{You trying to test me once again} Cyborg 009 {But I ain't gonna play your game}

The Plot:

At a time in the future after the reign of Black Ghost has long since ended and the original victims to their nefarious plot have moved on and grown up, things seem normal enough. However, evil is stirring in the shadows, banding together to wreak havoc upon the world.

Little does anyone know, this evil is the spawn that's going to give birth to Black Ghost anew.

In nine different countries, nine families are devastated by the loss of their loved ones to death. They attend their funerals then leave them to rest in peace until they can, one day, join them in eternal bliss. But this is not meant to be; the same night of the funerals, the bodies are exhumed and disappear without a trace.

They are taken to a laboratory where they are then modified and reanimated to serve the organization known as Black Ghost in their plan to take over all the countries, not just the one they live in.

Who will you fight for? Will you stay with Black Ghost or will you fight for your freedom? Most of all, will all of your efforts be for naught? That's for you and your comrades to decide. Best of luck to all of you.

The list of characters and their powers:

001 - Jason Triden - He has enhanced brain gives him/her several psychic powers, such as telepathy, telekinesis, and extra-sensory perception. Played by Professor Nemo.

002 - Sylus Lugosi - He has boosters built into his feet, allowing him to fly at speeds of up to Mach 5. He is also equipped with an earlier, less powerful acceleration mode, later refined in 009. Played by Larka.

003 - Viktoria Nordström - She has enhanced vision and hearing, allowing her to see through walls and sense objects an enormous distance away. On top of this she can also throw or shoot anything with a pinpoint accuracy, only however given a brief moment to line up the shot. She is also an excellent pilot, tactician and a machine whiz. Played by Bumblebee848.

004 - Nikinu Dobunaba - The extent of her injuries caused her to receive the most extensive cyborg modifications: the fingertips on her right hand conceal machine gun barrels, her left hand has razor-sharp edges, and she has missiles hidden in her knees. Played by Bumblebee848.

005 - Alicia Ann Meyers - Physically, she is the strongest as well as the biggest of the 00 Cyborgs; she also has heavily armored skin. Played by Futaneko0200.

006 - Kye Ludwig - Her power allows her to breathe huge flames which she uses to create tunnels in the earth and attack enemies with underground explosions. Played by Purplez.

007 - Bartholomew Florence Jay - 007 has the incredible ability to reshape his cellular structure at will, allowing him to take form of any object, creature, or person he wishes. With his superb acting skills, he can also blend in with the enemy to use sneaky maneuvers and attacks. Played by Desertrat.

008 - Bahiti Halima - She has mechanical lungs that allow her to survive for extremely long periods of time underwater. She is also capable of using extendable limbs and torse that are useful when fighting underwater or on land. Played by Futaneko0200.

009 - Yosuke Konno - He is super-humanly strong, resistant to damage, can leap large distances, and can breathe underwater. His most prominent ability is the power to move at a speed so fast that everything else looks like a statue to him, this is triggered by a switch embedded in his teeth. However, he cannot touch any normal creatures such as humans in this state; the high speeds would kill or otherwise cause serious injury to the creature through air friction. Played by Haikufrenzy.

The Rules:

Pretty standard stuff. You know, respect each other, have fun, follow the site rules, etc. Haikufrenzy is my co-GM so if I'm not around, he can answer any questions you may have.

To set things up, I'll make the first post, which is going to be set after 001 (Jason), 003 (Viktoria), 008 (Bahiti) and 009 (Yosuke) have made their escape from Black Ghost's facility. For you four, the setting is going to be an overgrown forest. For the remaining five, they will be at Black Ghost's facility, where the breakout of the other four will be discussed.

The Briefing:

The sound of footsteps echoed in the eerie halls that almost looked reminiscent of a hospital, blank and white as can be. This was anything but a hospital, however, and housed an organization shrouded in mystery known as Black Ghost.

The source of the footsteps was a young looking man with ruffled hair as pale as the walls themselves, with strange light blue streaks throughout it. His eyes were an unearthly light purple that appeared almost merciful though the light smirk that graced his features hid a certain evil behind it.

