Sonya Khalturin
It was captivating, just like a whirlpool spinning round and round. Endlessly circling itself causing beautiful spirals. However it wasn't water that formed this whirlpool, no. In this case it was hot chocolate with peppermint inside not a lake, but a little coffee cup. How was this whirlpool being created though? Simple, a young girl named Sonya was stirring it with a simple mixing straw. Currently the sixteen year old was debating on what to do next. She'd gotten her pokedex the day before when she got into town, but she had forgotten to ask about where she needed to go to get her first ribbon for this region. This girl had been sitting there in the shop wearing her black tank top, dark blue jeans, and her orange-red hair tied in a ponytail for about ten minutes now. She had arrived in New Amber Town yesterday morning and had spent the day relaxing to get settled in. Normally she would have jumped right into things, but she had wanted to take things more calmly this time around. After several years of being a trainer she had finally learned that patience was a great virtue, especially when she became a coordinator and she had to practice a lot with her pokemon day and night just to get everything right for upcoming contests. It had been awhile since she had last competed in a contest and after her last year in the Hoenn region she had gone home to her family and visited them for a little over a month before coming to the Viore region. She wanted to see her twin sisters one last time before they headed off for their own pokemon adventure together. When they did leave three days ago she had given each of them one of her own pokemon. Her Absol for Tatiana, and Milotic which she had given to Katia. Her sister had promised her that they would return them one day after they had their own trained pokemon. Of course most people would start out with a regional starter, but her sisters had really taken a liking to the two pokemon and promised they wouldn't use them for contests until they each had won a contest with their own pokemon. As the girl finally stopped stirring her drink and took a sip she looked out the window. So far the Viore region was pretty nice. The sites here in New Amber Town were pretty neat, and from what the girl could tell the hot chocolate was good too. It was official, so far she like it here. Sadly she would have to depart this little shop though. So the girl stood up and walked out the door and began heading back to the lab. She needed to find out where to head so she could enter in a contest again. Ever since she lost at the grand festival in the Hoenn region she had been determined to succeed this year. Along her way to the lab she spotted a man with a couple of pokemon following him. It was one thing to have one pokemon that wasn't in a pokeball, but to have two? No, three! Their was a third one checking things out behind him. The idea behind letting them out all the time was nice, but when you had too many out it was just irresponsible and careless. Worst of all was that one was a Klefki. From what she had read Klefki weren't all that impressive, and possibly could be considered one of the worst pokemon for its home region. It was hard to judge just from the studies the girl had done though. She had only been to the Sinnoh region, the Hoenn region, and of course the Johto region where she was born. So anything outside of those regions she'd done research on so she would eb prepared for this new region. Well there could be worse though, Magikarp for example. In any event the girl decided to make her first interaction and also her first introduction within Viore. Quickly walking over to the man and stopping in front of him she smiled kindly as her hair blew around a bit in the breeze. "Well hello there! I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess you're a pokemon trainer? My name is Sonya Khalturim, it's a pleasure to meet you." Sonya then bowed forward slightly in greetings and noticed that the small pokemon following a ways behind might just redeem the guy. It was another pokemon she'd only read about but it was definitely cuter in person.
