Atilansa is made up of one large continent, named Jakura, and one large island, named Harde, with numerous smaller islands around them.
Jakura is a mostly hilly and mountainous continent with plains mostly in the norther part of the continent.
Names of the mountain ranges (brown and nearby yellow areas on the map) from south to north on Jakura: Argana, Ilani, Torako, Kap, Lenis, Tane, Kallu, Sall, Unel, Origahi, Yi, Oin.
The low peaks of Harde are named Arano.
The peninsulas, larger island groups and larger islands of Harde are (from north to south): Izuki, Garin, Yorte, Letha, Panos,Takuni, Yema, Yima, Yulis, Inali, Suni, Taken.

The subcontinents and land bridges of Jakura (in a clockwise direction from Inu peninsula are): Uno, Lin Land Bridge, Taranu, Seikanu Land Bridge, Elgame, Talion, Argana, Talaku, Nasani Land Bridge, Serrin Land Bridge, Filit Land Bridge.
Ikuniso < Forbidden Isle> is a small island group which serves as a penalty colony. It's heavily guarded by the military.
The seas are: Artia <Frozen> sea - between Artia Island and Jakura. Inalugai <Drawn in> sea - between Seikanu, Filit, Serrin, Elgame and the rest of Jakura. The world of Atilansa is a single gigantic state split into regions governed by clans.
The citizens of this gigantic country, simply called Darcim <short for Daraco Ympire - Empire of Dragons> in public always cover their face above the mouth, usually by a mask or sometimes (a informal method which expresses trust) with a hood. Showing a face in private (with lovers or close friends) is considered a taboo theme in conversations.
Why you might ask?
Because of magic and belief, a uncovered face will make easy for a mage (AKA almost everyone in this world) to use magic on the person. A mask/hood greatly limits magic attacks against the person, disabling homing, lock-on and mind-attacking magic. Also trough a uncovered face one's soul can be taken away using magic.
As the a Atilansian saying goes: "The face is the reflection of one's soul. To reveal one's face is to reveal one's soul."
The political organizations of Atilansa are called clans. Each clan has a animal or animals which it uses on it's masks to express one's allegiance, the hidden symbols on each mask points to one's position and magical abilities. The strongest clan is the Dragon Clan.
The large clans which control regions are: Norther and Southern Sharks, Whales, West and East Deers, Lizards, Northern and Southern Wolves, Insect, Amphibians, West and East Bears, North and South Foxes, North and South Birds and Dragons.
There are multiple smaller clans and sub-clans which are allied or neutral towards the larger clans.
For centuries the clan of the Sharks lived in peace and prosperity, without any influence from the continent. But during the Dragon Wars their land was ravaged when the oldest son of the Sharks head pledged allegiance to the Dragons. A brutal war engulfed the once peaceful communities for many years until the Dragon Clan sent a force to end the war once and for all. To their ally, the son of the old head they given the southern, richer, part of the country while the head and the rest of the higher clan members which were disloyal to the Dragons were banished in the undeveloped and rainy northern part of the country. This was how the clans split and this stands up until today. While the Norther Shark clan is allied with the Fox clans the Southern Shark clan is allied with the Dragon clan. The Whales
A peaceful clan living on Artia. They negotiated with the Dragon clans and avoided the fate of many other countries which choose to fight the Dragon clan. Deers
Once a powerful military nation now just one of the clans which was heavily punished for standing against the Dragons. To avoid the clan to build powerful weapons the last head and all of it's descendants were brutally murdered and the land was split, so one area has iron but little wood and the other has much wood but no iron, between two aristocratic families which hated each other. Today many great cities of pass stand in ruin. Lizards
Although the Lizars did fight against the Dragons, unlike Deers they decided to lay down their arms. Wolfs
Wolfs claimed neutrality during all but the last of the Dragon Wars, when they pledged loyalty to the Dragons. Instead of fighting during the Dragon Wars they populated the land south of their homeland and, but only for easier governance, split in two clans. The Northern and Southern Wolfs are still heavily connected by the same clan religion which worships the Goddess of Snow and Ice. Insect and Amphibians
Like Lizards the Insects and Amphibians fought until the point when defeat was imminent and then surrendered. Bears
Once the mightiest of all country, controlling much of what is now territory of the Bird and North Fox clan the Bears were brought to their knees during the Second and Third Dragon War. Now they are almost fully enclosed by long-term allies of the Dragons and split in two clans, the West one under the rule of a family which descends from a traitorous general which allowed the Dragons to bypass the old defensive positions in the south and the East under the rule of the descendants of the original head. The enemies of the Dragons in First Dragon War which suffered terrible defeat on the Gergani Field from the Fox Army and had to surrender all lands south and west of Lenis and Tane as well as the Horan peninsula. After a 4 years civil war they became allies of the Dragons while the old head family escaped north and formed the Northern Bird clan. During the wars which followed the Southern Bird clan proven worthy of trust and was given a large portion of the former Bear territory. The Northern Birds negotiated with the Dragons and fallen under imperial rule without blood. Foxes
The second most powerful clan and the ally of the Dragon clan from the start of the Dragon Wars. After gaining much territory of what was once the western reaches of the Bear clan a branch family was created and formed the core of what is today the North Fox clan. Much is unknown about the reason of the Foxes alliance with the Dragons as well as why the borders of the Southern Fox clan are almost impossible to enter. Also the two Fox clans, especially the Southern, provide many Utis <Rulers>. Dragons
The most powerful clan which unified under the rule of the Emperor Aguris I. in 57 B.I. and which lead six great wars, known as the Dragon Wars, to establish a imperial rule over all Atilansa. Those wars were: First DW, against the Birds, Second and Third DW against the Bears, Fourth DW to crush resistance in Harde. Fifth DW, which counquered the clans of Insects, Amphibians and Lizards and the Sixth DW which crushed the Deer clan. Two years after the end of the Sixth DW Aguris I., aged 71 proclaimed the creation of the Daraco Ympire and marked the beginning of the Imperial Calendar.
Recently there have been rumors of a rebellion movement which wishes to cause a change in the way of life in Darcim. Increased sabotage and assassinations might be indications of a real rebellion, but it's to early to make a conclusion.
Atilansa is a oceanic world, with lot's of rain and small differences between temperatures during the year. There are no deserts and the only areas where it snows outside winter are Artia and Ikuniso. Houses variate depending on climate and rainfalls. Wood is the dominant material outside of the Dragon clan territory.
The people of Atilansa are active during both the day and night, usually sleeping from 4 to 12 am. Tradition and social status is important in Darcim.