He made his way down a long corridor, pausing once to look back as he heard a bark. "Yuki..." he called softly, kneeling down as a sheer white dog trotted up to him. He spent a few moments stroking the dog's fur while staring into her bright, piercing blue eyes. Finally he got back to his feet and continued down the hall, turning to the right at the end of it with the dog remaining close at his heels.

He opened a door and slipped into it, glancing up into the waiting faces of five very different people. "Good evening Cyborgs," he said in his silky smooth voice as his dog plopped down on her haunches next to him.

"My name is Vail Asema and I'm here to discuss something very important with you," he started gravely. "Earlier today there was a breach in security and four highly dangerous people escaped from our facilities. Now they are out there somewhere, doing who knows what."

"What does this have to do with us?" called a man with red streaked brown hair and hardened features.

"Calm down, 002. This has everything to do with all of you. You see, it's your job to hunt them down and bring them back here. If they resist, do not hesitate to use deadly force but kill them only if necessary," the man said, a fiendish smirk spreading over his features.

"Now go," he ordered with a dismissive wave of his hand.

The Aftermath of the Escape:

The dark night kept an already thick woods even more easy to get lost in, or easy to hide in. As the four some ran through the forest grounds, yellow scarves flowing behind all of them. Leading the charge was Yosuke Konno, or 009 as he has been called with no relenting for however long its been. He kept going, no sign of fatigue or tiring in him, but hearing the others starting to huff and wheeze he finally slowed down to a stop, gesturing to the others to do likewise. “Alright we should be out far enough to be out of their sights for the night at least.” He stated, relatively sure of it but not completely. He couldn’t see the very base they had just gotten away from. Then again with the trees practically covering the night sky it wasn’t like he could see much of anything. In the meantime he began thinking about what to do for the night, the first thought to building a fire for warmth. Possibly some kind of bedding too.

BAHITI

Bahiti Halima, or as she was known in the labs, 008. It was a designation, something that stripped her of her identity, the identity before her death. However this identity now was not much to go with, just years of testing and simulated ops missions with her team. But now here they were, on a real mission, not for the organization that made her, but one for her life. It wasn't likely she would get away without resistance, but they were safe for the moment. Currently, Bahiti was on the top of a tree, looking for signs of anyone following. She had been up there for a good 30 minutes, looking, and decided that if anyone was following they would have been on them by now. She hopped down from the tree, hand hooking to a close by branch, and lowered herself with her extendo arms, or at least that's what she called them. She dropped the last 10 feet with a soft thud on the ground beneath her. She reeled in her left arm.

She was looking at her team, consisting of three others. She sat in front of the warm fire shoving her hands in the pockets of her Jacket. She looked up to the others "Well does anyone have a plan?" She asked to anyone in hearing distance of the fire. She certainly didn't have an idea on how to run from an organization, advanced enough to bring them back to life, as well as give each of them the gifts they each had.

ALICIA

Alicia, the tallest of the group at a good 6'10" Stood in the briefing room, awaiting a certain person who was to brief her and the rest of the team. She heard rumors of certain things, and while this situation as it was made her think, she would not say anything until she got a full story. It wasn't long before a white haired man and his dog came in. He introduced himself, and gave them all the reason why they were here. The whole thing seemed off to her. But for now she would keep quiet and follow her orders. It was simple, to bring back the four dangerous escapees. However one thing she needed to know before they should even consider going after some dangerous foes "What information is there on these dangerous people, and is there anything we should be careful of?". Her voice, while calm, had a certain presence that could intimidate the weak of will and spirit.

