Group Post-Apocalyptic RP

BRIEF PLOT/STORY

As the world once thrived with over seven billion people across the globe, that number has drastically dropped to a mere twenty-five million people worldwide. The world as we once knew it now lies in shambles and everywhere you go, every city looks the same. They are run-down and broken, looking more like ruins than the magnificent metropolises they once were. Moss, shrubs, dirt, and dust gather all over the cities, states, countries, and continents of the world.

As one of the last few survivors of the world, you are trying to survive and to be able to live and prosper. Trying to find a new way of life is hard, especially with the savages living throughout the land too. The reasoning behind the population decline is that people have turned into monsters. It came with a vaccine that was meant to help turn the sick into the healthy, but instead it was turning the sick even sicker. It changed the way people acted, causing them to become mean, angry, and short-tempered. It caused them to lose their hair, and soon enough their sanity. Those infected have become vampric monsters known as the 'Lusted', only coming out at night to kill and feast on whomever is still with the living. Night is not the only time people need to watch out though. There are some of the people who have not changed that are just as crazed and dangerous as the Lusted. They have destroyed homes, groups of people trying to thrive so they could live strongly on their own. Those bandits rage throughout the world causing chaos and havoc.

So basically we're trying to live in a post-apocalyptic world. Think... I Am Legend if you need something to go off on. That's where I got the idea from anyways. Our characters would be a group trying to live together and survive. It would be a small group. I'm looking for about four or five others, nothing too crazy. The themes would be depending on our group. But I would like it to be more than PG of course.

If you're looking for something in the Action/Adventure, Thriller, Horror, Survival, and even Romance, come, join in and let's have some fun?

I would prefer if it was focused on the crazed people in the day but nevertheless I'm interested.

I have some interest :3 If we can get this off the ground it might be fun!

I was thinking crazed people too, but then the idea of zombies kinda popped into my head too. But we can toats do just crazed people and leave out the eatin' guys.

We could always go for a combination? Figure some people were mutated due to... Well, whatever we deem the cause to be, that'd leave us with enemy creativity. Plus it might be neat to see what is worse, your fellow man or the abominations that walk the earth now. (My money is on man.)

I don't know if you've seen it but a PS3 game is coming out later this year called 'The Last of us' I was hoping for something like that but with original characters? if you haven't seen it go and check out the Gameplay trailer it looks amazing and has such a good feel to it. It would be I am legend but with thugs around who are scrounging for what they can find ect. we will have to dodge them or try and even become the hunters to get stuff ourselves (Which could lead to some cool character contrasts)

I also think for this to work we should keep it quite small, like 5 people at the most in a perfect world probably 4 (You wouldn't get much larger groups in this setting anyway) and we need some kind of targets or goals to achieve. Going from one side of the city to the next to check if an old radio station is still operational is alright but it gets boring after the theater, shopping mall and garage ect.

^ All of this. A small group makes more sense, and it'd probably mean a bit faster pacing for the roleplay as well. We could always follow the role of another game coming out, "State of Decay", and try to establish our own society by gathering survivors. It's a possibility to consider, might add a bit more in the roleplay aside from just scrounging building to building.

That's a possibility yeah, seems more of a passive thing though really, as we go on we find more people hopefully in an effort to rebuild but we need more people and more experience with the lay of the land ect first. More of a final arc type thing to my mind but it would work.

So I suggest (Of course this is up to you Dahmun) that we have 4 people, each of which brings something to the table for our group but also lacks in some area, be it friendliness or intelligence ect. To make us rely on each other more.

It seems you and I Blight may have more ideas than needed xD

The things you guys are talking about are what I was exactly thinking haha. A group of four or five is all I want too. A small, tight-knit group who of course bring something else to the table is again what I had in mind. Hopefully after one or two more interest we can get started.

@Ever: I was adding monsters because it does give us that extra fun part of dodging things at night too.
