Westport City.
Sitting on the West coast of the USA is a city of reasonable size. A city of adventure. A city of action. A city filled with super-villains and super-heroes. It has become a regular occurrence within the city for super-villains to attack and heroes to defend. Super-villains rob banks, hold the city to ransom with weapons, kidnap people or release monsters. Super-heroes come to save the day. Sometimes the heroes win other times the villains win.
This is going to be a lot less physics based than my other RP, WFP. Instead we're going to take a casual and loose approach to powers. There are a great variety of both heroes and villains from magic to science, from aliens to robots, from talking gorillas to guys in tights. You can play either a Supervillain or a Superhero. Team-ups are encouraged. Don't play your own enemy.
Clearkeep
High above the city in geosynchronous orbit is a space station. Built long ago, by a heroic mad scientist, this place serves as a hang-out for super-heroes. There are teleportation pads all around the city for the heroes to use to get to the station or to swoop down to the city. It has large windows overlooking the city as well as several computer terminals for information.
The Labyrinth
Deep below the city is a labyrinth of tunnels, stockpiles and shelters. Built long ago, by an evil genius, this place is used by the villains of the city. There are secret entrances all over the city for the villains to use to get to the labyrinth or to make dramatic entrances. It is massive and spans the entire city so it's easy to get lost.
Islands
To the West a few miles off the coast of the city are a chain of islands. The biggest island in the center has a semi-active volcano. Most of the islands are covered in sand and trees. Various wild animals live here.
Forest
To the north of the city is a dense forest full of all sorts of trees and critters. Part of the forest has been leveled for building materials and paper.
Mountains/Desert
To the south of the city is a mountain range and on the other side is an expanse of desert. This area is home to a wide variety of wild monsters.
RULES
1) Do not post on this thread except to make in character or descriptive world posts (Such as announcements on a television.) Go to the OOC thread to get your character sheet approved before you begin playing.
2) Don't god-mod. Generally speaking the more Abilities you have the weaker each Ability is. If a Gm tells you it's not okay then it's not okay.
3) You can declare an attack but you can't decide whether or not it succeeds. Only the GMs or the person being attacked can decide whether attacks succeed. Don't make yourself invincible. This is a game, take some damage, have some fun.
4) When your character is interacting with someone else's character please indicate who and what you are replying to. You don't have to quote their entire post just make it clear. The current date is normally the same as the current date in real life, however, since RP actions take many real life days the match is never exact.

Alignment: Neutral

Equipment: Equipment tends to vary with current taste and whims depending on the situation.
History: It is unknown what The World Forger was up to before he created this universe. He himself has hinted at various other previous universes. For the most part He tends to let events play out as they would naturally, insomuch as the word natural can apply to a universe like this. He has, however, made adjustments to the world from time to time. This can be something as minor as simply being a passerby who says something offhandedly to something as extreme as retconning something from existence itself.
Appearance: Appearance tends to vary with current taste and whims depending on the situation.
Other: Despite his absolute control over all of reality and unreality he seems to be a rather friendly fellow. He jokes around about as often as he is serious. He has often been heard to say that the world should be 'interesting' or 'entertaining'. He tends to avoid being worshiped as much as he can, leaving that to the gods, instead.
Name: Evil Mastermind Doctor Malevolence
Alignment: Villain
Abilities: Doctor Malevolence is an Evil Omnidisciplainary Mad Doctor. He makes all sorts of things from Sharktopuses to Death Rays. He is also constantly upgrading people, including his own body. His most noticeable 'improvement' is his extra set of arms.
Equipment: Doctor Malevolence always wears body armor with a high collar. The collar is not just for evil fashion, it also protects him from getting shot in the back of his precious head. The armour is also equipped with a forcefield and a teleportation system for quick escapes and dramatic entrances. In addition to his armour he also has various inventions including creatures he's made. He has goo monsters for minions which he calls forgelings.
History: Doctor Malevolence has been terrorizing Westport City for years. He is constantly sending out his latest creations or kidnapping people and animals to experiment on them in one of his secret lairs. His forgelings are known around the city but they can disguise themselves so they're not always easy to spot.
Other: If any of you want to be a creation of his or an escaped experiment of his or something that's cool with me.
Appearance: :
http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/f...alevolence.png
Name: The Figure
Alignment: Villain
Abilities: Super Strength, Nigh Invulnerability, Regeneration, Macrokinesis.
Equipment: Usually none. Sometimes heavy objects to throw.
History: The Figure was created by Evil Mastermind Doctor Malevolence. It was designed to be a paragon of strength with a design focused on raw power rather than a particular skill or ability. It was made to be the Evil Doctor's bodyguard and go-to heavy lifter.
Appearance: It has no face, no clothing and no noticeable gender traits. It is roughly humanoid in shape with wide shoulders and wide hips, a head, fingers, toes and such. It is covered with a grey rubbery flesh, much like a dolphin's skin. Where its face would be is simply a smooth expanse with two slight indentations where the eyes would be and a slight bump where the nose would be. It has no genitals nor even a crack in its rear.
Name: Sapphire
Alignment: Hero
Abilities: Sapphire can turn into a transparent blue crystalline form. While in crystalline form she has super strength and can extend parts of her body to form cutting edges or to protect people.
Equipment: Sapphire doesn't normally keep any special equipment because when she changes everything she's wearing becomes crystalline too.
History: Sapphire is in high-school and strives to save the world in time to do her homework. She's not famous yet but she's saved a few lives. She has an evil sister named Ruby.
Appearance:
http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/f...s/Sapphire.png
Name: Ruby, Blood Ruby
Alignment: Villain
Abilities: Ruby can turn into a transparent red crystalline form. While in crystalline form she has super strength and can extend parts of her body to form cutting edges or spikes of villainy. She has also learned to fire a red laser blast. (Something her sister cannot do yet.)
Equipment: Ruby doesn't normally keep any special equipment because when she changes everything she's wearing becomes crystalline too.
History: Ruby is a well known super-villain in Westport city. She has earned the name Blood Ruby on account of all the blood she's spilled. She has a good sister named Sapphire.
Appearance:

Megafire
Name: Rhythm
Alignment: Hero
Abilities: Firstly, he has martial arts training, and quite a bit of it. Combined with his enhanced speed, agility and reflexes, this would already make him a powerful opponent. However, jis main power is the manipulation of air-vibrations. This ability manifests itself as making his punches and kicks hit harder, creating explosions of air, and generally assaulting his opponent's eardrums with a lot of noise.
Unfortunately for him, he desperately needs his music to focus and control these abilities.
Equipment: His MP-3 player and his headphones, the latter of which block out any other sounds from reaching his ears (he 'hears' by feeling air vibrations with his power). He also wears a set of shades that provide him with information on his surroundings that aren't harmful to him (see 'other' section).
History: When Rhythm was born, the doctors were very worried, since the little bady froze in shock almost immediately, which lasted for a few seconds before he began thrashing around like he was possessed, crying so loud he managed to deafen two of the doctors. After some extensive research, it turned out that Amadeus was extremely hypersensitive. His abilities were also brought to light then.
After that, his parents tried all sorts of things to give him a chance at a normal, social life. They were more technologically-minded, which were they also sought refuge. This had the unfortunate side-effect of leaving him isolated and rather frustrated because of it.
