Genopolis Testing Company [Reboot] IC
"For fuck's sake!" Dean exclaimed, throwing his iPhone across the room. Yes, he was at work. Yes, his girlfriend Casie knew this, but still she pressed on, harassing him through his working day.
"All I need to figure out is how on earth this gene can be so dominant in one species, yet so recessive in another, yet both species' have such a similar DNA structure..." he sighing, as he rubbed his temples. A man of science, it was easy to say Dean Foster was married to the job. From the moment he woke up, till the moment he went to sleep, he was a picture of concentration. Squeezing his eyes shut, he pulled away from the microscope, shaking his head. It seemed like no matter how much he studied, he was no closer to an answer.
Dallas poured his coffee and did his morningly round of the lab. He wandered aimlessly, gawping at subjects in cages and tanks.
"Good morning, freakshow, nice day isn't it?"
He grinned slyly to himself
"That's right, you guys wouldn't know, would you. My bad!" He chuckled to himself, glad he wasn't on the receiving end.
After finishing his coffee, he tossed the empty polystyrene cup into Mia's tank, a ritual both Dallas and Mia were used to. The two had been at each other's throat's for years, Dallas' hatred for this creature muffled by the fact she was the first discovered of her species, practically irreplaceable.
Sulking at the bottom of her tank, which was stock-standard for aquatic creatures, Mia hadn't slept well the previous night. They had dragged in several unsuspecting creatures, who in turn had gone completely ape-shit on their new surroundings. It wasn't their fault, of course. This hellhole made people all shades of crazy.