Viktoria

Breathing quietly, Viktoria, otherwise known as 003, stared out into the forest. Whilst her companions saw only darkness and dense forestry, however, she saw...everything. Explosions of color as the full moon's light glinted off miscellaneous surfaces, a mouse scampering into it's hole, a plant curling up against the cold of the night. She could hear the sounds of a bird rustling in its nest as it brought warmth to its newly hatched chicks, and the beating wings of the mosquitos at a stream several roughly two kilometers away, something she should take note of. She could see and hear everything all at once, yet she tuned it all out, as she was on the lookout for only one thing: Black Ghost soldiers. Thankfully, there were none so far, but she remained alert and antsy. Though she was worn out and physically run down, she was reluctant to let her guard down for even a second.
As Bahiti dropped to the ground from her own watch post, Viktoria sighed, bringing a hand up to touch the trunk of a tree lightly, running her fingers over the rough bark. Back in Sweden, there had never been any trees like these...back in Sweden, things had been simple, at least for a while. Now Viktoria didn't know what to think, or what to do. Turning, she made her way over to the fire, taking a seat beside the other girl.
"009's right. As much as I hate to do it, we need to rest up. Keeping our bodies healthy, though they may be enhanced, is just as important as keeping our minds alert, and our souls alive. Having the will to escape means nothing when you don't have the strength to act on it." Though she had since become fluent in English, Viktoria's words still held a distinct accent, causing her tone to be short and clipped, and her words a bit odd. "We'll rest here for the night, I suppose. I can take first watch while the rest of you sleep. I can wake someone else in a few hours."

Nikinu

Nikinu stood quietly in a corner of the room, with her arms crossed. She gazed coldly around the room, looking at all of her teammates at once, without seeing a single one of them. Quite honestly, she could care less about what they were here for, and she didn't feel the need to socialize or ask questions.
When Vail walked into the room, her eyes flicked up briefly to catch his cool gaze, before she sent a wary glance at his dog. There was something about this man that rubbed her the wrong way, made her want to punch him in the face. He was her superior, and she would therefore listen to and follow his orders, whether she liked it or not. What else was there for her to do? To the rest of the world, she was dead.
As Alicia spoke up, Niki nodded with a quiet click of her tongue, and pushed off against the wall on which she had been leaning. Finally relenting, she took her place among her teammates, standing across from Alicia, she bit her tongue to prevent any sardonic comments from escaping, and waited for the questions to be answered.

Putting the final touches on the fire, some assorted dry branches and leaves that had fallen. Yosuke mentally was so thankful for the mountain rescue training really providing a use. It was all fairly simple, using two rocks as a means of flint to create a spark that can catch fire. Making sure it would be both big enough to last the night without being too big that it would catch the wrong attention... or setting the forest on fire. Finally slumping down next to Bahiti with a grunt from all the work and effort finally putting some strain on him. Yosuke glanced back up at Viktoria and back over to both Bahiti and the young boy Jason who was also with them. "Well first things first it would probably be wise to try to find a nearby town or preferably city at sunrise. There we can get rid of these stupid uniforms, get some more normal looking gear, and try to blend in as much as possible. Then I think it might be about playing things by ear until we can figure out where to go." Yosuke has had plenty of time to come up with a plan for it all. Starting with the building, exploring and studying the structure as best as possible. Assigning positions and assignments for the other three.

It all worked of course, but now came what he knew was truly the hard part, its one thing to get away from your captures, its another entirely to stay away from them. Especially with one thing he knew, that from what he could gather they weren't the only cyborg modified humans this 'Black Ghost' had. How many, who they were, if they could be friend or foe, but most of all what they were capable of were all very bad possibilities on a plan that needed to be air tight. Regardless he knew for now he could keep it all on the back burner. As their was something else he wanted to know before going any further. "So... I know we've known one another for however long now but... who are you guys anyways? I mean besides the numbering and all that." Truth was they never knew anything about each other in terms of life outside of this strange new one. Yosuke only knew them as 001, 003, and 008 respectfully.

Jason sits on the ground staring at the campfire as a he focuses on one thing.......controlling his powers. Ever since he was activated he could hear the thoughts of others. Doctors,Scientists,Guards,even the thoughts of his fellow cyborgs. It was like listening in on thousands of conversations at once. However....each of their thoughts had something in common....Families,friends,loved ones, although they were different for each person.....they had people who cared about them. "I wonder........is there anyone who misses me ? " Jason thinks to himself as his face saddens a bit. No matter how hard he tried,no matter how far he searched his own mind,the only memories he had were of being activated and the training he and the other cyborgs went through.As Jason tries to recall his past,he's interrupted by 009's question. "I'm Jason....other than my name....I don't remember anything before I was activated....." Jason says nervously to the group.