In trying to find ways to deal with this, he found a martial arts teacher who didn't need to talk very much to be understood, much to Amadeus' delight, and music.
Since then, he's been fighting crime in Westport City as Rhythm.
Appearance: Rhythm is tall and slender, with very light-blonde hair and grey eyes, although these are almost always hidden behind his shades. He prefers dressing in white from head to toe, which, combined with his white headphones and pale skin, would make him look like a ghost, were it not for his solid black shades.
Other: Rhythm's very oversensitive to almost anything. His MP3-player's volume is always turned down really low, to protect him. Dealing with smell and taste at their full force he can just about handle, and he has learned to fight without collapsing in pain with every punch he delivers.
Trying something new for this guy, let me know if you think it works or not.
Name: Unseen/Shadow/Ghost/whatever he can come up with, prefers Unseen for the really big thefts
Alignment: Unseen would like to choose neither.
Abilities: Unseen's a master thief, as such, he is great at picking locks and being very quiet. He's rather agile and fast, preferring to use his skill in battle, rather than any sort of brute force. He's also a very quick-thinker, as is pretty much a requirement in this job. He has absolutely no superpowers, magical, or any other supernatural abilities, although he's stolen a vast amount of magical items, most of which he sold afterwards.
Equipment: He generally keeps a lockpick on him for on-the-go thefts, but when planning a major heist he comes well prepared with an array of equipment useful for the job.
He does keep weapons on him, but he really doesn't like to use them, sticking to a single knife somewhere on his body and his belt.
History: He's known under his various aliases for comitting various thefts, having develloped a different persona and style for every one of them (including entirely different handwriting for the notes he leaves). This has led to none of his thefts being connected to one another and even less to the actual person living in Westport City. Neither the villains nor the heroes seem to know who he is, although neither of them is willing to believe it.
He's managed to piss off most people by getting into and out of nearly every place without being seen.
Appearance: He's in his early thirties, looking mostly his age. He has dark-blonde hair and olive-green eyes, but doesn't have anything about him that really stands out.
In civilian life he wears rather well-made clothes, both for looking slightly more wealthy than the average citizen and for moving around easily despite this.
At night, however, he wears darker clothes, combined with a mask in the same colour (any sane thief knows black will get him spotted immediately)
Greycat
Name: Dr G (simple, easy to remember, can't stumble over it, and it doesn't take long to yell. And the hard G makes a nice villain impact, particularly when written.)
Alignment: Villain
Abilities: His powers come from science. He is able to manipulate the kinetic state at the sub-elementary level, allow him to fire various beams, from heat beams to freeze rays, to concussive blasts to temporary suspended animation beams (think syndromes laser thing). He naturally produces a hyper agitated particle field a few nanometers from his skin, giving him partial invulnerability and enhanced strength.
Side effects include partial invulnerability while active, increased strength and healing, increased vitality, slowed aging, periods of psychosis
Equipment: The MAKiM device was the original source of his power. He still has it back in his lab. He developed a power source he calls zero point modules, small power cells that draw power from the universe itself. He has various ray guns about his place of abode, mostly simpler versions of the MAKiM's technology. He has flying bike, a hover board, jet boots, jet packs, and also an eight-seater aerospace jet that works (on paper at least. He hasn't gotten around to testing it yet.) He is working on gauntlets and a powered suit that will amplify his power, that is mostly a side project. His goggles are high tech, filled with sensors and stuff like that. He frequently adds things to it. He carries various tools around with him as well, and has a genius phone (not just a smart phone) he calls either the MYphone of the IAMphone. It constantly checks the finger prints and biometric signature of the user so no one can hack it.
He has a chrono-accelerator, which accelerates particles through time, but he doesn't have a practical use for it.
History: Dr G, Jason Boyo, was (and still is) a brilliant scientist, though his focus is in the fields of mechanics, physics, astronomy and computers (with a bit of chemistry and geology), what he calls real sciences, not that which doctoring of medicine. He was employed to develop technologies to use in colonization of space and the terraforming of planets. He did make some impressive progress in those fields, but he kept the best for himself. He feels the world is heading down a path to destruction, and needs a new driver at the wheel. Namely, himself. The fact that he his been deemed borderline psychotic and visits a psychiatrist every week are not important. He admits he is a criminal, but claims its in a good way. He steals parts, supplies, funds and other necessities for his research, makes tactical strikes against the government to either make them fall or shape up, and if a few people have to die (he tries not to kill too blatantly, he considers it messy and uninspired) or the collateral damages gets high, the the morgue and construction industries get revenue, so good for them.
He's 29 years old, and is a certifiable genius. He is also a bit touched in the head.
http://www.thinkhero.com/wp-content/.../DrH_white.jpg
Other: He has a couple Ph'Ds, he's not the most tidy of people, and he reads the evil overlord list. He tends to be absent minded as well. He has a few military contracts. He wants to start an evil cooperation, and is looking into taking over one of the islands to made a private facility for himself and his henchmen and lackeys. Despite his random seeming attitude and often nebulous sounding schemes, his plans are surprisingly thought out and intricate, often having layers of subterfuge and misdirection hiding his true goal from his rivals and enemies. Still, he's a ham and certified Mad Scientist.
Name: Black Cat
Alignment: Hero
Abilities: His powers involve manipulating fate and fortune. Normally a random seeming fluke that alters things in his favor, generally seeming coincidental and minor from the victims perspective, but the flukes tend to get more exuberant the greater the favor it is tilting. It can range from a gun jamming to a gust of air throwing off someone's aim to a structure giving way because of a crack. It often works without his need to activate it, and keeps him safe for serious harm and gives him decent luck in his actions.
He can weaponize it into blasts of energy, mainly a weak concussive force if they hit a person, but they can cause stone to collapse or vehicles to fall apart and other such effects. It is mystic in nature, as it plays with the state of fortune and with people's fate, allowing him to give either good or bad luck. It comes with feline-like agility, night vision, heightened senses and might even have nine lives. It didn't exactly come with a manual, and there some things he is unwilling to test.
Equipment: He has a collapsible staff and a small grapple gun. He also has a collection of marbles and rubber balls, pins and caltrops. With his luck, they are often all he needs to stop a tank.
History: Gavin Lennard was a normal lad, going to school, working in a museum by day, hanging around at home watching anime and reading manga by night, wondering why did history in college. He fate took a chance for the better when he was cataloging pieces late one night. He stumbled across the Cat of Pandua' a statuette of a cat made from black jade. He made the mistake of reading the half worn inscriptions on it, and was curse, or blessed, depending on your interpretation, to be the Black Cat; an agent of the Fates themselves, affiliated with Fortune.
http://fc01.deviantart.net/fs46/f/20...by_Miragey.jpg
He wears a classic domino mask when on the job (Clark Kenting isn't good enough for him)
His hero outfit is a simple suit, often with a fedora or top hat, though not always. He switches it with his civillian get up with magic.
Other: He is an avid gambler, and chance almost always rolls in his favor. He is 26, and was cursed, or blessed, a year and a half before. He has ripped his catch phrase straight from the Black Cat manga.
