Hey all, welcome the The Sword of Truth OOC.
Here goes!

It has been 15 years since the last Lord Rahl, Richard Rahl Cypher, passed away. Since his reign both the old and new world knew peace. Since he, his wizard and the mother confessors demise. The empire fell apart. Since they passed on leaving no kids as heirs. The people's palace is run by the Mord Sith and several generals have gathered to hold a tournament. The victor shall be the new Lord Rahl. a couple of confessors came back to the midlands, they had been far away when the slaughter happened a couple of decades ago. The Sisters of Light got back to their own business of training mages. in the old world.

That is where it all begun with Emperor Jagang. one of his generals who had been left there to watch over his kingdom started his own army and has been gathering people to raise an army. now the time has come for General Tsukino to take over the old world and invade the new world.

Name: Ulyssia Belaar

Age: Ulyssia is 29 years old.

Gender: Female

Appearance: Ulyssia is a tall woman, she is shapely with an hourglass figure and she is very toned and well muscled. Ulyssia is 175 cm tall and weigh around 70 kilos. Ulyssia have long hair worn in a thick, elaborate braid that reaches her to her tail bone, her hair is dark brown but looks coppery when seen in the right kind of light. Ulyssia wear a white, close fitting Mord-Sith uniform she considers Meeru to be her mate and wear the white to show this, though in battle she will change into her regular brown uniform. Ulyssia is a pretty woman though few would go so far as to call her beautiful, her eyes are of a shade that is right between dark brown and green making them a sort of dark olive color, the Mord-Sith have high cheekbones and delicate lips. There is always a look of sadness in Ulyssia's eyes now but she do not let this show on the rest of her features. Ulyssia do not wear any jewelry normally but she have a small silver flower pendant that Meeru once gave her that she sometimes wear hidden under her uniform.

Class: Ulyssia is a Mord-Sith.

Side: Ulyssia is on the Light side but she have never given the matter much thought, her loyalties is to D'Hara and since her homeland generally is on the side of Light, at least now, so are she. Ulyssia do not have much time to consider good and evil and she do not care for either the Keeper or the Creator, her focus is on the here and now not some metaphysical sides in an eternal conflict.

Country of Origin: Ulyssia was born in a small farming village about 20 miles from the People's Palace in D'Hara.

History: Once, long ago a young goldsmith and his wife had a child, a little girl they name Ulyssia, the child was kind, and good and as she grew the goldsmith's home was filled with her laughter. The neighbors of the Belaar family always said that Ulyssia must be a good spirit in the flesh as the copper haired child always shared what she had with those children less fortunate than here or helped the old women of her village do chores and she never asked for anything in return. In most nations having such a doll for a daughter would be a blessing, but Alice and Jadan Belaar was afraid instead, they had tried but had never managed to conceive another child leaving their daughter a prime candidate for recruitment by the Mord-Sith, when their little copper haired spirit was nine years old, their fears came true.

Ulyssia was tortured and broken until there was nothing left of the happy child she had once been, then she had to watch her mother be tortured and killed over days and weeks. The first time she was broken Ulyssia learned to obey, to never question her master's orders, if the man had told her to jump of a cliff she would have and never given it a second's hesitation, the second time she was broken when she watched her mother be tortured to death Ulyssia's compassion died, then finally she was ready for training.

Years passed and the goldsmith's daughter was trained in everything from physical combat, to strategy, everything she would need to be an effective soldier, and off course she was trained in how to use torture. Many people think torture is easy but no Ulyssia learned that it was an art, she had to learn to read her victim and find the method that fit the best to get what she wanted from them that be information or just to see them suffer. After ten years of training when Ulyssia was nineteen years old she was finally deemed ready and where broken for the third time.

The goldsmith's daughter knew what was coming, she had heard the other girls talk about it, but that did not make her final test any easier. Ulyssia remembered her father's kind voice and how he always told her how much he loved her, but now he was given to her to be tortured and killed. Ulyssia did not want to harm her father, there was enough humanity left in her for that sentiment, but at the same time she had been so indoctrinated, D'Hara needed Mord-Sith to be a shield against magic and this way unfortunately was the only means to create one by, no Ulyssia did not want to harm her father but she did so anyway, she tortured him until he was nothing but a whimpering mess on the floor, and then she took his life. With her final test passed Ulyssia became a Mord-Sith and was given the power to capture magic and then she was put into service for the D'Haran Empire.

Ulyssia do not know how many magic users she have captured and tortured to death over the years, they have all become a blur in her mind, the witch who used crystals to spy on the army, the third order Wizard who used his magic to sneak into a lord's manor to rob the place, or the young sorceress who had insulted one of the D'Haran officers by refusing to share his bed, there where so many of them and they all broke, they all suffered and did whatever Ulyssia told them and in the end they all died screaming. Ulyssia did not really feel one way or another about what she did to the magic users she captured, yes she found torturing them enjoyable but mostly she did it out of duty, it was her job and it was not her place to question orders.

