This is just to see if anyone might be interested in such an idea. I'm going for an Inuyasha/ Bleach kinda feel where you can have an intelligent weapon that may or may not have the ability to transform or grow stronger the more you use it, as well as have powerful abilities. I would prefer that the weapons had some kind of presence within them whether its a sophisticated creature or completely wild. It doesn't have to be a demon within it either it could be anything; Dragon soul, Demon, some random race, hell it could even have a peice of yourself if you want. (Think fuedal era or medieval) Your not limited to bladed weapons but I just think they are more fun.

This is just some random map, think of it as our worlds layout.

History of the continent:

When the continent of Nyreath was young vicious demons roamed the land feasting upon the creatures and people. The vast races of the world couldn't hold back the raw power of these destructive beings. Until one day men and women from each kingdom came together forming the largest collaborated army the land had ever seen. They fought and died trying to forever end their living nightmare. This war lasted for 6 years, 6 months, and 6 days. They would place binding enchantments upon the weapons, then once the demons became struck and bound to the weapon they would seal them within forever ending their dark reign. After it was over all the various races went their separate ways each taking with them numerous weapons as tools of war to strengthen themselves as well as their own land. It has been 200 years since that faithful day that the land was liberated. The various kingdoms are on the brink of war with eachother. An ancient and powerful demon has been released by a shadowy organization that is intending to once again throw our world into chaos. Each kingdom is assembling a group of adventurers to investigate this mystery, some allied kingdoms have even combined their groups to build trust between them.

Races: Anything you want to be! Just some ideas they aren't limited to these races, also you can be a mixed race if you want. Human, Centaur, Fae, Merfolk, Demon, Dragon, Elven, Orcish, whatever strikes your fancy. You can also be werewolves, vampires, or a demigod (you can make up your own god for this as well).

Weapons: Any, you can also have more than one.

Storyline: You will start out unaware of the current situation, a letter from the king or queen will be delivered to you or you will see signs that call for brave men and women to look into a mystery sweeping across the land. (Idk I would like to hear everyones input to make this better) It won't be every second an intense battle comes along I want the people to communicate with eachother. If you want you can even make your races backstory. People may also add romance if they want.

Kingdoms: Bane'ros (Humaniod based creatures are found here), Trelvorte (Nature based creatures are found here), Wynriak (Wind/winged based creatures are found here), Aquinon (Water based creatures are found here), Phirios (Fire based creatures are found here), Syphinaut (Shadow based creatures are found here). These are the six main kingdoms to choose from, based on which category your characters fall into that will determine which they are from. If your character doesn't fit feel free to make your own but it will be a smaller kindom compared to these six.
Dragons Wasteland (Dragon based creatures come from here) is basically a breeding ground for every type of dragon it has a multitude of different terrains dividing the other kingdoms.

Her eyes are a bright sky blue, she has chocolate brown hair as well as a light skin tone. She wears a battle outfit that has pull on sleeves that are a deep purple.

Her obi sash is a light pink, her top is bubblegum pink with light violet butterflies on it. Her pleated skirt is blue with white rim on it.

Her socks are light sky blue and she wears red shoes. Her hair clips are half butterfly wings with with red dots. She is rather short only about 150cm.

History: She had a normal life, simply going to school, having fun with her friends, doing chores. While not perfect she was happy and content. Then someone invaded her homeland, to protect everyone she grabbed whatever she could use as a weapon and voluntarily took up arms to protect what she could.

She dragged along her two best friends along Hina and Kiku (who is actually a boy) with her. She fought until her side won the war at the expense of two best friends lives. She found their dead bodies and buried them away. She wept for her friends for days feeling so guilt ridden.

One day she heard them say " We're always here... Don't forget us... Never forget us..." It was at that time, that their bond was so strong that their souls transferred in her gem necklaces that they gave her. She went to the blacksmith and put the gems into her wands.

She now fights to avenge her friends, to kill he who killed them. Still she is still peppy and energetic but she feel great grief and rage under that smile.

Skills: She can shoot energy balls with her wands. She has great agility and is very quick. She is great at flips and the like. She can create forcefields, tornadoes and meteor storms. She can heal her friends. She has the ablilty to jump high and shoot honing energy balls. She has a the ability to change her choice of element to light, dark and lightning.

Kingdom: While she is searching for the killer of her friends, she usually in Bane'ros

Allignment: She is usually on the side she THINKS is good.

Weapon: His longsword that has a soul of a lich lord possessing it. The swords name is Lich. (Garret isn’t found of the lich so doesn’t feel it should get a proper name.)

History: Garret was raised in the Kingdom of Valshin. Ever since given the opportunity, Garret started learning martial arts, acrobatics and the skills of an assassin and warrior. He was quickly excelling peers even those of older age. He had a terrible run in with lich's causing a grudge he could never forget. Garret even reached a Lich lord and killed it. A notorious feat to his kingdom. It is what made him a hero in their eyes. However, the lich lord was not satisfied with his death. And possessed the sword Garret used to kill the lich. Now the sword is bound to him spiritually and never leaves his side. During a terrible nightmare caused by his sword, Garret awoke up in the world of Nyreath

History: He was born the son of a legendary knight. However he took his mother side over his father and thus was named Kuro Mirai, which means black future. He strives his best to do as much as he can, trying to live up to his father's reputation.

He was proven a fearsome warrior, who had inherited his fathers strength. He decided to make a customary lance for himself. After six months his lance was forged, he used it in battle.

Powers/Skills: He uses a rocket lance in battle. He has superhuman strength so he can swing it with ease. He uses his lance to pierce and knock down the toughest of defenses. He can use his rocket lance to launch himself, fire the lance itself as a missile or use it like a bomb.

At one of her 'travels', the ghost of a woman Aillis was supposed to kill attached to her sword after the woman spoke a curse over Aillis. Ever since that moment, whenever Aillis uses her sword, the ghost is able to talk to her and (almost) possess her.
Powers/Skills: She's able to change into a swan as long as she has her feather cloak with her. She is very deadly with her sword Einara.

History: Rohain is the apprentice of the local blacksmith due to his fathers' connections. Rohain himself admires a profession as a warrior. His twin blades are possessed by two dragon-demons. The blades were passed down in his family and after his dad died a few months ago, they became Rohain's.
Powers/Skills: Rohain is a skilled blacksmith, besides that he's a skilled warrior with twinswords. When Braoin and Breassal take over, he's able to shoot firballs at his enemies but he isn't very skilled with that yet since he only just got the blades a few months back.