Personality wise, he is easy going, laid back and takes any and everything in stride. He rarely lets things ruffle his feathers and always as a cool relaxed smile. Most of his carefree demeanor comes from his power, since he hasn't had a bad day since it developed. He is fearless and dismissive of others concerns about him, always having an almost conceited self confidence in his own talents. He is willing to accept his mistakes, but moves on immediately and will refuse to address it again. Not surprisingly, he has a stubborn streak, and has an 'eh, I don't wanna,' zone, where he refuses to yield a point to anything. Thanks to his power, he tends to be in the right place for things.
Metronome
Name: Blue Angel (Jade Searoby)
Alignment: Hero
Abilities: Blue Angel can create and somewhat manipulate a form of energy that comes from inside of her. It's uncertain how this energy exists, as she hasn't volunteered to be dissected. This energy glows bright blue, and so far, she has mastered it in two forms: Angel wings and a sword. She can manipulate this energy by making it solid as real matter, or unsolid like gas. This comes in handy with her 'no kill' policy. Instead of killing her enemy, she can swipe her sword through their body, allowing it phase through. The energy weakens other lifeforms. This also goes for her wings, which are a bit more difficult to use in such manner, but not impossible. And, of course, she can fly. Her control over her energy requires daily meditation. If she doesn't get her quiet time, things can get messy.
Equipment: She carries a sword hilt in her belt, which she uses to base her energy sword from.
History: Blue Angel wasn't always so good. In another time, not so long ago, she was using her powers for illegal stuff. This was because Jade was kicked out of the house by her pothead parents when she was 17. She was dirt broke and looking for a way to live when she began to develop her energy abilities. Her first action was to use her powers to go and rob a bank. She would get rich fast, after all.
Luckily for her, she got her ass kicked by some super heroes. Seeing as she was still just a kid, with no criminal record or intent to really hurt anyone, they let her off easy. If she would agree to let them train her, they would pull strings to have all charges dropped. That worked out pretty good.
A few years down the road, she moved to Westport with hopes of getting her own hero team together.
Appearance: Jade is about 5'5" with a slightly olive complexion, blue eyes, and long, black hair. She is female and about 23 years old. Her costume colors are blue and white, and her insignia is a bird with it's wings spread.
http://i562.photobucket.com/albums/s.../blueangel.png
http://i562.photobucket.com/albums/s...apislazuli.jpg
Name: Mol'lee br'on (Molly Brown)
Alignment: Hero, once recruited.
Abilities:
Mental abilities. Able to read minds at will, sense invisible beings, communicate through minds, telepathy, and able to see through illusions (to an extent).
Shapeshifting her body. As in: able to grow extra limbs, take on human forms, able to revert back to her original Martian form. Strictly humanoid.
Able to phase through solid objects.
And flight.
Equipment: None
History:
Molly lived happily on Mars for most of her lifetime. Her people live under the planet's crust, which is why human astrologists have yet to discover them. However, their planet was attacked by small, mind altering alien parasites. These evil little vermin has all but taken over her species, turning them into mindless animals. They have destroyed their own civilization under the control of creatures who seem to want nothing more than destruction.
Desperate to escape, Molly fled used a small spacecraft that was hidden away in her uncle's basement. Her uncle just happened to be an engineer for their military, lucky for her. She left the planet, thinking she had escaped. The nearest planet to land on was Earth, and with a dwindling fuel supply, Molly didn't have much choice but to head there.
But right as she began to enter the atmosphere, one of the little headsuckers crawled up behind her seat and latched on to her head, making her lose control of the ship.
Appearance:
Her true form isn't very pretty to the human eyes. She's about 6'1", light blue, smooth skinned, and looks like a mix between a humanoid and a lizard. She had a long, narrow head, a long slender tail that is prehensile, bright green eyes with no pupils, no visible ears, no hair, clawed hands and feet, and sharp, pointed teeth. She is female and about 102 Earth years old.
http://i562.photobucket.com/albums/s.../bluealien.png
However, given that she can change her appearance at will, Molly is smart enough to take on a more human friendly form. In this form, she has the same light blue, smooth skin, but human body about 5'5", save for the tail that helps her balance on human feet. She has green-blue hair and green eyes.
http://www.deviantart.com/download/1...or-d36l074.jpg
Her costume is navy blue and white, with a cape. The material isn't actually material, but her own skin molded to make human clothing. Since Martians don't have any visible sex organs in their natural form, they don't tend to wear normal clothes.
http://i562.photobucket.com/albums/s...iencostume.png
Other: Her main weakness is fire and extreme heat.
Name: Kye (No last name, no secret identity)
Alignment: Villain
Abilities: Animal shapeshifting. Simple enough, right? We've all seen it enough times?
Equipment: When she shifts, her clothes don't shift with her. Lucky for Kye, she has the modesty of an animal, too. She also hated needles.
History: Kye was a normal human when she was born. She remained so until around the age of two, when she wondered away from her house while under the watch of a careless babysitter. Kye wasn't out long before she was snatched up by Dr. Malevolence.
The doctor used her as an experiment. He tampered with her DNA, messed with her structure, and poked at her biological make-up. The end result was a shape shifting meta-human. Kye doesn't remember the pain inflicted on her in the name of science, as she was very young. But she has always harbored a strong fear of needles.
Once she was complete, she began to look at the doctor as a parental figure, having forgotten her own. She has remained happily under his care since.
Appearance: Kye is 5'8", lean muscled, fair skinned, and quite intimidating even in human form. She is female and in her early 20s. She has a crazy hairdue made out of her silky black hair, spike on top and long on the bottom. Kye has brown eyes and distinct Asian features. Her most noticable feature, perhaps, are her tiger stripes. As for a costume, she doesn't wear one. Hell, she hardly wears anything. Kye is happy to run around half naked, mostly because whatever she's wearing is going to get lost as soon as she shifts.
http://i562.photobucket.com/albums/s...esta/kye-1.png
http://i562.photobucket.com/albums/s...db6235fef9.jpg
Other: Kye, although human most of the time, tends to act uncivilized. She couldn't care less of what anyone other than her own creator thinks of her. She's moody, not too friendly, and distrusts most humans. However, she is die hard loyal to Doctor Malevolence, her 'father'. She also hates needles.
ArcDavid
Name: Smoulder (Andrew Beaches)
Alignment: Villain
Abilities: Extremely reactive biology that ignites into fire upon contact with the air. Smoulder can spit super-hot fire as well as any wounds set upon him ignite into spectacular flames. His skin has fused into a grey super-strong substance that is difficult to pierce. Super-strength due to his alterations.
Equipment: None really, except for his fire-resistant pants and cloak. Though the cloak is removed in combat. He actually has a difficulty using items at all for danger of burning or melting them.
History: Andrew was once an average 22 year old college student, with a normal life. One day he volunteered to help with a seemingly innocent chemistry experiement. As it turned out, it was actually a secret plan of a Dr M to kidnap subjects and bring them to a secret facility to experiement upon them. The ultimate goal was to produce a creation made out of living fire however (as usual) the experiment went horribly wrong.
All the subjects died in the experiement except for Andrew, who was left with a body that would burst into flame upon contact with the air. The heat of his flame was greater then expeceted, and in a tortured frenzy, Andrew tore through the facility and escaped into the forest, setting a blaze that threatened the lives of many in the city. The firefighters and heroes of the city rallied and fought the flames; when the fire settled, a charred blackened body rose from the destruction.