Kye was standing near a fellow cyborg with her eyes closed, listening to the pit of her belly where fire could be spat up. She felt happy about the unusual things and trinkets that happened to be inside her. She was particularly happy about simply being a walking flamethrower. When Vail walked in with his dog, Kye opened her eyes. She didn't dislike nor like the man who stood before her and her teammates. To her, he was a rather mutual feeling and her boss. When 005 asked her question and 004 seemed to join the group from her corner, Kye's interest in the briefing became perked. "Yes, could you tell us what these people are and can do? It'd be bad if we go in blind, not that we couldn't." she asked, her strong German accent clear in her voice. Questions were a thing she was good at. She'd asked a lot of questions when she was first activated, but now she kept most of them to herself. Kye had seen the annoyance in her asking about every little thing, so she gave herself the answers. There she stood silently, eyes narrowed and locked on Vail awaiting for the answers yet to come.

Bartholomew Florence Jay

Jay sat in a chair, leaning back with his feet kicked up on the desk. His arms across his chest he sighed some. He waited, despised moving so slow, but that was all they seemed to do around her, wait to wait. He leaned his head back looking up at the ceiling. The Ex-street racer hated all this waiting. Scanning the group with soft blue eyes and then down at his own body, did they really have to wear these ridiculous outfits, they look like they came out of some bad Jap animations show from the 80s for crying out loud. He sighed in frustration when the door opened. He listened to the banter between this guy with white hair banter some.

"So let me get this right, You guys suck, and let them escape. So now we have to go about and endanger our new lives to fix your mistakes, Is that about the jist of it? Ok good. Got it understand all. You suck, we rule." He said before adding on his face turning into a stereotypical marine sergeant, "Lets do this Shit!" while pumping his fist once, his voice was all deep and gravely, like a marine drill Sargent.

Turning his head back to normal he leaned back some before spinning in his chair and planting his feet on the ground and springing up "well time to go risk our lives!" he said looking to the rest of the team and ready to go.

Vail

Vail, paling in comparison considerably to Alicia in terms of height, glanced up at the tall female cyborg, having to tilt his head back to do so. Alongside him Yuki's fur began to bristle and her lips curled back in a snarl. She didn't trust the massive cyborg as much as her master didn't.

"You should be careful about everything regarding these people. They're highly dangerous and perhaps even mentally unstable. After all, they escaped from here and what reason would they have for doing that? Surely it's not that bad here, is it?" he asked, his voice filled with mock hurt as he nonchalantly glanced down at the back of his hand, adjusting the red ribbon wrapped around it for a few seconds until it was perfect again.

"They also have...powers, like you," he continued softly, the betrayed look fading from his eyes. "The first one has various psychic powers so guard your mind in case he tries to feed you their lies. The second one can hear you from miles away and can throw things with deadly accuracy so don't be loud and obnoxious and don't make yourself a target! The third, known as 008, is a wonderful freak of nature who can fight well and has extendable limbs. You're better off just staying away from her entirely, if you can avoid it. Lastly, there's 009, who I'd wager is the strongest of the bunch, aside from you, 005. He's fast, strong, resistant to damage and can leap long distances. Watch out when he activates the switch in his teeth; he can move faster than any of you and will take full advantage of the moments that you're slowed down to take your life. Subdue him first if you can manage that before he activates the switch."

The instant he finished his speech he became very quiet, his cool demeanor slipping off into the wind as he heard 007's words. He glanced up at him after a long while, his eyes glinting dangerously. "Would you like to say that again?" he threatened, reaching into his robe, hoping the very act of it would be enough to intimidate the arrogant young cyborg. He just hoped they didn't call his bluff; there was actually nothing in his robe as he was only a peon, thus he was not allowed to carry weapons. It had been made clear to him by his superiors that he was nothing more than an expendable pawn, just like the cyborgs. Well, he'd see how long that lasted...

"We didn't let them escape, they beat the ever living shit out of us, if you must know," he spat. He suddenly rubbed his left eye for a few moments, rubbing away the makeup he had grudgingly applied to hide his painful black eye. "I have more too," he grumbled before addressing them all again.

"Now get out of my sight!" he spat, his mood clearly fouled by 007's words. He was willing to be civilized with some of them but he most certainly would never be civil with 007, even if they were the last two people on earth!

Sylus

"This guy's a joke," 002, also known as Sylus, grunted before turning his back on the white-haired freak and his equally freaky dog.

