Yeah, I'm not surprised. It would take a very particular person to be able to play them a lot for a long time. It's not so much that they're bad or anything, just that the games don't tend to be as captivating as other genres. I dunno.
Okay. Shows how ignorant I am about strategy games, I can't even get the type right. I just refer to all strategy games, even turn based ones, as RTS because I'm bad at life.
A Spamplay is happening of Civilization IV. Beyond the Sword. I am starting now.
I have Civ 3. Still love it.

Just got Gods and Kings. Something just feels delicious about being Carthage, adopting Zoroastrianism, and going on to rule the world in my steampunk naval empire, with my biggest allies being Russia and Byzantium. Speaking of, LITERALLY groomed Russia to be my perfect ally on the other side of the world. They had a shit start, were in the ancient era when I was being all "OH LOOK, AIRSHIPS WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE". Several thousand million monies donated later, they were a perfect pet, when I was locked in struggles with France, England, and Persia.
