavin and hand it to him, ignoring his flirtatious banter like she had done so many times before. "Be careful not to burn yourself," was all she said in response as he took the cup from her, the heat of the water bringing a soothing comfort to his hands that shot through his body. "Don't worry. I won't," was all he said before he quickly chugged down the still steaming water in front of her and handed the cup back. "That's just how I like it." Ignoring the look of surprise on the woman's face, he quickly asked for another cup, which she kindly complied to after washing the shock from her face. Then it was with a wink and a new cup in hand that he left her, heading to the table of the group he had invested himself in, so long ago. "I fucking hate the rain," was his only greeting to the group of them as he took his seat at the booth, slowly letting the heat of the water and the dry air in the cafe warm him as he tried to relax himself into the booth seat, resting his head on the nearest person with total disregard for their personal space. It wasn't until he had got a good glimpse of everyone else that he spoke again. "Apparently I'm not the only one."

Having the rags "snatched" from him Andrew let out a light, if not a bit shocked, sigh. He wanted to clean the window for Mel not have her work in the café he was going to own, maybe live there. He did know something was off still, even with her now shifting smile. "I can make it-" Again Andrew was interrupted, this time by his sibling. She strolled in with her "holier then thou" type of walk. Shame Freida didn't smack her head into the table with her ditsy behavior. Freida, that name was one Andrew like to use, if only because of Freida's use of "Andy". Perhaps it was the other way around? Maybe Rose called Andrew "Andy" only because he called her Frieda instead of Rose? Andrew never cared to much as too which one was right, him or her, because he was always right. Frieda is too stupid to be anything other then wrong. Suddenly Andrew shook his head as he tool realized he was lost, his face was a little mad as he looked down at his now sitting sibling. "Your cat made a mess in the kitchen, again," Andrew said after Frieda made her comment about the rain. "How about you clean it up and try not to break anything, Frieda," He added in a clear condescending tone. Siblings, they fight like that. Trying again to talk to Mel without interruption he turned to her with a smile, "You know I-" But once more Andrew was interrupted. This time it was by Mel's best friend, the vampire. Disgusting creatures, surviving off others like parasites. Andrew didn't have a real problem with Shard, she at least only "hit" those that could handle the aftermath of her meal. Looked like Shard didn't get a meal though, seemed a little "peaked". A thought came to Andrew's mind, if he got in better graces with Shard, the best friend, then maybe Mel would open up a little more. Quickly he closed his eyes and concentrated. He increased the downpour of rain just enough so it would make a soft melody once again, as it seemed to have lightened up. He did it in spite of the others but for Mel, not like any of them would know except for Frieda. Then he turned from the table and walked quickly to the back. He lay the rag and cleaner down where he had gotten them from and headed to the frig. Quietly he opened the frig and grabbed a "special brew" from the back. Something that was similar to human blood but not the same and rather expensive to make. He sneaked it by his busily working mother and almost got to the kitchen door when he saw Gavin entering the café. Andrew hid, keeping himself from view as he watched Gavin try to seduce his mother. "What a pig! Demons I swear," He said as Gavin finally got his hot drink and sat down. Not long after Gavin's little "speech" had Andrew slid the drink in front of Shard. He said nothing only sitting down as close to Mel as he could and as far from Gavin as he could. He rest on the same bench as Mel with Gavin across from him. Between himself and Mel sat Shard and his sibling seemed to be as equally entranced with the window as Mel but Frieda was less fun to watch. Andrew sat up and said a little quietly, "I like the rain." |

![]() { PEOPLE MOVING ALL THE TIME } ι и ѕ ι ∂ є • α • ρ є я f є c т ℓ у • ѕ т я α ι g н т • ℓ ι и є » » » » » † « « « « « The only actual problem in Stone’s eyes about the world actually coming to an end, was that it had felt this way for many years before the statement was actually true. The male made a flick of his wrist, casting the cigarette ashes outside the window of his black Chevrolet Impala ’67. His opposite hand clenched against the leather that was wrapped around the steering wheel, the small squeaks of it moving unwillingly under his palm were easily over looked as Stone’s eyes scanned the roads. Lifting the filter to his lips, he inhaled deeply, not stopping until his lungs could carry no more filth. Slowly letting the intoxication out, he watched it fly into the air out his window in his side review mirror. To be honest, he was doing the world a favor. Speeding up Earth’s demise would put an end to all of this. Taking one last drag, he flicked it out his window, the butt already forgotten as soon as it left his grasp. Shard hated it when he smoked, but sometimes there were things that even she couldn’t stop him from doing. It was calming, gave him the small spark he needed now and then. And it wasn’t like he smoked one cancer stick after another. He could never do that to himself, though he might just try to smite the love of his life, just to get a reaction. ”She’d