"And you..." he suddenly said over his shoulder, glancing directly at 007, "Are a complete and total moron. I can't believe I have to work with someone like you."
He might come to respect the others eventually though, right now, he honestly couldn't care less. They were just bodies getting in the way of his work, nothing more than mere hindrances he would have to take care. Well, except for the one known as 005. He didn't doubt she could hold her own in a fight.

Out of habit, having done this many times over in test missions and in actual missions for this horrid organization, Sylus clicked his feet together, the boosters in them roaring to life and propelling him into the air. He glanced down at his comrades from where he hovered and, for a brief second, a light smile broke through the sorrow, anger and seriousness that always clouded his face. He had always dreamed about being able to fly as a child, when he was stuck in bed, an ailing victim to tuberculosis. The sky had always looked so enticing from his bedroom window, which he often found himself staring out of when he wasn't practicing with his commandeered knife.

"Lead the way, idiot," he leered at 007, the serene look disappearing from his face in the blink of an eye.

Kye watched everything unfold in front of her. She glanced up at 005 and 007 every now and then, making sure to have a good line of escape open for her. As she watched 002, or Sylus, talk 007's arrogance down she didn't know if 007 could keep his bad temper to himself. Kye manuvered herself between the two, "Okay okay ladies, we all got freaked by the boy and dog in the locker room but we can deal with it. Not like we have any diary to shy away. Let's just go after these runaways, get them and their crap in a trash bag, and have another story to brag about. Okay?" she said. She shook her head to herself and was glad she was born in a well disciplined country with a strict family. "Those two would be in serious trouble in Germany..." she said to herself in her native tongue.

Viktoria

As Yosuke spoke, Viktoria nodded quietly, turning her back to the flames, listening to the others speak while she kept her eyes trained outwards. It seemed an introduction circle had begun, and Viktoria was more than a little reluctant to take part in it. Her memories were painful, the events of her previous life always unpleasant to recall. She would never understand, what was it about the negative things, the awful memories of hatred and sadness and pain, that stood out so brilliantly against the blurry backdrop of pleasant memories? Why did she remember every bad thing that happened to her with such clarity and detail, while the good things...her parents...the piano...dancing for the love of it...all of it was a blur. As she listened to Jason, she couldn't help but wonder: who was the luckier of the two? Was she blessed to have retained her memories, even though they felt like a curse? If she didn't have these, would she feel any better?
Sighing, she shook her head, thoughts like these were distracting, dangerous. She needed to stay focused on keeping herself and her teammates alive, there wasn't any time to dabble in philosophy.
"My name is Viktoria. I come from Sweden, and grew up in the sweet town of Arvika. I had a beautiful life of artistry and music, before my parents were taken from me. I had bad judgement, and my decisions from that point on landed me in unfortunate circumstances, and led to my eventual..." Her throat immediately closed up at the recollection of the pain and suffering she had gone through. "My eventual death. I never expected my life would continue in such a fashion." She mused.

Nikinu

As Vail gave them details about the enemy, Nikinu tucked them away, memorizing each fact quickly, thinking of all the ways she could utilize such information. There wasn't much, but it was better than nothing. Evidently, the one known as 007 opened his large mouth, and cockily rattled off a stream of offensive statements. Though all of them had probably been thinking something along the lines of what he had to say, he was the only one gutsy enough to actually say it. Clearly, it was unappreciated, and while it came as no real surprise that Vail would take offense to it, she was surprised to see 002 snap at their teammate. Typically, the flying man didn't really seem to show much care for anything. Nikinu watched the scene unfold before her, her face remaining stoic and expressionless. She desperately wanted to roll her eyes in annoyance and disbelief, but she kept herself in check. Shaking her head, she followed them out, thankful that 006 had decided to take the matter into her own hands.
"Well?" Niki asked, stretching her arms out. Before her untimely death, the action would have brought her pleasure and relief, but all she could feel now was an unsettling clicking of metal joints, and probably no lack of heavy weaponry. "Are we going to take off any time soon?" She didn't want to start a fight, or egg anyone on, but simply wanted to get the group moving, before their...prey...got any further ahead of them. "I agree with 006. Leave the banter behind."
