He was anxious.
There was nothing else to it, he did not want to marry her. But his parent wanted to put more of their influence in the United States and so he was sacrificed to their greed and so her would do his duty as a son. That was why he learned English to the point it became as natural for him to speak it as it was to speak Japanese. That was why he kept his various boyfriends discrete and hidden from view as he longed for them, only to dump them when he became too attached to let them go.
He had to let them go.
He was safe with Vincent, though. There was no way he would ever love such a crude man, would he? No, impossible, he thought, as he looked upon his crass companion, the cousin of his future wife.
The ride in the private jet was smooth and comfortable in sharp contrast to the heavy atmosphere it contained. That was not meant to last however and soon a strong disturbance came from a strong gale of wind and knocked the whole plane off it's trajectory and spinning out of control.
They were crashing, he knew, and so did Vincent as the fool protected him with his own body as the crashed into the ocean, a last ditch effort of the pilot softening their landing somehow.
But not enough to spare Nao's two companions.
He blacked out, miraculously drifting on the wave of the pacific instead of sinking in it's depths. He floated on, finally ending up on a white beach of an uncharted tiny tropical paradise as his unconscious body was found by a strange tribe unknown to the rest of the civilization.
