The ECS originated as a political group fighting for the freedom of North Ireland against British occupation. However, a senior member of the group, Jamie O'Reilley, began to use the influence of the ECS to extort money from both Irish and North Irish local and state governments. As O'Reilley grew more powerful in the ECS and accumulated more wealth, the other leaders of the political group began to catch on. Unfortunatly for them, it was too late - O'Reilley had the support of the majority of the ECS, and the senior members that disagreed with him were either killed or exiled.
With the ECS firmly under O'Reilley's control, he began to expand the group into a full fledged criminal syndicate. Thanks to the ECS's strong political ties, the group's illegal actions were simply overlooked in most of Ireland. The ECS not only performed common gang related jobs such as automobile theft and resale, armed robbery and the production of illegal drugs, but also bought shares of many large Irish corporations. Jamie O'Reilley, who had never been connected to any of the illegal actions of the ECS, became one of the richest men in Ireland, and eventually he decided to allow one of his allies in his struggle to take over the ECS, Samuel Murray, to start a branch of the gang in the Northern Hemisphere. Unlike O'Reilley, Samuel had a fairly strong moral compass, and only allowed the use of torture and murder unless absolutely necessary. Still, Murray grew the Western branch of the ECS into a criminal organization to rival that of their brothers in the homeland.
1. Respect. The ECS, and other gangs. This is Samuel Murray's primary rule, and anyone who breaks it will be severely punished. If the rival gang is not at war with the ECS, they should be treated with the respect given to another ECS member
2. Honor. With Rule 1 in mind, if anybody slanders or discredits the good ECS name, it is the right of an ECS member to do everything in their power to make that person pay.
3. Chivalry. An ECS member should never steal from the poor, never deal to the young, and should help a person in need to enough extent that they make a difference, but not so that it puts the member in a position of weakness.
4. Policy. Everyone with devotion to Éire's Champions may join the ECS, but generally only those of Irish origin are promoted to a managment position. This rule has been bent for certain individuals.
Where the hide out is: The legitimate business of the American ECS branch is run from out of the P. Wentworth building in Boston, Massachusetts. The illegal actions, however, are based out of two large shipping warehouses in Chicago and Houston.
Name: Neil Murray
Apperance: Stands at 5'10", with deep brown eyes and hair to match. His hair is kept short, around an inch, for the purpose of keeping up appearances. Is lean and fairly muscular, with a deep cut in his right arm from a chop-shop accident years back. Wears a sharp black Italian suit when working honestly, and jeans and a leather jacket when out on the streets.
Personality: Professional and mature when working, but naturally charming and witty when talking, Neil generally asks questions first, then makes clear, educated decisions. He has a heart bigger than the average gangster, donating to charity and abiding by the 3rd Rule of the American ECS quite regularly. During times of war, he is ruthless and calculating, and never puts the reputation of the ECS into question.
Bio: As the son of Samuel Murray, Neil was the obvious choice to succeed him. When Samuel reached the age of 70, he retired and gave the title to Neil. Although Neil was born in Boston, he is 100% Irish, and therefore allowed to lead. As a child, Samuel was often away on business, leaving Neil alone or with a trusted 'family friend' (Generally a Senior ECS member) at the Murray Estate. Despite being gone often, Samuel made Neil one of his top priorities, and the two had a great relationship. He learned to shoot and fight at a young age, though he did not actually participate in ECS activities until he was 17, working on stolen cars at the ECS's Boston chop-shop.

Name: Samuel Carter
Physical Description: Samuel stands at 5'9", with regulation-length dark brown hair. His eyes are faded brown, a result of pollution in his former city on Earth. His skin is light, but not pale, despite not having much exposure to a sun's rays in recent years. His face is clean-shaven, and he is trim and athletic.
Occupation: Senior Navigation Officer
Experience: Samuel graduated from the Institute for Space Flight and Navigation as the second best in his class. After serving aboard the Far Reach Exploration Craft for 10 years, he was transferred to the Hope's Giant and set the record for being the youngest ever Navigation Officer to reach a Senior position.
Personality: Often noted as being an easy-going officer who was quick to make important decisions, yet quicker to crack a joke, his personality was forcefully altered by the Office of Space Affairs when he was given a record breaking promotion. The spotlight was thrust on him, as he became the envy of his peers. O.S.A. expected for him to be serious, determined, and always ready for any obstacle.

