“Lucian has gone mad!” The gathered lycans roared in agreement. Herbert had called a meeting of his followers to his country estate to discuss the current news. Lucian had called an end to the fighting for some other goal. Herbert could not and would not stand by and do nothing while the filthy vampires spilt lycan blood in victory. Death was all they deserved. And by god, Herbert was going to deliver it to them. “We have fought long and hard to pay back the wrong they inflicted on our kind. We have made enormous progress towards pushing those filthy creatures out of their pretty little lives and out into the wilderness we have been forced to live in. No longer will they be known as the more perfect species. We are the greater warriors and we are the greater species!” Another roar resounded through the villa as the soldiers readied themselves for battle. Herbert new after his speech was delivered, there was no force on earth that could stop these men from fighting tonight. Their blood was hot with hate and their souls ached to shed blood. A smile was broadly displayed on Herbert’s face. These were his men and Lucian could do nothing to control them. This war would be won by Herbert’s clan and the ages would never forget he was the one who stood when Lucian knelt. “Tonight, we dine on the cold flesh of vampire! Gather all who would fight and make this a battle to remember! Tonight, we set the tone for this new war! No mercy, no relent, no compromise! The head of every vampire is all that will stop us! Go, and bathe in their blood!” The roar was deafening as a hundred blood crazed lycans tore the villa door to the off its hinges on their way out into the darkening sky. A full moon would soon be gracing the night sky and all hell would then break loose. Herbert sat down in his lazy boy recliner and turned on the TV. Greenbay 28, Cowboys 7. Nothing got Herbert more motivated than watching the NFL, especially when Greenbay are winning. |

"Here I am, in the dark of night, with nothing to do, and no excitement in sight." Kaie said to herself, walking down another dark alley, looking for some more lycans to pop out of their hiding spots. She had already killed two earlier, trying to feed off of some human girl.
Kaie despised lycans. She had only seen them tear apart her fellow warriors a few hundred times and couldn't help but feel sorry for the humans that came across them, even though she had not been one in nearly 300 years. She knew how to kill them, and as far as she was concerned, that was all she needed to know. Perhaps someday she would think more into it, but today it was kill or be killed. As Kaie turned the corner, she came across a group of humans in front of what looked like a bar, and smelled strongly of alcohol. She had met her personal goal for the night but was itching for something to get her blood pumping again. She had always hated alcohol but remembered how it always seemed to make everything more vivid in her mind, gave her an extra energy boost in her tired system. "What could it hurt?" She sayd, shrugging off her intuition and trudging up the door, the weight of her handguns and dagger on her sides giving her comfort. As she was opening the door, a rather large man ran out, bumping into her, along with two others behind him. He looked to be clutching a broken arm to his chest and all three seemed to want to be as far away from the bar as possible. She had seen worse bar fights than that in her lifetime, eventhough she wasn't even old enough to legally drink. She had a fake ID along with her, eventhough few had the balls to card her. Something in her eyes made her seem older than she was due to the knowledge behind them. Kaie continued into the bar and sat down a few feet from a rather handsome dark looking man. He looked like he could easily tower over her 5'4 frame, and she had a feeling he was responsible for the man's broken arm. When she finally looked away, the bartender was standing right infront of her asking her what she wanted to drink. "Vodka on the rocks please." Her favorite drink. She only stared at him for a few minutes and he knew not to ask for her license. A few minutes later he returned with her drink, but she couldn't help but notice a smell different from the alcohol. She smelled....animal......lycan.

Dylon felt a new presence enter the room just as immediately as the three men had ran out... The new body walked up almost immediately to the bar and sat down, staring at him for a good couple of seconds before ordering. As he felt their eyes leave him, he turned his head to look at who ever it was. He first noticed her eyes, then just about everything else. Something was... different, and just about that time the smell of a vampire entered his nostrils.
He immediately knew it was her... she was a vampire... Natural instinct came about and told him to rip her throat out, but he wasn't looking for a fight tonight... Dylon had more of a "fight when your life is in danger" mentality, he wouldn't antagonize someone unless they acted first, and that was final... especially tonight. His clawed back his first instinct and looked back at the alcohol in his hand, took another drink and then glanced back at the girl who looked no older than 18... grinning faintly as he looked back at his glass. The bartender gave the girl her drink and walked back over to Dylon, picking up another glass and cleaning it. "We usually get ones like her in here around this time every night..." He seemed suspicious, though didn't immediately say he thought something was up. "Oh really...?" Dylon asked, leaning over on his elbows slightly, taking another glance at the girl. "Yeah... Quit staring... you might draw some more attention to yourself..." The barkeep grinned, walking away to help another customer which had just walked in through the door.

Kaie sipped her drink, thinking of what she could possibly do in a bar with a lycan sitting right next to her. She could feel his eyes on her, not knowing whether she should take that as a threat, or a compliment. Had he noticed she was a vampire? Kaie knew he could smell her, smell that her body was not quite alive, and her scent was not that of a human.
She was somewhat surprised that he hadn't attacked her yet. The only times she had seen a lycan being when they were attacking something, or someone. In all her years she had never seen a temperate lycan, and had to admit she was quite curious. Kaie made the decision to fortfeit her offensive position at this moment. She wanted to talk to him more than she wanted to drive her silver dagger through his heart; Something she had never felt before. Slowly Kaine stood up, drink in hand, and walked down the bar in the direction of the lycan. She was more alert than ever, gauging his every move in case he was going to attack. She settled herself on the stool next to him, placing her drink down. "Why didn't you attack me when you figured out what I am?" Kaie whispered. She had most likely taken him off gaurd. Hell, she even took herself off gaurd. She would never have thought she would talk to a lycan, only kill it.