His skin was left so charred from the fire, that it no longer ingited at random, however the guilt remained. Horrified by the destruction he had caused, Andrew quickly ran and hid in the city and was lost by the authorities. That was many years ago though. It is said that in the dark of the night, in shadowy recessess of the Labyrinth, one can sometimes still see a cloaked figure with glowing eyes that sizzles with every footstep.
Appearance: Smoulder has charred grey skin, however there are cracks that appear to glow like embers. His eyes glow a firey red that seem to burn with his emotion, most often with his pain though. He often wears a dark cloak to hid his burnt features. He has no hair at all and often just wears pants under the cloak for lack of good fire-resistant shirts.
Jabez
Name: Warlock (Lucien Draegovic)
Alignment: Hero
Abilities: Extremely powerful but not subtle innate magic. (flying around, shooting blasts of energy, creating shields to defend himself)
Equipment: A long black leather coat, and a gnarled blackthorn staff.
History: Lucien was born with magic and unfortunately was discovered by an evil sorcerer. That dark magician began to indoctrinate and train the boy as his apprentice. Despite this upbringing there was something wild and untamed in Lucien's soul. He broke free of his master and turned his magics against evil. Still there is much darkness in the boy, he is at best a tentative ally of Westport's heroes.
Appearance: Lucien is albino, but oddly his eyes are not the reddish pink of most albinos instead they are an unnatural violet. He is otherwise a very striking young man in his early 20s. He dyes his naturally white hair constantly but always leaves a white streak running back from his left temple. Picture is not exact but gives you the idea.
http://i44.tinypic.com/zx5f06.jpg
Other: He has an extreme amount of contacts in the supernatural world and is talented at getting arcane and occult information.
UnendingEmpire
Name: Brennt
Alignment: Villain
Abilities: Various cybernetic enhancements, plus genetically altered strength and resilience.
Equipment: Everything he needs is on or within his body.
History: Brennt is known for causing chaos, outright. He's also known to not do it himself. Instead he's known to have his go-to girl, Kara Hasst, cause the chaos for him. Both are a threat alone, but together, it's a whole different ballgame.
Appearance: http://roleplayerguild.com/album.php...ictureid=36033
Other:
Name: Kara Hasst (no villain name)
Alignment: Villain
Abilities: Thanks to genetic alteration, Kara has enhanced strength, speed, senses, reflexes, and does not age. Her sight (even with only one eye) and smell are amazing far beyond human expectations, and she can smell water boiling from a mile away. Sadly, Kara is blind in her right eye.
Equipment: Carries a knife; most of her other weapons are in Brennt's lair.
History: Kara is known for killing, robbing, destruction, and causing all sorts of chaos. She also has a reputation for blind obedience to Brennt, and sees him as not only her superior and Führer, but also as a father figure in her own demented way.
Appearance: http://roleplayerguild.com/picture.p...ictureid=36015
Other:
Name: Izanagi
Alignment: Hero
Abilities: For starters, Takeshi can run faster and jump higher than any human can hope to; more than a fair few comic book heroes, even. However, his defining power isn't that, nor is it his rock-hard skin, but his ability to distort the fabric of space. He's trained this power to the point that he can teleport himself or an object to a distance of approximately 10 feet.
Equipment: Katana; he needs no other weapons. It's rare that Izanagi actually kills villains, but of course, accidents do happen.
History: Izanagi has a reputation for being a hero, and a man of honor and modesty. If crime is nearby, anybody can bet Izanagi will save the day.
Appearance: http://i1178.photobucket.com/albums/...e9399dea21.png
Other: Seems to be of Japanese origin.
Gothpuppy
Name: Dark Mist
Alignment: Hero
Abilities: HyperKinetic: Ability to speed up his body and mind to perfect synchronization.
Marine Specialist Training: He has been trained to the peak of human ability.
Hacking: Has the hacking ability of Anonymous.
Parkour: By combining his use of Hyperkinesis with Marine Training to create a masterful combination.
Equipment: Owns a motorcycle, a small speed boat and a 96 Rally Sport Camaro. Two Sig handguns one of which was created from Ceramics and Bamboo, some tinkered objects that he created himself.
History: He is known for simply appearing out of nothing then being gone before any authorities show up he simply left a card for anyone around to find it always had a symbol inscribed on it and sometimes a sd card that had information about the guys for them to use in a prosecution. The police know that he exists only because he allows himself to be caught on camera. He has no specific enemies or allies he helps the innocent.
Appearance: 18
http://i602.photobucket.com/albums/t...Apparition.jpg
Shin Majin
Name: Evaine Garna (Goes by "Khymera," but her real name isn't a secret.)
Alignment: Hero
Abilities: Evaine possesses enough strength to lift over half a ton over her head without the assistance of adrenaline. Her reflexes are greater than the average human, she can run, jump, and climb much better, and she has canine auditory and olfactory senses. She can regenerate from nearly any injury, including the loss of limbs, though this takes days to do. Combined with her powerful claws and fangs, these make her a terrifying combatant. Lastly, she is capable of assimilating genetic data from other creatures and copying their traits, though she cannot control this ability, and it requires blood contact with one of the creature's body fluids.
Equipment: Custom-made clothes.
History: Evaine Garna was born in an illegal genetics research facility as subject EV-41. She was the decedent of a long line of experiments in creating a being that could consciously and voluntarily modify their own genetic code, and alter their body to reflect said changes. The results of her modifications were never discovered by her creators, however, as before her first birthday, the facility was discovered, and raided by the SWAT division of the local law enforcement and local heroes. The researchers were arrested, and any subjects who capable of living normal lives were sent to orphanages or homeless shelters. One of the officers, Lawrence Garna, took pity on EV-41, and took her in as his own child. This went over well with his wife, who was barren, and already looking to adopt. As she grew up, Evaine developed a love for physical activity, and was on her way to becoming a professional boxer.
Her fighting abilities and excellent physical health made her an ideal candidate for Dr. Malevolence's wicked experiments, and he abducted her and transformed her into the monstrosity she is today, unlocking her dormant power in the process. Before he could brainwash her, however, she was rescued again when a team of heroes stormed the evil doctor's base. Since then, she has joined up with the heroes of Westport, seeking to take down Malevolence with the very power he gave her.
Appearance: Evaine shows little sign of her former humanity, now standing nearly eight feet tall when upright. Her entire body is coated in a thick red fur, and her face has been twisted into a vaguely canine snout, filled with huge fangs. She still sports her mane of read hair trailing down to her back. Her legs are bent into a digitigrade position, which makes it difficult for her to run without getting onto all fours. Her hands are massive claws, with two fingers and a thumb, restricting her manual dexterity. She has a long, and fairly broad tail tipped with what appears to be an axe blade made of bone
Other: She really, really hates Dr. Malevolence. Also, despite her savage appearance, she makes it a point to keep hold of her humanity. She tries not to do anything a normal human wouldn't, and is known for taking in villains alive, rather than killing them
Name: Gly'al
Alignment: Villain
Abilities: Gly'al is a mental prodigy, having a great intellect and knack for invention. In particular, he specializes in alchemy and clockwork mechanics. While he appears frail and clumsy, these could not be further from the truth. Gly'al is extremely coordinated, especially with his hands, and is quite strong and durable to boot. He possesses a wide array of vicious natural weapons, including his serrated beak, massive talons, and the most powerful, the viciously barbed and incredibly strong tongue in the mouth on his chest. He cannot be killed by injuring his head, as his true brain lies in his chest cavity, behind his heart. He also possesses an innate teleportation ability, and uses it readily, making him incredibly difficult to kill. He can take the form of an old, hunch-backed man with a long hooked nose. He does this to move about in public.
