Rabble rabble rabble!
Hello there. I've been role playing for lots of years, forum role playing for almost as many, and I consider one-on-one play-by-post role plays my niche. I've owned focused forum role plays in the past, until I realized that I just don't do all that well in multi-person games.
I'm generally considered an "advanced" role player, but these tags - in my opinion - do more harm than good for the role play community. Meaning, I see the advanced tag daily abused by pretentious writers who demand 1000+ word minimum posts; yet in their nauseatingly wordy posts, they cannot seem to find the time to move the plot forward. Good role playing, in my opinion, is good writing, and good writing keeps me interested. Surprise me, terrify me, make me think of our story when I'm tossing restlessly in bed. Give me characters I can daydream about. And for goodness' sake, forget your pride.
Meanwhile, loads of creative minds cluster themselves in the casual tag because they are intimidated or otherwise put off by the strenuous demands set out in the rules and guidelines of "advanced" threads. Somewhere along the lines, creativity was put on the back burner in role playing communities. I will always put it first.
But I've gone way off topic. I'm here because I love creating worlds and characters and I love finding people to collaborate with. Also, I love to teach as much as I love to learn, so partnering with a newer or younger or less experienced role player is something I'm always willing to do. :)

We'come to the guild... You have read the guide, yes?
You like more advanced levels, yet are not put off by seemingly extreme norms for it. What genres do you prefer? High fantasy? Sci-Fi? Modern Fantasy? Randomly created universes? Historic? fandom RPs? Supernatural stuff?

Cause there's not much we can get done by standing around yelling rabble!

Welcome to the Guild Shaman, I think if you look at our forum standards for the levels you will see the expectations are reasonable (Advanced Roleplay - Elevated standards. Advanced RP focuses on longer posts that include character development and elaborate plot development. Minimum 2-3 paragraphs per post) that doesn't mean we don't see the snobbery, but there are a rather lot of advanced players who are not snobs. But all levels of RP here are filled with wonderfully talented and creative RPers and I hope you find lots to keep you occupied here. If you have any questions or require any assistance let me know and I will do my best to be of service. Happy Role Playing!