bloody kill me,” His voice was husky, dark. Almost like an unkept velvet sheet, the soft material frayed here and there. Of course, to Stone, it was just another voice the world had no time, nor the ears, to listen to. This was completely fine by him. He had much better things to dwell on than wasting his breath on such meaningless things. His right boot pulsed against the gas petal, picking up speed as the engine roared louder. The sound was as calming as a heartbeat to the male. To anyone, whether they knew him or not, it was easy to tell that the car was one of the only things he openly showed affection for. If anything happened to it, all he’d have left in the world was Shard, and vise versa. Pulling his left hand to the wheel, bracing himself as he took a sharp right, his eyebrows lifted with amusement. The lack of cars on the road made it easier for Stone to let up on his driving skills. The speed increased once more, and he took another squealing turn, this time to the left. Oh yes, the empty streets didn’t help his adrenaline for fast cars and ruthless driving at all. But who was there to stop him, now that the end of the world was approaching? It took the male only three minutes to round the corner and pull up to the curb behind what looked like a bike. He scowled at it silently, wondering who owned it, and if they would care if he “accidentally” tailed it. Deciding against it, not wanting to ruin his good mood, he cut the engine. The street sounded eerie without the loud purr of the loud engine. Pocketing his keys into his leather jacket as he pushed out into the empty street, he glanced up towards the rain, ignoring the few drops that rolled down his cheeks under his eyes, and rolled down his chin. It hadn’t been raining this hard when he had left his apartment. Which could only mean that Weather-Boy was sucking up to Melody even more than usual. Rolling his eyes, he pushed towards the sidewalk, taking his time to make even steps against the pavement. No one was waiting for him, not really. He could take his time while he still had it to call his own. As he entered the café, his eyes narrowed, head tilting to the side. He didn’t notice his usual group first. A man stuck his interest rather quickly. It was the yellow tubes that caught his eye first, the contrast against his black attire only making it more noticeable. Rolling his tongue against the side of his cheek, sliding the side of it against one of his canines, he tried not to seem bothered about this newcomer. Something about him was hard to shake off, and feelings that lingered like that made Stone feel very uncomfortable. It seemed that his heavy boots against the floor were the loudest sound as he approached the booth, hands stuffed in his pockets. His hair was dabbed with raindrops, the gel he had half-assed ran through it after his shoulder was wet again, sending the absent fauxhawk into a small dip against his forehead. The rain rolled off the dark leather that pulled over his muscular torso, his ripped and ragged jeans hardly showing signs of the downpour outside, apart from the backs of his pants where his boots had stepped on the material. ”It’s such a pleasure,” Stone started, his eyes staring at the concentrated look on Andrew’s face with little amusement. ”To be indulged in your kiss-ass experiments. Ain’t it wet enough already?” Though his grammar varied, now and then missing a “g” here and there, or using too many cuss words in a sentence, he always held a valid point. He also thought before he spoke, which made the things he said more intelligent than what the harsh grammar seemed to make them. His hands pulled from his pockets, pulling off the coat to drape over the back of the booth. His haw squared, glancing at the seating arrangements they had chosen for today’s “meeting”. Seemed that one side of the booth wasn’t getting any love at all. His eyes scanned until they landed upon Melody. A spark touched his eyes, almost feeling sorry for his loss, before he realized what he was actually thinking. The more they all sulked about a demon attack, the more they were going to go down with whatever was coming next. His light eyes continued down the faces, his eyes resting on Rose. It was unusual to see Rose sitting so close to Mel. It was usually either Shard or Andrew who took up the side beside her, unless there were two available spots, one on either side. With little hesitation, they continued to Shard, a soft smile pulling at the sides of his lips. He blinked once, the smile slowly fading as his eyes narrowed on Gavin. The demon of the group. He was more like a human, in Stone’s personal opinion. He was cocky, almost self absorbed. It almost sounded like he was exactly like those annoying males who stood around with a football under their arm, striking a pose they thought would look attractive as pretty blonds in skirts passed. Without much of another word, or look, Stone glanced towards the man in the booth in front of them again, before walking to the end of the opposite seat. Leaning against the side of seat’s back, arms crossing over the tight maroon t shirt he was wearing, he stared at the members who were possibly the most oddly matched up. What did he say now? Did he give anyone an opening for conversation, or did he just continue to stare, like he was trying to find something to say? Sighing, he crossed his legs at the ankles and raises his eyes to the white ceiling, the light colour clashing “wonderfully” with the themed colours dark red and dark blue. But Stone wasn’t one to judge on exterior. His apartment was crap. ”Well . . . don’t every one talk all at once.”

