So, I like aliens.

I recently had a Marvel Heroes Movie Marathon and was inspired. I'm not sure how it's related to my idea, but I had the idea during the marathon, so I'm pretty sure Spider-Man had something to do with it. Not for sure. Anyway, I like sci-fi and I grew up reading Animorphs and watching Star Wars and some Star Trek. Recently, Stargate and Doctor Who, playing EVE online, and that's about the extent of my sci-fi exposure. I love it though, especially the techie stuff that I don't understand XD

Anyway, I wanted to do a sci-fi RP but wasn't quite sure what to do. I like the outer-space aliens theme, but wasn't sure how to incorporate it. I was gonna post the idea in the Interest checks but I'm not ready to make it, I just wanna talk about it without having people expect me to DO something right away. I'm too busy at the moment.

So this is the basic premise I came up with: Area 51, top-secret government base surrounded with conspiracy theories. Is it a weapons-testing facility, or is it a center for study of the extraterrestrial? Turns out to be the latter, and something escaped from there. Something not from Earth, not even from the Milky Way galaxy, and now there's a mad hunt for it going on and for some reason it's a matter that must remain secret at all costs.

But this thing, this person from another world whose appearance is quite strange and is--in every sense of the word--alien, made contact. Not with the agencies hunting it, but with a normal human with a normal life. A human oblivious to what lies beyond the stars. A human kind and curious enough to try and help the refugee escape government grasp and--possibly--find a way home.

Not quite E.T. but I just realized it's kind of similar. Not really. Anyway, that's the idea. I'll put it in the Interest Check sometime. The idea will change and adapt according to what my brain thinks is most logical, and most fun and interesting, but I'm so bored I just want to say something. So, ya, thanks for bein' here Spam because I'm really bored right now. I think I'll name the alien Clarence.

This has some kind of District 9/E.T. vibe going on... I like it!:cool:

Eh, I just needed to talk about it :P I designed the alien myself, so of course that means I'll have to draw it XD Just too busy to do it right now, but I think it'd be fun. I'm kinda bored of the aliens that come to dominate the world and destroy humanity. This would be something seemingly smaller, and a lot of it would be (I hope) experiencing normal things through a different perspective. Haven't figured out if it can talk yet, but it'd got to communicate somehow. It would be too cliche if they just spoke English like in Star Trek.

You could always have it unable to speak but learn quickly? Being around humans enough it could learn basic English/whatever language is being spoken.

Probably the thing had been experimented on in *cough* Area 51 *cough* it could have not been able to speak "human" before, but picked it up there. Still trying to come up with a backstory for it, because crash landing also seems too cliche to me. (I try to avoid cliches as much as possible, it's like a phobia or something XD ) There might be another one too, that didn't escape, and so then we'd be mounting a rescue mission too and that could be very interesting.
Yah, breaking into a top-secret government base to steal a captive space-alien with the help of another alien, what could possibly go wrong?

What about... On an expidition, astronauts found a sealed vessel with the alien inside and brought it to earth? It was then sent to Area 50+1 where they studied it and managed to bring the alien out of an induced coma. If they experiment/study it further it'd have the chance to learn to speak.

Possibly it was a capsule drifting in space, jettisoned from somewhere far away and drifting for years while the occupants were in stasis. Maybe they happened to be drawn to the Moon's gravitational field and landed there, then were discovered later and retrieved...
