I know. But it is because I know that it will happen eventually that I await it so fondly. Sure I have a few moments of doubt, but I pick myself right back up. I have a lot of other stuff on my mind too. College has opened me up to a lot of new ideas. The real issue is going to be deciding which things I will end up doing with my life. I'm multi-talented academically, so it is going to be a tough choice. I've got big plans though :DQuote:

Doesn't help that I don't have much of a base. I have my best friend, I have a good friend (who lives in the states), but beyond that, not really anyone to talk to about my own problems. I don't have any sort of religion or group or anything to seek guidance from or find solace in (not that I desire the former). So yes, it can be stressful.
But I don't let it consume me. Love has a way of...Finding you. Just take your life a day at a time. Try not to worry about it. As silly as it sounds, I pulled out my hair worrying about relationships for a year, and it got me nowhere, and now I'm just (mostly) not worrying anymore. Still have lots of time.

Well I didn't mean the things I want are childish, more the way I act is still mostly childish. I've grown up as far as making good decisions, taking responsibility, and other things of that sort. I just haven't outgrown my social dependence of others. I crave interaction, so I'm not the best at jobs which require me to be alone for long periods of time. During class I ask a lot of questions, and participate whenever possible to keep myself interested. I lack self motivation, and because of that it is hard for others to look at me as someone independent. I haven't outgrown this because I've never had to be in a situation where I had to go without people around me concerned with what I am doing. I am still living with my parents. And I think I would have started in four year college instead of community had I not been scared of going out on my own. I know I'll always have RpG, but the internet has never worked as a substitute for real people. I don't know if I will grow out of it, mainly due to the fact that the reason I'm so friendly is because of my genuine interest in others. Even still, I'm sure someone out there likes a quality like that.Quote:

Esper's so spot on. It's part of the process. I'm as independent minded and confident a woman as I know, and even I've had moments where it's like, 'Am I just not standing out? Is there something about me I can change or make better?' But over time it just makes you insane. Every single shred of evidence I've witnessed says you're an incredibly sweet heart with a tough side and a great personality.
I'm in my mid-20s. Not single, but at this point in life I just try to enjoy each relationship for what it is while it is. Could this be 'the one?' I think so, I hope so. But I adapted a wait and see approach in my early 20s, and it's served me well. You'll figure it out. We all do, one way or another. Just don't compromise anything about you to try to make the pieces fit. When they fit, they fit, and you'll know.