| Before Mel got a reply from Andrew, Rose came in and sat down. Mel looked over at her and gave a sweet smile to the girl. Even though Rose was talking badly about the rain, it didn’t bother her. After all right now she wished to see the sun, it just had been raining for too long. Only before anything else could be said, Melody heard the sound of the door once more. Looking over her shoulder slightly she felt her face light up. Shard was here, Mel would have jumped out of the seat and ran over to her best friend if Andrew hadn’t been at the end of the table. So she sat there smiling a beaming smile well waiting for Shard to come sit down. Once Shard I sat down , Mel waved at her best friend in her shy ways. She would have spoken but she knew if she tried to speak right now that Shard would pick up on the hint of her off mood. So she kept her lips shut but soon found herself slightly frowning. It seemed everyone was talking about the rain. She could more than understand. Mel looked over for Andrew wanting some tea, but found him not there and sighed to herself. Looking over to Shard, she was about to ask Shard if she got something to eat- and she didn’t mean food. Now that Mel knew she, now tried her best not to freak out at the idea of her friend living off blood and. . . .other vampire things, that she could not let her mind think about for too long. After that she could hear Gavin’s voice and let herself once again look around the café. Letting deep brown eyes land on the male, she smiled slightly before looking back out the window. Mel need to talk with Gavin, but she thought she would wait a little. After all she didn’t want to bother him too much, then again she was going to ask him for a big favour. Soon enough Gavin had made his way over to the table and sat down, followed by Andrew who sat beside Shard. Mel knew that Gavin and Andrew didn’t get along well at all, more than half the time the two of them gave her a head ache –it was rather annoying at times, but she never said a thing. Normally it was Stone who would be the first to comment, which reminded Mel, he hadn’t come with Shard today. That was odd. Hearing Andrew comment just by a little she sighed and said. “The rain is nice, but it’s starting to become depressing.” And with that she looked back to the window. Letting her glaze look at the falling sky water. Running a hand through her bangs, she could her a loud sound coming towards the café. Looking towards the road she saw Stones car and looked over to Shard. “Boyfriend is here” With a small laugh to herself. It was hard to miss the loud roar of that freakin’ car. She could always hear it coming and by now she knew it was his right away. She watched Stone come in and knew already that he was annoyed by something. She guessed that it may be the rain, for it seemed everyone was getting annoyed with it now. Mel had just so happen to be right this time, but by the way he spoke it was almost like he was blaming Andrew for all of it. Well Mel never thought of it before but Andrew could in fact change the weather –which she still found odd. Mel was looking pass Shard over to Andrew with a partly surprised look. The words from stone ringing around in her head. Only once Stone spoke again and she couldn’t help but sigh. She might as well get this over with. “Hey Gavin? Can I talk for you for a minute?” She asked looking right at him. She knew he just sat down, but she wanted to get this done and over with before she forgot to. She felt her heart starting to speed up a little. So she took a deep breath and calmed herself down. She didn’t want anyone to see that she was having problems right now. Life was hell for everyone right now, so why should she make everyone worry about her. After all, entire group at some point need to talk about what they were going to do about this mess. Before it got more out of hand then it already did. Mel could ask Shard to stay at her house, but Shard had always done so much for Mel, plus Mel didn’t want to get in the way of Stone and Shard. If he was over, it would just be awkward for her. Plus Gavin was like a big brother to her, it wouldn’t really all be that weird, would it? She didn’t know and really didn’t care at this point. All she knew was that she need to get some where to stay before the end of the day and she wasn’t about to ask the twins to sleep in a booth. That would make her feel more of a homeless person.