Equipment: Gly'al has a massive variety of magical potions and poisons, most of which cause horrific pain and mutation in the imbiber. He also has a wide array of torture devices, weapons, and armor. His favored weapon is a custom-made pitchfork, which can transform into a scythe.
History: Originally, Gly'al was a manner of angel, who came to envy the moral freedom of demons, and cast himself into hell to become one himself. In the centuries to follow, he developed a love of suffering, constantly inventing new ways of causing harm. Recently, he came to note an exceptional amount of suffering in Westport city, caused by a man known as Dr. Malevolence. Eager to see him continue his work, Gly'al left Hell, coming to the mortal world to better further the evil doctor's work, assisting him whenever possible.
Appearance: Gly'al is a fairly repulsive creature, resembling a bald, ashen-skinned humanoid with the head of a vulture. His beak is twisted into a perpetual sneer. While he is tall, standing just under nine feet tall, his hunch-backed posture typically cuts him down nearly two feet. He is grotesquely lanky, with long, thin limbs ending in oversized talons. From his back sprout four gaunt, bat-like wings. He possesses a second face on his chest, consisting of a narrow beak and single red eye, though both are typically closed, appearing to be nothing more than a strange spike-like protrusion.
Zacharius
Name: Valkyrie.
Alignment: Hero.
Abilities:
Strength: The power of divine magic infuses her, allowing her to wield her ridiculously sized axe, which made from the incredibly dense metal of Thorian (yes, made up) weighs more than a bus. The limits of her strength would allow her to pick up a large passenger jet, or break apart a large building.
Endurance: As a side effect of her magic and her chosen 'status', she is almost impervious to traditional damage such as falling, being shot and or physical attack. Sustained intense damage will still hurt her, such as a high powered lazer being left on her or nuclear weaponry.
Light of the Gods: Her magic in the most raw form, it can be used as seperate magical blasts and, after performing certain rituals a great deal of varied effects, such as opening portals or changing the tide/weather, however she more often uses it to support her other abilities, her axe glowing with the light of magic.
Super Jump: Simply an ability gained through her strength, she can leap around a quarter of a mile (half a mile at a push) in one pound, or up a sky scraper.
Equipment: Her axe and armor are made of the same nearly impossibly dense metal, her armor simply providing another layer of protection as well as aiding in some rituals. The axe...is an axe.
History: During the age of vikings and longboats, the high time of the Nordic gods, several women were selected as Battle-Maidens to defend the most holy places of the pantheon, swearing to uphold the code of their god and to protect the sacrilegious behavior of non-believers. Despite this, one battle-maiden strayed from her path, falling for a common fisherman from a nearby town. Eventually she bore the mortal man a child, the young girl, Tyra, whom exhibited the powers of her mother but to an even greater degree.
It was not long before the gods learn of this treachery, punishing the man with starvation, the Battle-Maiden with eternal solitude and freezing the young girl in a state of sleep and finally, at the age of 18, she was frozen forever in ice. In this however, the gods did not account for the modern marvel of global warming, eventually the young girl awakening in the modern era in the freezing northern waters, although her powers allowed her to reach land it was not a pleasant experienced. Since then she has struggled to both aid humanity, whom without she would never have been free, and adapt to a world she never got to experience. Her superhero name is actually none of her doing, as she is not a Valkyrie, however the public being what they are, noticed the Norse elements of her, including the occasional hint of an accent, and thus coined the term.

Dr K
Name: Bloodthirsty Bob
Alignment: Villain
Abilities: Magnetism; specifically, the power to attract and push most metallic substances, combined with an Elite Mook's average abilities, such as bull-like strength, amazing agility, experience in battle...
Equipment: Bloodthirsty Bob rarely wears anything little more than a balaclava and a large dark coat on him. He tends, however, to carry around the hundreds of coins he steals, which constantly jangle in his pockets, as well as a large knife (which, due to his bumbling nature, he almost never ends up using it in the way he'd like to use it)
History: Despite his intimidating name, Bloodthirsty Bob is as bloodthirsty as a butterfly and at least half as deadly.
Bob was once the Elite Mook of the retired legendary gentleman super-villain Black Dog, whose agility, technique, wits and guts made up for his lack of actual super-powers and led him to become one of the most feared and respected evil masters of Westport City. At least, that was until that fateful ski accident, which led to the one of the undisputed evil masterminds of Westport City to become little more than a tetraplegic drooling vegetable, which led to the downfall of Black Dog's group, the Dog Pack and his slow downfall into obscurity, with nobody but the loyal Bob for company, who served him well until his master's eventual death. As Black Dog lay in his small bed at a Best Eastern motel just outside the city, he made his trusty Minion swear that he would become as good a villain as his master (as well as giving him a stern warning regarding skiing). This was the beginning of the minion's (somehow unimpressive) career in super-villainy...
He now roams the streets, trying desperately to use his powers to spread panic and fear throughout the city with unimpressive crimes (such as stealing coins from fountains or blind hobos), while whenever he tries to pull off a bigger crime, it has the bad habit of tragically backfiring, due to his own bumbling, soft heart and rotten luck, into the complete opposite, causing more good than bad. His "criminal record" has made him the laughing stock of the Westport City's super-villains, to the point that even the Defenders of Justice barely take notice of him, and the police force generally believes that two nearby cops are usually enough to put a stop to the "mischief", although he's been recently attempting to improve his "villainy" (until now, with little to no success...)
Due to his rotten luck at being a villain, he often has barely any money on him (most of it being small quarters taken from the nearby fountains), and finds himself living on the streets most of the time...
Although his crimes generally target them, he's pretty beloved/made fun of by the city's hobo community, who never misses a chance for a good laugh listening about his misadventures. Both them and most people of the areas he targets tend to be very sympathetic to him, and don't mind having him as around as a "(Way too)Friendly Neighborhood Villain". All of these people often help him, mostly just for laughs.
Appearance:
http://us.123rf.com/400wm/400/400/ct...-balaclava.jpg
Other: -While, in a serious fight, Bloodthirsty Bob can be a rather tough opponent, thanks to his physical prowess and dangerous superpower, he often never gets around to one, by being simply such a rotten villain
-Although his actual name is Herman, he took the name Bob when he became a mook, and "Bloodthirsty" was added for laughs by the media later when he became a villain.
General Scales
Name: Friction.
Alignment: He switches off periodically but usually hero.