Brief history: Chase does not remember his chaotic human life. Life as he knew it began when the building he was in was overrun by the infected. After surviving an extremely close call with a winged flesh-eater, Chase began to notice subtle changes in himself. Normally a calm man, he began to have violent outbursts on occasion. After about a month, he noticed a physical change as a result of the conflict - he grew wings. Thrown out of his community by worried neighbors, Chase travelled to the ISH, but remained outside, for fear of being rejected or killed. He wandered around the ruins of America, and over the years discovered yet another side effect of his encounter; Though quite mortal, Chase did not appear to age a day.
Weapons: Dual finely crafted obsidian swords, given to him by a dying warrior in what used to be the United States Northeast.
Personality: Generally a calm, rational man, who rarely lets his other side slip. When it does, however, he is ruthless and calculating.
Other: Has become a myth of sorts among the survivors of North America; rumors of the 'Angel of Ruins' are spread widely, but Chase has never given anyone reasonable cause to link him to the allegations.

Description: Sharp dark brown eyes, close cut regulation black hair; lean, with a good balance of speed and strength
Personality: Chase is friendly at base, but calculating and deadly in battle. When not in a life threatening situation, he will make jokes, and talk to his fellow soldiers, in the hopes of boosting morale. During a fight, however, he is all business. He has a personal grudge with the Covenant, and will only spare one if he is directly ordered to do so. He will do everything in his power to rescue a teammate if they are in trouble, but is mature enough to know when not to risk even more lives. He will go silent for periods of time, remaining alert, but otherwise mute. Sometimes depression just takes too much out of him.
Background: Like so many other Spartan IIIs, Chase's entire family was killed by the Covenant. His home world was one of the lucky few to repel the initial invasion, but not before the Aliens destroyed the city his family resided in, while he was away visiting relatives. Chase left for Onyx, and was informed some time later that the Covenant had launched a second attack - and won.

- Military Training: Anthony spent 8 years in the U.S. Army, and received extensive training both at home and overseas. Because of this, he is less likely to crack under pressure, and knows his way around virtually any kind of firearm. Passive Ability

Born to working parents in Lakewood, Colorado, Anthony found himself alone quite often. Eventually, he began shooting targets in his backyard using his father's rifle. However, this did not distract him from school, and he graduated with high honors, 5th in his class. Anthony was accepted to a highly respected college, and left with a bachelors degree.
From there he joined the U.S. Army, and due to his college education, was immediatly promoted to Specialist. By the time he was deployed to fight in Afghanistan, Tony had achieved the rank of Sergeant. However, two weeks before his 30th birthday, his squad was en route to a suspected terrorist intelligence base, when an explosive detonated next to his humvee. Of the six passengers, two were killed, and the rest had varying injuries. Shrapnel from the vehicle penetrated Anthony's right leg. He was taken to a hospital at the nearest Base, and although they were able to remove the shrapnel and save his leg, it took Anthony almost a year of physical therapy to recover. But even then, his leg will never be 100% fixed.
Sergeant Wheeler was honourably discharged due to his injuries, and sent back home. He was in Arizona, on the way to visit a friend from high school, when he stopped at a mall to eat, as he still had a ways to go. There the infection struck, and he was trapped - once again in a warzone, only with a new, unfamiliar enemy.

Appearance: Tall, with tan skin and a sharp look about him. His eyes are a strange bright hazel and red color, and his face is generally frowning, giving the impression that he is always devising a plan. His hair is long and black, tied back into a tight ponytail that runs down to about the middle of his spine. He always carries a rapier, although he is not actively involved in the Military.

Short Bio: Luciano was born into a family of great wealth and influence. His father was a merchant, at the head of a large trading operation. The family employed a large army to protect the trade routes, and Luciano's brother, Carlo, was assigned to lead and organize the army. However, during Carlo's career a major route was raided by hostile legions, and the family lost a significant amount of wealth. Luciano's father killed Carlo as punishment, and told Luciano to rise to power quickly, as then there would be less time to get himself killed too. Luciano joined the court, and rose to the position of Duke in the name of the House of Diamonds. To create a bridge between himself and the House of Clubs, a larger establishment, Luciano married Arabella, however it was purely a political marriage. Despite the formality of their marriage, Luciano treats Arabella as a close friend and even an advisor at times.

Traits: Stubborn and headstrong, but also highly intelligent. An avid student of the arts of warfare, Federico is a soldier at heart. He holds his pride as dear to his heart as his family and his kingdom.
Appearance: With bright blue eyes, short, messy brown hair and a tan complexion, Federico is considered very handsome both inside and out of the kingdom of his father's. He is reasonably tall, and always has a weapon at hand, taking after his father, although Federico is much more willing to draw.

