Luxumbrae Academy (Fantasy)
Docendo Discimus. Peering at the wrought iron gates--just tall enough to prevent anybody from climbing over--through the rain, you can just barely make out these words of a foreign tongue. You are a new student to Luxumbrae Academy.
Anyone interested in a fantasy academy-based RP? It would be set in modern times and no powers. But--the school would be sort of Victorian, I guess. Basically it looks like a school for rich, smart kids--and mostly, it is, except: You can't just send your kid here. The Headmaster/mistress and the staff sort through all the profiles of the kids who fit their requirements and pick out the cream of the crop. At the end of the year, though, a secret ritual is held. A group of the certain students are selected to be a part of this ritual. On a dark, stormy day, they're lead up to the top of a tower invisible to everyone but the school board and the selected students. They can choose to jump into a Gateway that holds many secrets, or have the last few hours erased from their memories and instead replaced with a false memory. If they choose to jump..

They enter a parallel world full of demons trying to escape to the 'real' world through the Gateway. The one at their school is one of 3 Gateways in the entire world. Of the 3, only this one is left to be sealed. They have to train to become warrior-mages to seal the Gateway and prevent the demons from escaping.
Interested? I have an AWESOME intro for the IC. Written in second person. It would have been used for this interest check.. but then I would've been typing until the sun rises.

BTW. Changed my mind- no powers for the kids. They might learn a spell or 2, but no actual powers like mind reading and stuff. (maybe telepathy.. Hmm)
