UN Cosmo Navy [Far East Sector Fleet] March - The Galactic Pilot

The UN Cosmo Navy's remaining combined fleet, 40 capital ships strong, approached the 'coast' of Pluto. Immediately the mysterious enemy approached from the edge of the Heliosphere, coming in swarms of smaller, more agile ships.

"Earth Fleet, we advise you to surrender immediately." The message came through comms to the flagship, battleship Amagi, commanded by Admiral Kodai.

His comms officer turned to him and paused. "Sir, how shall we respond?" Kodai paused and then: "Tell them...they're idiots!" The radioman went wide-eyed. "!?"
"I said idiots!" Kodai repeated impatiently.


"This is the Earth flagship Amagi. Our answer: 'Idiots!' Over." The radioman nervously related the message to the enemy.

Immediately the enemy ships turned their gun turrets to face the UN Fleet. Firing the first salvoes, they destroyed the EDF McKinley and Kinugasa.

Admiral Kodai coolly ordered the fleet into evasive maneuvers. "General quarters. All ships, independent evasive action. Surround the enemy and isolate them if you can. Only fire if you have a clear shot."

The orders came in from the Amagi.

"Captain Macarthur," Said a pleasant female voice with a slight southern accent. It came through the ships comm. "We've received orders to attack the incoming enemy fleet."

"Alrighty then!" Macarthur replied. He'd been the captain aboard Ecthelion for all of two weeks, but already felt like the ship was his home. He was growing quite fond of Illia as well. "All hands! Battle stations!" He bellowed over the comm. Across the ship, the crew jumped to action, support crew moving to ready the ship for combat, pilots scrambling to their ships. All the while, Illia steered the Ecthelion into the battle, analyzing the flight plans of the other ships, plotting coordinates.

"Captain, I recommend ordering all ships to launch and focus on this point." On the console infront of him, a 3D map of the battle sprung up, with a nav point on the far edge of the battle. As he watched, the enemy ships seemed to be moving in that direction. "Launch now, deploy the fighters there to keep the main fleet from slipping the flank. The Ecthelion will wait here," Another nav point appeared, just outside of the direct battle, but with a clear line on the first nav point. "We wait for them to come into range, then fire the main guns." Illia said over the comm to Macarthur.

"I like it." He said. "All fighters! Scramble!" He ordered shipwide. "Coordinates incoming!"

Moments later the fighters were screaming out of the hanger bays, and the Ecthelion was on course to the ambush point.

Hearing Admiral Kodai, Commander Armageddon looked at the tactical screen the enemy fleet was composed of several small space craft this wasn't the typical thing that his ship was designed to go against but it was still a extremely effective due to massive fire power. "Bring about the port guns to the enemy, ready the fighters and attack craft I want each boarding ship to carry a nuke all craft are to stay out of the direct firing lines of in between our and the enemies ships, and bring us around to the south of this mess so that we hit them from a less protected angle."

"Targeting complete, main guns locked on. Ready to fire."

Admiral Kodai nodded. "Open all gunports. ...Fire!" The main battery lasers of Amagi charged briefly, and then unleashed bright neon blue beams, tearing into a couple enemy ships and shredding them.