Traits: Calm, knowledgeable, and witty, Arabella is a good mother to her two children, and an essential advisor and friend to Luciano. She takes politics seriously, like her husband, and although her views on some matters vary from him, she supports his decisions.
Appearance: Petite, with shoulder length auburn hair and fairer skin than the men in her family (Luciano, Federico). Despite her age, she remains beautiful, and her chocolate brown eyes shine with the same determination and hospitality as they always have.

Personality: Quiet, though highly educated, A.J. plans every move he makes, putting immense thought into his every decision. When he does talk, he is polite and respectful, however he is not a big believer in small-talk. Abasin-Jan shows signs of PTSD when faced with terrorist forces - especially the Taliban Regime - and may be due to his capture and torture at the hands of the insurgents.
History: Abasin-Jan Sherwai was born in 1987, to a wealthy family living in Kabul. He was enrolled in the Lycée Esteqlal, a prominent Franco-Afghan School, where he learned French, in addition to his native Dari language. At age 20, he returned to Afghanistan after living in the United Kingdom for two years, and joined the Afghanistan National Army. For four years, he worked closely with American and International forces, combating the Taliban Regime. In 2007, he was involved in a battle in the south of Afghanistan, leading to the death of a major Taliban military commander. In January 2010, after Taliban insurgents assaulted the Presidential Palace in Kabul, Abasin-Jan's squad was among three sent to raze a key Taliban outpost. During the night assault, ANA forces managed to destroy the compound and dispatch multiple enemies in what seemed like an absolute success. Abasin-Jan's squad was left to secure the surrounding area, and the other two squads returned to their base. While searching, his squad found a heavily guarded bunker in a small village. Taliban forces fired on the squad, killing two members and taking Abasin-Jan prisoner. He was detained and tortured for a month, before American forces seized the bunker and freed him. During his torture, the Taliban slit Abasin-Jan's right arm with a knife, leaving a large scar. Almost a year after his rescue, Abasin-Jan was promoted, and selected to be trained as an ANA Commando by the American Green Berets. During his training, he was given the nickname 'A.J.' by the U.S. Special Forces he met. Though unhappy with his nickname at first, he eventually warmed to it. During his two years as a Commando, he became an expert in the tactics and operations of the terrorist groups operating in Afghanistan, and was involved in numerous espionage operations. At the beginning of 2013, Abasin-Jan was once again promoted, this time to the ANA Special Forces, an elite unit made from the best Commandos.

Recent History: Ever since Hugo Reyes became the Island's Guardian, Ben has been right by his side, serving as Hurley's 2nd in Command. Over the course of a year, he tied up loose ends in external DHARMA compounds, returned Desmond Hume back home to his wife and child, and brought Walt Lloyd back to his home, the Island. Having returned with Walt and Hurley to the Island only a month before the current date, Ben was only just getting back into the Island's rhythem.
Inventory: A large collection of books, at his house in the village, and a pair of eyeglasses. Other possessions reside there too, but they have less meaning to him.

Other: He also has clearance to access the community armory, though he is not much of a fighter. In addition, he is almost always the first person in the loop, learning things as Hurley learns them, or in some cases, even before his boss is informed.

Basic attire: Alex wears his standard grey camo US Army uniform, bearing the Corporal insignia. Underneath he has a plain white t-shirt, as well as black hiking boots for shoes. He has a pair of black sunglasses, but (obviously) only wears them during the day. The rest of the time they hang from his shirt collar or are atop his head.

Personality: Alex is an extremely determined and rational individual. He takes on any objective given to him, and tries to complete it to the best of his ability. He hates leaving something unfinished. He is also quite cynical, acquiring his disdain of the majority of the human population prior to the outbreak. The fact that most of these same people are now dead, or rather undead, does not seem to change his opinion of them. That being said, he is friendly and trustworthy to individuals he likes, though it is not often such a person comes around.
History: Alexander Liu was born to a Chinese immigrant father and an American mother outside the city of Baltimore, Maryland. When Alex was two years old, his father was killed in a hit and run "accident" in which the person driving the vehicle was never caught. When his mother learned the news, she committed suicide, prompting Alex and his then seven year old sister Anna to be placed in government housing. Over the next dozen or so years, the two went to various homes, but were always removed because of troubles from the guardians to the two children, or vice versa. Eventually Anna graduated, and she was offered a decent paying job in southern Maryland. She took it, to support her brother, and left Alex alone.
Four years after that, Alex graduated high school as 5th in his class, and got a scholarship to go to a small college in Baltimore. He received an Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering, and at age 20 he joined the United States Army, moving away from Maryland to a military base. Due to his college experience, he was automatically promoted to Private First Class. After a year, he skipped the Specialist designation, instead being promoted to Corporal, where he stayed until the time of the outbreak.
As he was a non-com in the US Army, he was among the first to learn about the outbreak. He managed to get a call out to his sister, and told her everything he knew about it - probably breaking numerous military laws in the process. He told her to find someone safe and that he would be in touch, but the next time he tried calling there was no answer. The possibility of his sister's survival is what drives Alex to keep going.