"Narisu!" A formal way of addressing someone superior to your position. "Denisu!" A formal way of addressing someone inferior to your position. "Inisu!" A formal way of addressing someone on the same position as you.
Never show your face to strangers.
The day is made of four periods, from 12 pm to 6 am is the Uqi <Water> period, 6 am to 12 am is Tare <Earth> period, 12 am to 6 pm is Iru <Fire> period and 6 pm to 12 pm is Bari <Air/Wind> period.
It's good luck to see the sunset and dawn without a rest between them. The opposite is bad luck.
The face is the reflection of one's soul.
Never cross stagnant water between 12 pm and 6 am, it will bring you a respiratory system disease.
Never light a fire between 12 am and 6 pm. It will result with your house taking fire.
Hearing a night-sparrow before dawn is good luck. Hearing it after dawn is a sing of incoming death in your vicinity.

The main religion of the people of Darcim is similar to Japanese Shinto/Kami-no-Michi, with the Goddess of Moon, God of Space and Goddess of Sun as the main gods.
The official religion of Darcim is the Draconisam which states that the Dragon clan's elder families are descendants of Dragons.
There are many clan, regional and local religions which are practiced in private. Followers of those religions don't have the right to gather or build places of worship.
More then 99% of the population has the ability to learn some magic. Some more, some less. All magic is divided into four ways: Way of Speech - where the magic is spoken, Way of Letters - where the magic is written, Way of Circles - where magic circles are used and the Way of Soul - where nothing but emotions are used.
Most mages can use the first three to a certain extend.
Less then one mage in a million can use the Way of Soul.
All magic has a element alignment. Some of those elements are:
Fire, Air, Water, Earth, Metal, Ice, Mind, Devine, Life, Darkness, Light ...
Personal power. Each person born on Atilinsa has a special power. The trigger for the power might be anything form mud to blood or a certain situation or emotion. The special power can be anything, but some elder clan families have certain traits (like for power-based powers or wildlife-based powers).
