Mass Effect - Time of War [Large-scale]
Background
The Reapers have been stopped, Earth has been saved and the galactic community, for all intents and purposes, has recovered. For a time there was peace, peace that allowed everyone to rebuild what was lost. Tensions, both new and old, have begun to rise once again however. For withholding information regarding Prothean technology, the Asari are frowned upon and excluded from several developments in technology. Batarian refugees, with no other place to go, have begun to claim territory in human space, resulting in skirmishes with Alliance forces that risk evolving into full-scale war. Krogan colonists are hindered by Salarian black operations and political maneuvers and the Turians are plagued with internal disputes and civil war.
Characters / Concept
Characters will assume control of military forces and will gradually begin to play a major role in your faction on and off the battlefield. You'll will need to adapt to changing conditions; supply lines, weather, morale, ammunition, pirates, politics. War is never simple and Time of War isn't black and white. Alliances and deals must be made between factions, bases and garrisons need to be established, worlds need to be explored, personnel and vehicles must be acquired.
You are at the forefront of all this. You may have just made a deal with the Salarians to improve your technology, but for doing it behind the back of the Turians, you've now risked a new war. Your people are starving and the humans have just discovered a garden world that'd be ideal for farming, but they refuse to cooperate. Still though, food is in high demand and riots are breaking out on every world. Do you risk a third war?