Abilities:
Frictional Control- This ability entails him being able to change the friction up two a maximum of two feet around his body allowing for more fluid movement and reactions. Under the influence of his ability he has no need for a vehicle by lessening the forces under his feet and infront of him allowing for a massive powerslide which he can maintain by using anything in his path to gain more speed, given this property he can launch himself quite a far distance if he can find a suitable ramp or something similar. If used properly it can prevent him getting effectively grabbed, getting hit is another story even if it won't be absolutely solid.
Hyper Vibration- Given the ability to mess with his friction, the man has developed another power to balance out a few problems he had early on. One, given the nature of friction, is a gradually lessening vibration which prevents a high speed stop from ripping the skin and muscle off his bones. Also it allows him to easily surpass the human limit of natural running speed by revving the frequency of vibration up, its almost like super speed only he doesn't have to worry about straining himself as much. Finally, it allows him to cause the air around him to heat up to a point that would be quite painful if someone actually managed to get a hold of him but its not anymore pleasant for him if prolonged nor is it much use in the water because of the slow heating rate.
Impulse Aura- This ability is a short term aura where Friction can stop most if not all of a major impact or huge frictional change by concentrating the aura in one area which distorts vision of the selected spot as the aura takes the hit. It works as a back up incase of accidents.
Equipment: Only a white cellphone he uses to keep in contact with other supers in the area.
History: Friction has actually lived in west port most of his life after moving there from somewhere he can't remember when he was three years old. His powers didn't start appearing until he was fifteen, but it never bothered him. He really never knew his parents as there were always working and he was hard pressed to try and follow anything they would try to talk about. With the nature of his power it makes him continue to want to test his limits to the frustration of nearly everyother super hero and villain in the city, its left him a little less responsible but given a bit of humor to his antics as well. Friction has proven himself to be quite the capable hero went he is into the action, saving numerous citizens, stopping robberies and etc. of the common crime fighting which bores him. He has been known to suddenly turn more villianous and aggressive in the blink of an eye which changes the pace for having to deal with the speed demon. Some scientists have tried to come up with a logical reason, the only being that his power sometimes has a more mental implication on him at certain points than others causing a personality change out of the blue.
Appearance: Friction stands at 5'8" in height. The super seems to have a fairly well toned body over all and is more on the lean side. He wears a black jumpsuit with green lines criss-crossing it that is almost completely skin tight with some looseness to let air flow. His mask is has the same colors only the green is more the backround with black dots scattered on it. The only detail someone could see on him that is natural is the darker colored lips on his mouth and emerald green eyes with a little brown hidden.
Other: Friction is rarely seen by the common citizen unless he is either stopping or commiting a crime, but seen even less by the higher renowned heros and villains making himself scarce when one happens upon him. He has yet to be caught not wearing his costume, he likes his new self and would rather throw out the past.

Name: Rosemary Anne Flynn [She has yet to settle on a Superhero name]
Alias: She has yet to settle on an alias, but has toyed with such names as; The Spider, Arachnid, Spinner, Anansi, Lady Web, Spider-Girl, Venom, and various variations.
Alignment: Hero
Age: 18 & 1/2
Abilities:
All of Rose’s powers stem from the supernatural. Her natural affinity for Magicka is enhanced by her connection to the Spider Cult, and its dark god. Rose’s spider based powers come from the fact that she acts as a totem for the Spider spirit, much like someone powered by the spirit of the tiger gains feline like abilities, though she has yet to realize the full extent of her powers, and can only theorize herself as to where her powers come from. All she knows is that it’s magic.
-Can cast basic spells e.g. Creating fire in her palm, or amateur locating spells, but most of her spells require reagents, or preparation, so she rarely relies on her spell casting abilities.
-Spider Physiology brought on by her connection to the Spider Cult, and the Spirit of the Spider. All abilities gained through this physiology are supernatural in origin, for example, when she shoots webbing, she really casting a spell that launches the magic webbing from her palm, instead of producing the silk internally. So far she has discovered/has access to the following abilities that stem from the spider physiology;
-Enhanced Agility
-Minor Enhanced Durability
-Enhanced Endurance
-Enhanced Jump
-Enhanced Marksmanship
-Enhanced Reflexes
-Enhanced Senses
-Enhanced Speed
-Enhanced Strength
-Danger Intuition
-Wall Crawling
-Web Creation
-Minor Spider Manipulation.
-Claw Retraction
-Hibernation
-Poison Generation
-Fear Inducement
**Crossed out abilities will be added later on in the role play as the Character develops.
Equipment: Rosemary usually keeps her backpack with her, as she tends to carry various items with her, ranging from extra clothing, school work, and bag lunches, to crime fighting gadgets, or costumes. She always tries to be prepared when she leaves her house, bringing snacks, water bottles, and various other items along with her when she's planning on staying out for a while. You never know when you're going to get hungry while stalking crime.
-Backpack, holds various items such as clothing, food, cellphone, homework, small medkit, etc. She owns a regular two strapped backpack, that is green, and box shaped, or she sometimes makes makeshift bags out of her webbing.
-Spider Goggles, a pair of goggles created by her closest friend, and companion Alexander Richards, a brilliant teenage boy that know's of Rosemary's powers and strives to help her in her battle against evil. The goggles resemble two pairs of spider eyes, the frontal eyes are the largest and are the main pair, and they can act as a Heads Up Display if she chooses, giving her feedback on the situation at hand. The second pair of eyes sit above the first pair and are smaller, but allow the goggles, and Alexander a better view of Rose's surroundings to allow for better and faster feedback. Alexander has a direct link to the goggles optic feed, and can communicate with Rose through the built in headset. Both pairs of eyes can light up in various colors, Rose's favourite's being Purple and Red, and have a clip at the top to attach the hood from a hoodie, for maximum identity protection. Alexander is always planning new features for the goggles, and his latest version, though still in testing stages, adds thermal vision to the goggles features.
History:
Rosemary's journey to become a Superhero began when she was sixteen. A few weeks after her Fourteenth birthday, her parents, whom were University Professors, and well regarded Archaeologists, left her in the care of her Grandmother while they participated in a six month excavation in South Africa. Distraught at being left alone while her parents got to see the world, Rosemary shut herself into her grandmother's house, rarely leaving save to attend school. Her grandmother grew worried about her, and tried to lift her spirits through books, as she was an avid reader. She revealed to her granddaughter that the attic of her quaint home housed an expansive library, full of books, novels, and historical texts handed down throughout her family's history. If Rose couldn't explore the world with her parents, perhaps she could find her own adventure between the covers of some fantastic novel.
Rose was hesitant at first, but as she poured over the various hard covers and dusty old books her interest began to pique. One section of the library was devoted to the Supernatural. There were dozens of books on mythical creatures, and long lost worlds. Eventually she discovered some spell books, and though at the time she did not believe in magic, she decided to try to cast some spells, just for fun. It was then that she discovered her affinity for magic. She tried a spell designed to cast light, and much to her surprise, it worked!
After that she began to practice Magic almost everyday, in the safety of her Grandmothers attic. It soon became her main hobby, and she started to research magic more online, and visit wiccan stores for supplies, all while her Grandmother believed she simply read books in the attic. Her plan was to hone her abilities until she felt she was ready to take it to the streets, and act as a Superhero, like the various other crusaders that watched over the city. It would finally be an adventure all her own.