One day the young Mord-Sith was sent on an important mission. The village of Veldan, a trading post who had popped up on the new border now that the wall between D'Hara and the Midlands had fallen had a huge problem with smuggling, particularly of magical goods. Ulyssia was sent under cover to Veldan to discover who was behind the smuggling and then stop them. Once she had arrived at the border village and was sitting in an inn taking her supper Ulyssia heard a voice who said, "A lady this beautiful should not be dining alone." before the owner of that voice asked if he could join her. Ulyssia did not know what to do, she had never had the...willing...attention of a man before but now out of her uniform it seamed that someone found her attractive and hoped to charm her. Ulyssia ended up spending the entire evening talking with her unexpected suitor. Meeru Allimar was a second order wizard trained in the Midlands who had decided to take a journey and see the world after his long years of studying before he decided what to do with his life. Ulyssia do not know how one thing lead to another, but she did know that when in Meeru's presence her heart raced and her head spun and before she knew it she had invited Meeru to her bed, an offer he was more than willing to accept.

Ulyssia had never been with a man like this before, she had been raped more times than she could count, and she had raped others, forced her pets to sleep with her, but never had she been with a willing man where she was also willing. It was nice, Meeru was kind, passionate and considerate and while a part of Ulyssia regretted the lack of pain in the union she did enjoy the sex and the way Meeru made love to her for no other reason than that he liked her. One night became to, and soon the two of them where steady lovers and shared an inn room at night while Ulyssia worked on her mission by day. Off course Ulyssia soon managed to find the smugglers, kill the leaders and clean up the whole operation but in the process she got a knife in the gut. Meeru looked terrified when his lover came back to their inn room all bloody and he looked absolutely ghastly once he saw how bad Ulyssia's wound was. Suddenly Meeru closed his eyes for a moment and then he stretched out a hand to put it over Ulyssia's wound, the young Mord-Sith understood what he was doing and she grabbed his hand before Meeru could use his magic on her. Ulyssia had never wanted to tell Meeru that she was a Mord-Sith, not only was she under orders to stay under cover but also she did not want him to fear her, but now she had little choice but to tell him. Ulyssia had expected Meeru to run for the hills once he learned what she was but he did not, instead he just blinked and said. "Well that would explain how long your hair is." And then he shrugged, Ulyssia could not believe it, even knowing she was a being of magic made to destroy magic users he still loved her and stayed with her. For the first time since she was a little girl Ulyssia was truly happy.

Two days passed and Ulyssia's wound got infected, badly, the young Mord-Sith knew she would die, but she did not care, she would die as a result of doing her duty and with someone at her side who loved her despite of what she was, most of her sisters could not hope for such a good end. Meeru on the other hand did not want to just sit and watch Ulyssia die, he insisted on healing her even if that would lead to her capturing his magic, the young wizard said he trusted Ulyssia not to use his magic against him. Again Ulyssia was filled with a overwhelming feeling of love for the man who was willing to put his life in her hands to safe her and she agreed to the healing. Meeru worked his magic and the young Mord-Sith's wound closed.

Ulyssia and Meeru continued their relationship, the young Mord-Sith went back to the People's Palace and her wizard lover went with her. Meeru raised a few eyebrows among the other Mord-Sith for one of them to take a lover who where not a pet where...unusual, it was not unheard of and it was not illegal but it was certainly uncommon, but after a while they got used to the young wizard. For two years Ulyssia and Meeru had a relationship together, he rented an apartment in the guest quarters of the palace and she visited him as often as she could. Now life with Meeru was not always easy, there where the general fear of magic in the D'Haran population that created a few incidents but after the wall had gone down some decades earlier more and more magic users had come in from the Midlands so a wizard was not that strange a sight anymore, Meeru did not like what Ulyssia did to other magic users but he accepted what she was but he always got a look of distaste in his eyes if he saw her with a pet, or if she had any drops of blood on her uniform she had forgotten to wash away before coming to him, there was also the problem that Ulyssia had captured Meeru's magic and she had to be careful how to speak with him to not harm him, if she worded something like an order he would be compelled to obey or suffer horribly and she did forget herself a few times something which lead to scream and tears, something Ulyssia for some reason did not like to get from this particular wizard, but though it all there was love, and for those two years life was perfect.

One day however Ulyssia's perfect world fell apart, the empire needed the name of some Midland wizards who where causing some problems around their boarders and Meeru fell under suspicion of at least knowing about them. Ulyssia was ordered to get all the information she could out of her lover. Ulyssia begged Meeru to cooperate but one of the wizards the D'Harans where hunting for was one of his teachers and Meeru refused to betray the man. Ulyssia had no choice, she already had control over Meeru's magic so her lover was helpless against her, she dragged him to her room in the Mord-Sith section of the People's Palace and tortured him. Ulyssia remembers feeling heartbroken as she was forced to betray the man she loved, normally she enjoyed torturing magic users but not this time, each one of his screams was a dagger in her soul, but it had to be done, she had her orders.

