Hadley McBeth

3:45 am
Wakes up, tosses, and goes back to bed.
4:18 am
Wakes up in cold sweats, pulls covers over body, and goes back to bed.
5:55 am
“Fuck it.” A curse could be heard from a frustrated insomniac as slender legs kicked off a Carnage fleece throw. Spiderman. One can become immune to pills should they take them repeatedly. Unfortunately, that seems to be the case here. This past week the sleeping meds prescribed by her doctor had gradually become less effective. Although school work wasn't suffering, yet, her mind was awfully fatigued. Sometimes she found herself falling asleep while eating and couldn't remember what had happened prior, like now. How did she manage to take a shower when she couldn't remember hopping out of bed just moments ago?
6:22 am
Cold water cascaded down porcelain flesh, trailing over healed wounds where ridged scars remained. Although the bullet holes were closed the nightmare remained. A shiver streaked throughout her body like a flash of lightning. 'Freezing' she thought to herself before hands shuttered twisting the knobs to shut off the water's chill. Had she even conditioned her hair? Who the hell cared? Fresh air would be lovely right about now along with some of the Reese's famous stuffed french toast. 'Oh, that's right. They lost their parents not long ago. How sad...' Hadley knew the feeling all too well and wanted to comfort each one of them and tell them it would be okay...though it truly wouldn't. 'Life is a mutha fawkin' bitch.' She nodded to herself in agreement while drying off with a monogrammed towel. Her day would continue with narration by none other than, herself. With no one else to talk to since moving here not long ago, who else to keep her company? Talking to yourself didn't make you crazy, did it? Hadley suddenly stared into the mirror with a doe in headlights glance but soon shook her head. “Still sane.” She spoke aloud and smiled sweetly.
7:28 am
After readying herself, grabbing a studded black leather purse, and locking the door it was time to leave this hellhole. In a moments time Hadley noticed a peculiar sight on the steps leading to and from the apartment's entrance. Examining this blond haired angel snoozing away with a book in tow, something else however caught the criminology student’s attention. What enormous--assets covered by a rather charming dress. A double take was in order but just a quick one. Hadley was not into women but could appreciate a fine pair of bosoms when credit was due. Shoulder's lifted shrugging lightly as she began to feel under-dressed and certainly under developed. Life was quite unfair, wasn't it? Compared to this woman Hadley looked like a hobgoblin. Wearing worn denim jeans and a baggy zip up hoodie; the only flashy thing found on the pharmacist tech was pale pink tresses swept up into a messy ponytail. Tousled bangs hung above intense sky blue eyes, which kept darting to the sleeping newcomer and across the street. How many others saw this poor girl sleeping here and yet avoided waking her? This would not do. Shady people resided here and who knows if one would have stolen a squeeze. “Um, sleeping beauty?” A hand gingerly shook blondie's small shoulder trying not to startle her. If someone dare try this with Hadley a gun would be pointed in their direction, on a bad day. [@sakurasan]
