Ultimate Doom: A Marines Story OOC

Seeming that is in place this OOC is gonna be simple and mainly for character Bios if you want to take a look at the Interest check click the link below:

Interest Check

Now while it has been discussed there is going to be a lot of modifications, i.e. we are going to build this from the ground up. While we are still in discussion, we will start the role play right now, and newer advanced enemies will come along as time moves on. For anyone who wonders I have decided that we will all start out with just two weapons one is going to be the pistol (No Pistol Modifications) and one main weapon that does not pertain to the BFG, The Rocket Launcher or the plasma gun. These weapons can later be obtained in the game however the shotgun, super shotgun, machine gun, and the super machine gun are fair game. Anyone who was in the interest check are allowed to modify their weapons, anyone who wasn't has to approve their modifications with me first via PM before I accept their application. There will be ranks, but this is more platonic in this case then anything else, so when I accept you I will give you a rank within the marine corp. My last bit of information before the application you will have an ammo count, ammo and armor modifications can be obtained only in the roleplay. For now I want you to list your ammo count and I don't want to see it in the 1000's for a pistol shotgun etc keep it realistic, we are not rambo as much as some of us no doubt might want to be. Anything else I feel is important I will add in this OOC later on, you know the rules, Im not going to rephrase them so you better learn them if you dont know them or ill kick you fast if you break any. Threats out of the way lets get this CS up so I can get the intro done. Oh and P.S. put some work into your bios I wanna know who your character is and what they look like no (red hair and blue eyes) and thats it give me some description.

General Appearance:

• Eye color: Dark green
• Surge is a rough rather type of Marine, but he is a hardened marine who has seen much war. His body looks from first glance like he has never seen a weight room but his body is heavily toned. His face has a large scar on the left cheek an his hair is almost always shaven, grown out it is dark blonde. He is not one for facial hair and his body does not have natural hair.

Modifications:
Surge is known for carrying around a duel action XIS-Double Barreled shotgun at first glance it might just look like a hunting rifle but the Major has had that same weapon for several years and he has mad several modifications to it.

His first modification was the way ammo was inserted into the gun. A normal double barrel opens at the front to put in shells, but Surge modified it so that shells could be loaded into special clip casings and then inserted into the top of the shotgun where the shells are dispersed as they are are ejected, two more will be pulled down into the barrel of the rifle after every shot is fired.

His second modification was building in a duel band AGOC scope that can pop in and out of the rifle. For those of you who don't know what a duel band AGOC is its a scope that reads body temperatures and lights them up light an orange light, especially useful at night when its to dark to see your enemy but can be used during the day in the light as well.

Sergei's last significant modification was to add in a select fire trigger which switches between spray mode an direct fire mode. To explain the gun was modified so that the user was capable of spraying multiple targets as shots gun do, or if in direct fire mode a mechanism in the gun constricts the barrel and forces the pellets from the shell to fire in a direct line as apposed to spray ratio.


General Personality:
Surge is not easy to get along with in no way. Whenever anyone attempts to make conversation with him he blows you off quick. Surge always have an angry personality and does not tend to get along well with other marines. He is an old school type of soldier and demands respect, even though he gives none. He expects you to follow orders and to carry them out or as he says he will just shoot you for insubordination. Surge for the most part is rather secluded most of the time, an when off duty he is in the training facilities punching bags and or walls whatever makes it work better. One of his only redeemable qualities is he is a massive strategist and he had one of the best military minds of his time. But whatever good qualities he has is drowned out by the fact that he is always angry and never wanting to be around others. If he is on duty he is a professional all the way, works with whoever he has to, off duty he would blow you off in a heart beat to be alone. However mean he can be he is also loyal, and dedicated, he would not leave a soldier even if he does hate them for that isn't who he is. No one has ever cracked his tough outer shell before so no one knows the real man.

General History:
This has been the talk of the mess hall for as long as Surge could remember, everyone always trying to figure out who he is or where he came from. For as long as any Marine could remember Surge has been in the UAC Corporations Military Detail from the moment they arrived. He is the Commanding Officer of the base and is the one who over see's all military operations on Mars, Phobo's, and Demios. Some say he comes from a long line of military men and woman from with in his family, some say he came up from hell to make their lives a living hell, no matter the rumor no one has ever truly figured out where Surge is from, if he has family, even if he is married to any one or has children. All anyone really knows about the Majoor is he is hard ass who expects you to do your job as appointed and to not fuck up. Another known fact is Surge us a heavy drinker sometimes when he has extended leave of his command, an in some drunk instances he has talked about a Marine, a marine who died long ago back on earth, most of it is mottled an Surge will pass out before he says to much but everyone imagines that Surge had a dramatic experience and that's why he came to Mars and has been here for as long as he has.