Eventually her parents returned from their excavation and after thanking her Grandmother for the best six months of her life, returned home. At home she continued to practice her spellcasting, though she found it harder to find time, and places to practice as her Mother left her job at the local University to work from home. So she began to train away from home, in the city, and surrounding area, which is how she got into her first crime fighting scenario.
While working on spells revolving around nature in the forest north of the city, she happened upon a family of campers under attack by what she would later know as Forgelings. Though she was nervous about using her powers to fight for the first time, she couldn't let the campers be harmed, and went to work. It was a hectic and clumsy fight, but in the end she defeated the creatures, though not without sustaining some serious injuries. Disoriented and in pain Rosemary fled the scene, and collapsed, where she was discovered by loggers, and brought to the hospital.
She told her parents, and the police that she had been attacked by wild animals, and after her injuries healed, returned home, vowing to become more powerful before trying to be a superhero. Fortunately for her, it didn't take too long for that to happen. Her Father had brought home various artifacts uncovered during their dig in South Africa to catalog, and examine before they were to be shipped to a museum across the country. A curious Rosemary decided to sneak a peek at some of the exhibits while her parents were out one night, and was drawn to a strange ornate statuette of a spider. Unbeknownst to her, the statuette held in it the magic of the Spider god, and had been activated during a ritual her Father had enacted in secret. When she touched the strange piece, the magic reacted with her magical powers, and she was chosen to act as a human totem for the spirit of the Spider god. This involved her tripping out to crazy images in her head for an hour while she convulsed on her living room floor as her body tried to deal with the power it was receiving. She passed out, and eventually woke up to her worried parents kneeling over her.
When they asked her what had happened, she shrugged, honestly not remembering, and it wasn't until a day later that she began to discover her new spider-like powers. Unsure of where they came from, and unable to remember the incident with the spider statue, she decided to use her new powers to fight villians like she had originally planned, but also realized that she needed to uncover the secret behind her powers, as great power was not just handed out without giving something in return.
Appearance:
- Rough Portrait
Rosemary was once a thin, fragile, ghost of a girl, but that has long since changed. Where she was once scrawny and weak, she has grown toned, and strong. Her stick like body has become lithe, and fit. Even her skin, though still quite pale, seems healthier, and more flush. The power of the Spider has turned the girl into the picture of perfection, both in looks, and in health.
The rambunctious teenager has fiery red hair, that falls down to her chest. She usually keeps it tied in various knots and braids, sometimes weaving beads, and other jewellery into it. When on the beat, she generally keeps her hair tied up in a ponytail, which she keeps pushed under the hood of her sweater. Freckles dot her friendly face, with an abundance covering her small nose, above her toothy grin. She has bright green eyes, that seem to grow brighter and more intense as she casts spells, or uses her powers.
In regards to clothing, she has quite an eccentric outfit, ranging from bright yellow overalls, to zebra print tights, and similar attire. She tends to pick wild combinations of clothing, usually involving bright colors, or unusual designs, which contrasts against her Hero attire, in which she tried to stick to dark shades of black, green, red or blue. Rose has yet to create an actual costume, and instead usually fights crime in a black hoodie, with a neon purple zipper, and drawstrings, a pair of denim shorts with tights underneath, and a pair of converse, of which she has various colors.
According to her friend Alexander, he is working on a costume for her.

Other:
This will be my first Hero character. I plan on having two Hero's and two villians, and I have a rough idea on what they will all be like. The villain I plan on creating to go along with Rosemary will actually be her father, whom has been involved in a cult worshipping Spiders, and the Spider god for some time, and will eventually become it's leader, and a antagonist for Rosemary and other Hero's of Westport city. I'll have his CS up next, but for now I think I'll just use Rose, and get past her beginnings so to speak.
I plan on her being more a supernatural Hero, in that she be most likely to fight a group of vampires, or a coven of witches, than a group of armed bankrobbers etc. Though I'd like for her to perhaps join a super team, or team up with another Hero to expand her crime fighting agenda. I also wanna explore the dark side of her powers eventually, since they stem from a Spider God that is not necessarily all that good. I feel like I'm gonna play her sort of as a mix between Spiderman and Batman, not entirely of course but in the sense that she's going to be a wise cracking teenager who is actually quite nervous or downright scared during dangerous situations, yet is able to utilize her unnatural powers to strike fear into criminals, as her spider-like powers can be quite creepy, and intimidating.
Name: Alexander ’Xander’ Richards
Alignment: Hero
Age: 18
Abilities:
-Highly intelligent, bordering on genius.
Equipment: He’s almost always carrying around tech of some kind. Generally he keeps his laptop with him, and a PDA that acts as a wifi hotspot. He prefers fight crime from the sidelines where he works best, and therefore deploys his most elaborate invention ‘The Spider-bot’ onto the frontlines to act as his surrogate.
The Spider-bot: A fully functional, all purpose, remote controlled robot, designed to mimic the shape, movement, and actions of a spider. Alexander had begun working on a robotic assistant long before teaming up with Rose to fight crime, and after learning her secret, he adapted his plans to compliment Rose’s persona. Thus the Spider-bot was born, or rather, created.
The robots body is roughly the size of a backpack, and is made of a sturdy, yet lightweight metal Alexander had a hard time coming by. The outer shell is made to withstand extreme temperatures, and blunt force trauma, but is susceptible to ballistics fire and piercing attacks. The shell is also somewhat rounded to deflect blades. Inside the chrome body lies the robots hardware and various tech, ranging from weapons systems to it’s communications relay. Currently the robot is sporting dual reveal able tasers, capable of firing jolts of electricity into enemies, and a disc launcher located on the front of it that fires weighted disc’s use to deal heavy blows, and knock criminals down.
Alexander is currently working on replicating the webbing Rosemary is capable of firing to outfit the Spider-bot with web shooters.
The robot’s legs can also retract into its body, or extent out an extra few feet for added reach. When not in use, Rose can carry the machine on her back as a backpack, by having it retract it’s middle four legs, and locking its forward and hind appendages around her shoulders like shoulder straps. The machine is just small enough to fit snugly on her back without much obstruction.
While the Spider-Bot is mostly chrome, parts of its shell, and the outer armor on it's legs are matte black.
http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_L-od63tgSh...ider+robot.jpg
History: Alexander moved to Westport city with his family when he was a small child. He became good friends with a young girl by the name of Rosemary soon after arriving in the city, and their friendship grew as they did.
Two years ago his mother passed away with a fatal illness, leaving him in the sole care of his father. Just a month ago his best friend Rose revealed to him that she had some sort of supernatural powers and intended to use them to fight crime like the many other Super Hero’s in the city. She asked for his help, and he eagerly agreed. Since then he has created various gadgets for her, and has just recently completed work on his prized Spider-Bot, a robot that will allow him to fight crime alongside Rose from the safety of his own home.
Appearance: Alexander is a tall, lanky teenager with short, messy brown hair, and brown eyes. Nothing about the boy really stands out, he looks like your average teenager, save for his rather dated fashion sense. The teen’s wardrobe consists of various khaki pants, jeans, sweater vests, and polo’s, and he prefers to dress rather conservatively unlike many his age.