Dylon didn't flinch even an inch at her movements, though he carefully analyzed each and every step she took, she seemed... skittish. To tell the truth, he wasn't at all ready for a vampire to come from the other side of a bar and sit right next to him... it wasn't something you saw everyday. He listened to her words, still not fidgeting what so ever as if to warn her he was ready to attack if she decided to.
"Why didn't you attack me when you figured out what I am?" He took a drink from his glass, setting it back down and leaning on his elbows a little more, turning his head slightly toward her but he didn't look into her eyes, "I do not attack which does not attack me first..." He whispered back, taking up his glass again and swirling the amber liquid around, watching the foam come to the center of the mini whirlpool he had formed. "I would like to ask you the same question ma'am... If you wouldn't mind answering to a Lycan..." He whispered, then turned his head slightly, moving his eyes more as he looked at her this time, his expression was a little odd looking, almost as if he was playing with her. Though it wasn't like a playing which a lycan would do before killing its prey and taking it out back to eat at its corpse... It was more like a small puppy would when its energy is at its highest.

To her surprise, he did not attack her. She had never seen a lycan so calm, so....human-like. She could sense that he wasn't going to hurt her, and it confused her more than what he said. He seemed so calm, it almost made her at ease, although she fought to keep her guard up.
"I do not attack which does not attack me first..." She raised her eyebrow, finding it ironic how he would choose not to attack unless he was attacked, when he very nature was to hunt. His very nature made him a very dangerous killer. If she was human and was just talking to this man because he was handsome, she would not know that he was such. She would think he was just a well mannered man enjoying a drink in a bar. "I would like to ask you the same question ma'am... If you wouldn't mind answering to a Lycan..." She could tell he was playing with her. He reminded her of a overly energetic and bored puppy that just came across a cat to play with. "I did not attack you because I find it interesting that you are not a ravenous dog trying to kill me. I have never seen a civilized or human-like lycan." She continued to drink, feeling her muscles relax, but her heartbeat grow faster.

"I did not attack you because I find it interesting that you are not a ravenous dog trying to kill me. I have never seen a civilized or human-like lycan."
With those words, Dylon could feel her relax... though the odd thing was her heartbeat was inclining, his keen ears having picked up the rhythmic pulse. He had never really had any one on one time with a vampire, most any of them would have attempted to drive a chunk of silver down his throat an hour ago. "I see..." He paused and then laughed a little, "Not all of us wish for a constant supply of blood..." He was faintly making a joke about how vampires require blood where Lycan's don't have any draw backs really. Dylon arched his back, groaning slightly as it popped. His back had been liberally screwed up by a vampire... This had become a normal sight to see when watching him every now and then. It was actually quite similar to what was going on now, though the vampire was a male and had a driving will to inflict as much pain mentally before he got irritated and began to attack. "Some of your brethren aren't far off from ravenous dogs either..." He took a drink from his glass, then looked back to examine the female vampire, locking eyes with her for the longest before he glanced at something else to stay away from a twinge of nervousness. What was his problem tonight...?

"Not all of us wish for a constant supply of blood..." Kaie knew he was making fun of her kind. Yes, vampires needed blood to survive, but its varied how much each one needed, not everybody needed to feed everyday.
"When you have a strong enough will, you do not need constant anything." When she was turned, she was immediately taught how to live without contantly feeding, having been defiant with her "master" and thrown into the dungeon for months at a time. Going a couple weeks or a month without feeding seemed like a cake walk compared to that. "Some of your brethren aren't far off from ravenous dogs either..." Kaie couldn't agree more. She had been turned by one, trained by one, even forced to kill by one. She had made a personal vow to herself that she would never give in to the hunger that raged her body. She could deal with a blood transfusion pack from a hosptial every few weeks, she did not need to kill anybody to survive. "Believe me, I know. But I am not one of them, and I no longer associate with that kind. I only kill what attacks my friends and family..." Kaie trailed off, deep in thought. She had revealed this to a lycan. Why? Why was it so easy to talk to him with her guard down? Kaie looked up to meet his eyes and instinctively slammed up a mental sheild, once again replacing her tired relaxed muscles with a stiff tension.

"Believe me, I know. But I am not one of them, and I no longer associate with that kind. I only kill what attacks my friends and family..."
He grinned slightly as he watched her go tense, looking back to his glass, swirling it around. "Look... If I was honestly going to attack you..." He looked away from his glass, staring back at her, "I would have already done so before you set foot in this place." His grin turned into a small smile, "You CAN calm down... you know..." His voice was slightly more energetic, though his words came out fluidly. His forest green eyes remained on her for a second, then went back to his drink, taking a swig out of it. "Well-..." his senses flared and he felt some of his kin coming closer, "Shit..." He chugged down what little was left in his glass, "If you don't wish to see a Lycan fighting another group of his own..." He looked around, "You best find a place to hide..." For some reason his voice signaled that he didn't wish for her to get hurt... He was tipping the scales on the "Unusual Lycan" graph tonight. As he stood up, his forearm lightly grazed hers, though it was enough to get her scent on him, he didn't notice this immediately, her scent had already faintly tainted his clothes even though they didn't touch each other or anything... His brethren had senses sub par to his, and that wasn't a good thing if you were trying to hide something...