Appearance: She is five-foot-nine, and athletically built. She has mostly smooth skin with a few faint creases that had just begun to form around her mouth, knuckles, and eyes. She is American, with deep Asia heritages. Her jet-black hair is cut short around her shoulders and typically tied up in a tight bun atop her head. Her eyes are black, and small. She wears little makeup, only lipstick. She typically wears her mother's golden locket necklace.

Main Weapon: Twin-Barreled, Pump-Action Shotgun (aka "Super" Shotgun)
Modifications: Inferno Shells(10 sec burn), Kickback Muzzle (reduced damage, reduced penetration, double weapon force)
Each Inferno Shell contains incendiary ammunition that burns for 10 seconds. She carries 6 of these shells at a time.
The Kickback Muzzle is an additional piece of machinery that attaches to the end of the shotgun, doubling the force with which the shells impact the target. The result generally knocks the enemy down or stuns them for a short time. Highly effective against otherwise difficult enemies, useless against big bad hellspawn (like the Cyberdemon).
If she's itching to do excessive damage, she can equip both mods at once.

General Personality: Steph is a hardcore marine. She lives and breathes military life, and thrives in combat situations. She is emotionally detached from people, but will not leave an ally behind.

General History: Steph joined the marines because her parents were marines. Military runs in her blood. She has been in multiple combat arenas around the world. Phobos was her first off-planet mission. It is not what she expected. It's much more exciting.

Other: Steph can become overly engaged in combat, and often exhibits signs of psychosis.

UAC Standard Armor for any marine. His face is masculine in shape and structure, with light skin. He has a square chin and chiseled jawline. His short, blonde hair looks good on him, accentuating his features well. Jim is 5'11 and is in good physical shape. ( Though he could life few weights.)

Jim was always considered a wimpy kid, even after joining the UAC to prove his classmates wrong, he never found the courage within himself to step up to the plate.

I was born on August 17th, 2122. was born and brought up in a nuclear family in Houston, Texas. We are a family of four: my parents, me and my younger brother. The school days offered me a lot to learn. Subjects like science, languages and history were of special interest to me. However, the mechanical process of learning never interested me.

Although I was good at studies throughout my academic life, drawing, studying, and breathing, I was more inclined towards understanding the concepts rather than just memorizing them. After graduating with a major in biology, I took up nature photography. It was a decision that changed the entire course of my life. Through this profession, I was able to explore life in its varied forms. Also the knowledge of biology came in handy while exploring the flora and fauna. In a sense, photography has proved to be a catalyst in this process of change which completely transformed me...... and then I woke up. Why am I writing to myself, I don't even know. The other guys here in the UAC treat me like wuss, I can't stand it. I mean, I joined the UAC to save the world, get the ladies, and find the inner strength within me. But nope, just like in college, people still treat me like shit. I'm used to it. Anyway, my art degree didn't do shit for me. ( Why the hell did I get that anyway?) Plus, my parents are in Hawaii somewhere, wanting me to become independent and take control of my life or something like that. So I was presented with two options: Starvation, or the UAC. Guess which one I took? Hehehe. Anyway, I get to the training facility, endure two monthes of hell, and then get stationed on MARS. MARS. Oh god why. It's my first week here, and I swear....something doesn't feel right, shit is going to go down....I know it will.

Also, are we posting in third person or first person? I much more prefer third, as it makes it simpler to track of what's going on.

Frank weights 216 lbs and a height of 6'1". He is caucasian and has an athletic build. His hair is black with a buzz haircut and his eyes are big and dark brown in color. Frank has a couple of scars on the left side of his face, due to an accident 3 years ago.

General Personality: Frank displays the attitude of a tough guy and a pretty insensitive individual that often acts like he dosen't care. He fully oncentrates on his duties and dosen't let anything distract him. He is a very determined individual and he often manages to keep his cool in stressfull situations. Because of that he got the nickname Frosty. However underneath that hard shell lies a humble and caring man that even proved to be romantic too.

General History: Born in Los Angeles, Frank originates from a wealthy family. After finishing college he decided to become a UAC Marine Officer. His parents totally dissaproved their of their son having to follow a career in the army. But Frank ignored them and enlisted. During his training as a Marine, Frank was often made fun of, because of his background as a son of a rich family. But Frank transformed that negative energy around him into constructive energy as he ignored all the hate and passed training among the first in his class. Imidieatly afterwards he was sent on Mars to replace somebody of the same rank as him that dissapeared for several days and was later found dead. Now after many years, Frank still operates on Mars.

Other: Frank has a fiancee named Sarah, 3 years older then him, who works as an assistant in the Phobos Labs.

Ah there he is was wondering when your bio would be up. Most impressive even though I said no Plasma rifles to start out with, I think that you won't abuse it so Ill let you have it. An Ill let you have Captain in that case this makes you second in Command at Mars. (As in any case this doesn't make much of a difference in general, feel free to pull rank lmao.)

We got some good characters here I like them all. For once I am excited, this is actually going to get off the ground. As we had one other person in the interest thread, I will wait an see if he is still going to get in the RP if not I think we got enough to get this started.
