Long ago, the four nations lived together in harmony. Then everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked. Only the Avatar, master of all four elements, could stop them, but when the world needed him most, he vanished.

A hundred years later, two children of the South Water Tribe, Katara and Sokka, found the Avatar, an air bender named Aang. After defeating the Firelord Ozai, his son, Prince Zuko, claimed the throne. The world became peaceful, and the nations' rumble became to an end. Aang freed the Airbenders, that were kept in secret in a Fire Nation's facility.

Many years later, a new kind of benders were born: The Smoke Clan. They were a branch of Airbenders that followed Ozai's ideals, but worked in the shadows. When Zuko became Firelord, they spreaded all over the world. And when the world thought they were safe forever, they attacked. They were more cruel than the Fire Nation, and mercyless.

But the Smoke Clan had a secret weapon: their apparition in the world made the Spirits to included them in the Avatar Cycle. After Aang's decease, the new Avatar was born. A Smoke Clan's girl named Esira. She led her clan and conquered the four other nations.

Setting

The village of Zaishin, located in the forgotten lands of the former Earth Kingdom, gathers people from the four old nations. People of the Smoke Clans occupied the big cities, so outcasters try to keep a low profile and live in this small villages, or become nomads. This is where we start.

Rules

• NO Godmod, auto-hitting, or auto-killing. If it happens to appear, the funny guy will be expelled from the roleplay before I can say "Toph"
• This Rp is rated PG-13. This isn't a romantic roleplay, but try and keep it to a minimum. Sex is off the table.
• Duel: Most PC vs PC combats will be merely for practice, but if someone turns against us or something, remember: no-one is invincible.
• I am the GM, my word is decisive.
• Only two characters per person, no more.
• Have a blast!!!

Bending Rules

Putting this aside because it's so freaking important for the important (and for everybody's LOLz). As we know for seeing the show, you can't be a bending master just like that, you need training for that. So I decide we all start our journey as an apprentice or advanced apprentice. But nothing further. Don't like it? I ran out of fucks to give. Sorry.

Also, I encourage you to use "homebrew bendings", this is, branches of the four basic elements (Blood, steel, smoke, sand, etc, etc, etc.) If you have one of these in mind, go for it, just don't make it too overpowered. Give us a chance to strike back.

Also, I want to tell that I have chosen my Co-GMs (there are two). Congratulations to ultramoron and Shoryu!!!

Age: 18

Gender: Female

Personality: She is bossy and selfish. She doesn't care about either human or animal's lives. Esira treats people as simple pawns in her chess game, everyone can be sacrificed but her.

Bending type: Smoke

Bending level: Avatar

Techniques (tell us what you can do): Since she's the Avatar, She has control of the five elements (Smoke included).

Background: Esira was born in poverty, in a small settlement of the Smoke Clan. She was grown to hate the other nations, and when her people discover she was the Avatar, they couldn't hide their excitement. Her father was gone before she was born and her mother died giving birth, so she had no attachment to anyone, not even now. After she was taught into all the basic elements, she attacked. Before every battle, she was tortured so she can be in Avatar State. She doesn't control it, because she was never told how to. She is the Supreme Governor of the world, and gives orders to everyone from her palace in old Ba Sing Se, now called Tazhei.

Personality: Hotheaded, impulsive, even a little reckless. He is usually cracking jokes, but he do prefer to rely on himself and his own skills in combat. He sees everyone as lesser beings till they have proven otherwise, but he wouldn't be hostile because of his narcissism.
Bending type: Sand
Bending level: Advanced apprentice
Techniques: He prefers to fight using his blade in combination of the sand. He prefers to generate sandstorms and fight very offensively, but he might just as well send a wave of sand at the opponent to bury them.
Background: Born to a tribe of sand Nomads whom had fled from the southern Air Temple at the start of the invasion by the fire nation. He is the 5th generation of Sand Nomads from his tribe, and with each generation new skills are unlocked.

He practiced swordplay and sand bending since childhood, and growing into a fine warrior of the sands, one the best in his tribe actually. When the smoke clan took over, the sand Nomads did not hide, but decided to be part of a rebellion, using their superior skills in desert combat to hold their own ground against the Smoke Clan.

But, since they are Nomads, they can't stay at the same place for too long.

Weaknesses: Water takes down his bending with ease, turning his sand techniques into goo. His bending is not as good as his abilty with a sword, something that can come and bite him.
Strengths: The Sand is superior to Fire, and equal on terms with Earth and Air, making sand a very powerful bending style. He's a great swordsman.

Just wondering, were the Air Temples ever rebuilt, I only ask because I plan on making an Airbender who was originally from the Southern Air Temple.

Then I guess I'll just say he was raised by his parents in the village who kept his bending a secret? I dunno.....hell, might make an earth or fire bender now....

And maybe why I don't surprise you is because the Southern Temple is where all the males are from? At least, besides the Northern one.

You have surprised me though, I did not know that Air nomads separate the males from the females.
