WELCOME TO THE GUILD
MONSTER HUNTER RP
Setting of the land and town:
March 5th
Dawn has come to the mountain region yet again. The sun is rising making the cover of darkness vanish. An abandoned black
fortress that towers up to the sky lays dormant as if the
Fatalis' nesting ground was something straight out of a child's dream. The mountainside was mostly green Vegetation and a few open fields. The fields were from the small river running down the side of the mountain still semi warm from the hot geisers. The weather was sunny not even a cloud could be seen and the
velociprey and
jaggi are off having territory battles over which carnivore got the newly found land first. A small
shakalaka wearing a pumpkin helmet wanders up the stream away from the fighting small creatures. The shakalaka freezes running into a wall like barricade made of timber clearly a fence to a local human settlement.
Behind the walls, a mountain town named Amagi rested near a hot spring. The right side of the town was vast with a huge farm managed by different cats aiding the town in exchange for felvin and living quarters. The meeting hall had a questing board up against it showing the local requests from various town folks and some strangers taking refuge at the local Tavern and inn. A local economy resident sat inside the gate reading notes on Jaggi and standing up writing on the small board behind him, "Prey breeding today...careful of the ambushing groups of 5 to 6 jaggi or velociprey. Suggest asking for escorts along the stream path.
Inside the Tavern, a group of hunters laugh and drink at one of the four tables. The Guild Sweetheart sits behind her desk as usual with a list of quests on a clipboard in front of her. They were clearly copies of the hanging ones from the board inside the tavern and outside in the town. She sits balancing out her cash draw waiting for the next hunter to come aid the guild in their usual tracks of maintaining and approving of hunts in exchange for some resources and a registration fee for the quest. Unlike the villager requests guild ones seem to want to make some income instead of just aiding for the common good some quests are even approved from wealthy royals who wish to just have a pet
Plesioth. A hot spring was actually inside the tavern surrounded by a fence and monitored by cats. A cat inside is dressed in a towel and hands out drinks off the tavern menu for a price to help hunter's relax and gain courage to handle the vigorous quests outside.
The village chief's house seemed almost upper class unlike most villages. The chief's wife was sitting around outside on the wooden porch in a rocking chair as she knitted watching the rising sun as she always was. The Chief was busy as usual working on random tech of the Ballista. Everyone knew the chief was paranoid man afraid of all wyverns since seeing Jhen Morgan for the first time a few years back. His daughter Aikoma was sitting on the side of the porch as she washes and shines her grandfather's pink rathian daggers.
---------------------------
Aikoma yawned as she stood up off the porch and walked up to a window of the hutt directly across from her house. She smiled a bit as she knocked on the side popping her head in slightly hoping to see Crys, "Hey Crys you up?...my father approved of me coming to train with you again today as long as we don't go after a los as usual....he is still paranoid about the injuries from last time." She touched her back a bit remembering her going out with Crys months back and being tossed into a trunk of a tree by the Rathalos' head. She knew it was her fault for her injuries but in her mind it was helping distract it while broken armed Crys took it down. She shook her head as she waited not seeing him and goes back to sitting down near her mother. "So you going to see that boy your father and you keep speaking of or are you actually going to try and handle a smaller quest yourself without your bodyguard." Aikoma looked over to her mom as she turned red and muttered under her breath, "Why do you think father let's me hang out with him because he knows I will just go out myself to try and help....if you would let me have proper training at a school I would not need to have Crys protecting me constant."
Her mother just laughed slightly knowing Aikoma didn't want to go to a school but that her daughter was right. If this town did not get an academy soon, only a few people in the town would be able to go out at a time with the hunters completely cutting themselves off from trade in the next few months to come. The monsters all seem to be migrating up the mountain for some reason as if something was coming that threatened their own territories at the base of the mountain.
