Would anyone be interested in a Wheel of Time roleplay?
I tried a while ago to start a Wheel of Time roleplay but I did not get many interested and those I got fell away from the game rather quickly, so basically I am wondering if there is any interest in a RPG set in this setting? Now what I would like to do is to play a game set 200 years before the start of the books, the reason why I want to set the game then and not in the middle of the action so to speak is to have room to make a story in the RPG and not constantly bump into the plot of the books. 200 years before the start of the books the world of Wheel of Time is reasonably the same as it is at the start of the books, but it give some wriggling room.
I would be interested in starting a RPG that is very true to setting that means that the players would have to at least have some grasp of the Wheel of Time, preferably players should have read at least some of the books but if you have played the D20 RPG game or the video game you should have enough information. I would want characters which would be possible within the setting, extraordinary characters are fine, but they have to be plausible.
I love the Wheel of Time setting and I know the books are popular, so I guess since my last game failed before it really started that I am just testing the waters to see if I can find someone else who is interested in playing in this setting before I start up another interest check. I also am not sure if I want the game to be set in casual or advanced. I definitely want advanced content with well developed characters and eventually deep plots, but as you can see my spelling and grammar is not perfect and I do not want to scare away anyone who want to play but who feel that the technicalities of their writing skills are not up to par, so what do you think, casual or advanced?
If anyone is interested drop me a line in this thread or send me a PM and I will think up a plot for the game and start an interest check. Wheel of Time is a great setting with such dept and detail and I think that it is perfect for roleplaying in due to this detail and richness.