Name: Juan Ramiro Medina
Appearance: A handsome man by anyone's standards, Juan Ramiro stands at 5'10". He is muscular, though not too bulky, and is swift enough to flee the scene if a job goes south. His dark brown hair is often overgrown past his ears, and curls slightly at the ends. He has pale blue, disarming eyes, and is almost never seen not wearing a suit. Custom tailored, always black, despite the warm Los Angeles weather, and always Italian made. 'Because the Italians do it best'.
Personality: Juan is one of those people who performs best in crowds, but when alone can become severely introverted. Undoubtedly a product of his scarred childhood. He has been known to be sincere, genuine, and genuinely whimsical, although these probably should be taken with a grain of salt, seeing as large part of his job involves tricking people for personal gain. His close friends, however, know him as one who will crack a joke to lighten the mood, but will be serious when the situation demands it. A person who likes to talk but is able to listen, and listen well. This being said, next to nobody can even claim to have been Juan Medina's close friend. He certainly has many acquaintances, but is often very reluctant to open up to people.
Biography: Juan Ramiro Medina was born in Mexico City, and lived in the town of Teoloyucan, Mexico until he was 20. His father, Manuel, was a firefighter, and his mother Teresa a waitress. his little sister, Gabriela, was born two years later, and the family lived in a small, near-destitute ranch style home on the outskirts of the town. Despite his family's situation, Juan immediately stuck out in public school. He was nearly always the brightest child in each of his classes, and excelled specifically in mathematics. His other major talent was in fact that he was a fantastic speaker, often being the one to mediate any situation (and occasionally, the one that was able to talk his way out of a detention or two). All the signs pointed to Juan having a bright, legitimate and successful future. Until the night when his parents were both killed in an explosion that leveled their house.
Seventeen year old Juan and fifteen year old Gabriela were both at school. When they learned of their parents death, they were told it was an accident - that the likely cause was ignition of the gas in the stove. Juan was skeptical, but kept this feelings to himself, not wanting to worry his sister. He moved into an apartment and began to raise his sister by himself. Quickly, however, he realized he could not manage to live on a part time job's salary, and dropped out of school his senior year. The potential employers, however, were not looking for high school dropouts, so Juan was forced to go into crime. For awhile, he traversed the streets of Mexico City running short-cons and pickpocketing. But by the time he was twenty, his skills grew to include rudimentary safecracking, and knowledge of how to pick any sort of standard lock.
After his sister graduated third in her class, twenty year old Juan decided he would pursue larger targets. Though he now lived comfortably in Teoloyucan, he could not imagine the wealth he would obtain in the United States. His destination, after much deliberation, ended up being the City of Angels - Los Angeles.
Once in L.A., Juan found himself making more money than he knew what to do with. At first, much of it he sent back to Gabriela, but he still could afford many luxuries. luxuries he Had never before had in Mexico. A new car, a wardrobe full of suits - store bought, at first, but they were eventually replaced with custom tailored one - and, eventually, a large manor in the city. He worked solo for a few years, doing jobs for employers that needed something stolen. He was always careful to make sure there was no trail to lead back to him or his clients. "Anonymity," he once said, "Is just about as important to me as my appearance." Seeking to make even more money to finance his luxurious lifestyle, and honestly believing that there is strength in numbers, he soon joined the Sins, which he now considers his family, and where he has stayed since.

Personality(optional): Charismatic, smooth-talking, and professional; Everything you'd expect from a big city lawyer. Around others, he appears humorous and considering the circumstances quite content with life. However, by himself he is quite introverted and pensive. When talking, he manages somehow to always be the 'life of the party' while never revealing anything personal about himself. He's learned the hard way that a person's life is taken away all to quickly in this new world, and doesn't want to feel the pain of losing more people close to him.

Mechanics - Despite his occupation as a big city, expensive attorney, Desmond knows his way around a vehicle. He doesn't have much experience, but at least enough to keep his sedan running long enough to make it to Colorado.