Meeru broke eventually, off course he did and he gave up all the information the D'Harans wanted but since he had kept vital information from them Ulyssia got orders to not let him go, but to keep him as a pet until he died. Ulyssia sill loved Meeru but her loyalty and duty to her homeland won out and so she trained him, tortured him and hurt him until very little of the kind young wizard was left. Ulyssia think that part is the hardest of all, after he was broken Meeru remembers very little of his life before it happened, he hardly remember his lover. Sometimes there is recollection in his eyes but most of the time there is just a mass of hurt in them. Ulyssia know Meeru will die soon, there is only so long someone can survive daily torture, but she do try to keep him alive as long as possible as she is not ready to loose him. One day one of her sisters had gotten her hands on the young wizard and Ulyssia found him close to death, the blood around his left ear a clear sign of what the other Mord-Sith had done to him. Ulyssia managed to breathe life back into her lover but she was so afraid she would loose him and she is not sure she could stand to see him die.

Ulyssia have found that sometimes when she tortures Meeru hard enough to completely exhaust him he will fall into a deep, dreamless sleep, at those times he do not whimper, or weep, he just sleeps. Ulyssia likes to at those times dress in the white, silk nightgown he once gave her and just lie next to him looking into his unseeing open eyes and pretend that nothing of the bad things had happened, that Meeru would wake up and not look at her with fear but rather kiss her, that he would not cringe if she put her hand against his cheek but rather give her a warm smile. Ulyssia know it is a strange irony that she tortured Meeru worse to get him so tired and he looks peaceful when he sleeps, just so she can pretend she never had to hurt him, but those moments are all she got. Sometimes Ulyssia dreams of running way with Meeru, perhaps going to the Midlands, perhaps all the way to Aydindril where Meeru had his home in their Wizard's Keep, perhaps then, away from all this Meeru would recover, perhaps he would begin smiling again and most importantly perhaps he would remember Ulyssia as something other than his jailer and tormentor. Ulyssia is terrified of Confessors, they are about the only thing that really scare her and she might encounter some of them in Aydindril, but even facing that fear would be worth it to find a place where Meeru could be free and happy again, Ulyssia however know she can not go, duty to her position and her superiors bind her to D'Hara just as strongly as Meeru's magic binds him to her, so the young Mord-Sith know she will have to hurt the man she loved until he dies from the abuse, and that thought fills Ulyssia with despair.

Anything else: Ulyssia's personality is one of fanatical loyalty, so much of what she was as a child, and what she could have become as an adult was destroyed when she was broken and made into a Mord-Sith. Ulyssia can not even imagine how to go against her superior's orders, she will gladly kill, torture or die if ordered to. Ulyssia is sadistic, she enjoys inflicting pain and she enjoys killing, but she can also show compassion to those she cares about. Ulyssia is a passionate woman who still have the capacity for love but she will betray even a loved on if ordered to, she deeply love Meeru but she have no idea how to help him and continue to hurt him as that is what is expected of her. Ulyssia is intelligent but she have never had the time to devote to scholarly pursuits, she is curious though and if she encounters a mystery she just can not let it go until it is solved, unless she is ordered to ignore it. Ulyssia is friendly in many ways, but her sadism, her fanaticism and the strange ways of one who have been tortured and conditioned since childhood makes her hard to approach for many, also like most of her kind Ulyssia not only likes inflicting pain but she is so used to being in pain that she often grasp her Agiel to feel it's almost comforting touch, she might not like being in pain, but it is so alien for her not to be in pain that she finds that very disconcerting.

Ulyssia own one red, one white and one brown red, skin tight uniforms, she have her Agiel, a simply furnished room in the People's Palace, a small torture chamber next to her bedroom, a hair bush and other things she need for personal grooming, a silver pendant and a white silk nightgown that was given to her by Meeru, a good steel dagger, a pen and some writing paper and a fine, dark brown mare named Blood that she uses when she leaves the palace along with a bedroll, a saddle and saddle bags.

Ulyssia is a vegetarian, she do not eat meat unless she absolutely have to in order to survive and not starve, she do eat eggs and drink milk though.

Thank you. I do not use the hiders much but I can certainly try to remember that if I join another of your games at some time i the future. :)

Also, while he's a War Wizard and has a sword, I don't want him to be seeker at all, unless I get stuck with the role.

Personality: She is very kind and personable, but rather quiet due to not socializing very much, instead preferring to read or take walks. Ellynara is very clever and intelligent for her age, but also a tad naive. She gets along with almost anybody unless they're just utterly rude.

History: Ellynara was born a year after Richard Rhal sent away the Imperial Order. Her mother being Nicci one of the most powerful sorceress to ever draw breath. Elly is the splitting image of her mother not only in beauty but also in ability. Being so young, however, she still has a lot to learn about her abilities. She was born with both Additive and Subtractive, but only has a basic understanding of both (Additive being higher). Still she is clever and learns quickly.

Elly has been taught by many teachers in D'Hara and Aydindril, both sisters and wizards. Very few, of course, can teach her about her Subtractive magic. At the age of 12 she began traveling back and forth between the two cities every now and then to learn as much about her powers as she can and has only recently began to grasp the extent of her powers. She has come a long way in only two years and is often found reading books on magic or theories.

Thanks to Richard her life has been pretty uneventful, although, some people are still a bit leery about subtractive magic, which she is grateful for. And cherishes every day she lives and learns new things.