Other: So basically Alexander is gonna fight crime through the Spider-bot… for now at least. I thought I’d write him out a CS anyways, since I would have to eventually, and I didn’t know if I should write a CS for the Spider-Bot, or just introduce the sidekick/companion like robot randomly in the story. For now the robot will be controlled remotely by Alex, but eventually he will implement some form of A.I so that it can help Rose even if Alex is unavailable.
Name: Nathaniel Flynn
Alias: Lord Web
Alignment: Super Villain.
Abilities:
-Well versed in Black magic. Capable of casting destructive spells with ease, such as conjuring balls of fire, creating explosions, summoning magic weapons etc. Most of his spell repertoire revolves around damaging spells.
While most of his magical skill lies in the Black Arts, he is also a capable caster when it comes to the more defensive aspect of combat magic. Though he cannot cast defensive spells such as shields, and counters as quickly or freely as he could cast offensive abilities, he still boasts a wide variety of defensive, or White Art spells. Many require reagents and rituals however, so he tries to buff himself with magic before entering a fight.
-Strands of Fate; as long as he holds the Staff of Anansi, Lord Web is able to glimpse peeks into the Web of Fate, the supernatural plane known to influence the outcome of chance in the mortal realm. Sometimes he is able to see well enough that he’ll know when an enemy is going to attack, and how. Other times he catches only small glimpses of the web, and has to piece together the information to essentially see some of the possible futures, therefore he always makes plans his schemes quite meticulously, going over every little detail, using the staff to catch any flaws or weakness in his plan’s before they are exploited.
-He wears a magical necklace which creates a thin, magical barrier around him, that absorbs some spells, and prevents some damage.
-As Nathaniel Flynn, Lord Web has taken various self defense classes, and is enrolled in a weekly martial arts class with his daughter, Rosemary.
Equipment:
-Staff of Anansi; an ancient and mystical artifact taken from its three hundred year resting ground deep in an African rainforest. It allows its wielder to attempt to view the Web of Fate, which in the process gives the wielder the power to see into the future, or view the possible outcomes of certain actions, and events.
-Necklace of Mar-et; a Necklace believed to have been crafted in ancient Egypt. It creates an invisible, magical barrier around it’s wearer that fits to their body shape.
History: A renown history professor and Archeologist, Nathaniel Flynn began down the road to becoming a Super Villain when he stumbled upon the hidden burial ground of an ancient clan of Spider worshipping people in South America. While there he summoned [or was visited] by some form of spirit. It claimed to be the God of Spiders, the great Anansi as some knew him. It led Nathan through the burial ground, to the ruins of the great clans village, and finally to an abandoned temple, used by the Spider cult.
There he found the Staff of Anansi. The spirit told him that with the staff he would be able to see beyond time, and reality, to glimpse an infinite possibilities, and ultimately harness fate. But before he would be able to manipulate fate, the Staff would need to be returned to its full power, and do to this, Nathan would have to summon the Spider spirit into the mortal realm.
With instructions given to him by the spirit, and knowing that the Spider God watched over him, Nathan returned to Westport City intent on bringing the Spider God into the world once again, and so that he might return the Staff of Anansi’s true power, and use it to twist fate to his liking.
Little did he know the so called Spirit of the Spider was not all he claimed to be…
Appearance: For a man in his late forties, Nathaniel is in tip top shape. He is well built, lean, and toned, the results of actively exercising, and eating right. Traveling around the world looking for ancient artifacts can be a taxing job, so he has to make sure he is in the proper shape to do it.
Unlike his Wife and daughter, Nathan has chestnut brown hair, and is getting some grey areas around his temples. He has a box like face, with a square jaw, and blue eyes. He is also rather tall, standing at about six feet.
When acting as Lord Web, he wears black robes, and a large black cape with spider webs detailed onto it. He keeps the hood of his robe up, and using magic, keeps it in place, and darkens the inside of his hood so that all one can see inside it is darkness, giving him a vary ominous appearance.
Other: Rosemary’s father in case that wasn’t immediately apparent. I’m planning on having him lose the Staff of Anansi after his initial arc, which will involve trying to summon the Spider god, fighting Rose, blah blah, learning who Rose actually is and vice versa, etc etc, ending with his defeat, and incarceration? We’ll see.

Because of this, she has decided to also become a hero to try and help her brother however she can. She has only recently become a hero, and her brother has a bit more experience than her.
Appearance: Shorter. about 5' 2". Athletic. longer dark blue hair, blue eyes. Jeans, black shirt, longcoat, and a mask. Age: 14, born March 18, 1998
Other: Alex's sister. They currently live in the orphanage for now. Doesn't have as much experience as her brother. She is, however, very clever and good at coming up with plans.
yes, I am reusing a name from another RP. No, this Mia has no relation to the Mia from the WFP rp. So it won't be depressing
Clay
Name: Magma
Alignment: Hero
Abilities: A being made entirely from Lava and rock. He is able to throw/spray magma and rock as well has construct simple objects using his lava like clay and letting it cool. He uses the magma he is made up of, so when he starts running out of lava made clear by his shrinking stature he can absorb rock and remake himself. He can not control lava once it has left his touch but is able to shape shift and control lava has long has he is connected to it. He also seems to be able to cool the lava into a few different forms of rock, but once it turns to rock. He prefers to keep his lava form solidifying so he can reuse it.
Equipment: Only his own body.
History: Magma was the typical high school jock. He had a one way ticket to fame with a scholarship to one of the most prestigious university in the country to play football. He had a beautiful girlfriend and was immensely popular.
The day before graduating he and his friends organized a party on the island to the west. He belonged to a rich family and had boats set up to bring people over and spent several thousand decorating a section at the base of the Volcano to be a hot Hawaiian party.
The night went great with him and his best friend effectively became superstars in his high school year. But Sadly James, Magma's true name, was not around long enough to enjoy it. As the party started dying down and everyone had ingested entirely too much alcohol the party moved up to the mouth of the volcano. James, being a bit to brave for his own good, tried to impress a few girls by climbing over the small fence the government had set up just for this reason. He was stumbling around enjoying the playful screams of the girls when the ground beneath him gave way and he fell into the pit.
The night ended with his painful screams breaking the teens out of their drunkenness. They called the police but the choppers couldn't find any trace of him, they assumed he was buried beneath the lava and ended the party pronouncing him deceased. His parents went on to have his funeral and his best friend and girlfriend went on to college, forcing his memory out of their minds.
What no one knew was the collection of magical stones burried in the lava. They had the unintended effect of infusing his body with a magical aura that took on the shape of the closest element, magma... He awoke beneath the sea of red, a loose floating form. Slowly he learned to control this magical aura and learned to form into various shapes. Once he felt he mastered his aura he decided to venture into Westport, albeit with utmost caution. He found the city and his former life moved on without him, leaving nothing but overgrown grass at his empty grave...
Magma recently left his shelter in the volcano to the west and headed into Westport City. His most notable appearance is saving a group of heroes from an ambush by constructing and obsidian shell around them separating them form the onslaught of a dozen villains. Together they were able to fend off the villains from the hospital the heroes were protecting.
Other: Magma tends to use his abilities to save the innocent first. He is not afraid to fight, but if more lives will be saved from his backing down he always will. You can occasionally see him in the background of hero/villain battles saving pedestrians from stray powers and falling debris.
