Backstory:

There's a new age coming. Some otherwise godly place is going to be here in one year. One short year. That's all the time we have to build up an empire. It seems strange that the goal of a mob would be to reach for the stars but that's what we're doing. Stick with me and I'll explain.

In the year 2024 the stars fell right out of the sky. All but one. Shortly after a lot of people started coming out saying they saw strange things, people from another planet. Most of them were crazy but they weren't far off. These celestials, or star spirits as they've been named. I've seen one of them, she spoke to me. She said reach for the stars and I'll never have to feel pain again.

I thought I had drank one too many drinks that night and I tried to sleep it off. A couple hours later Mr. Origachi's men came knocking on my door. I had done some work for the family before but I left them. My debt was paid. It turned out that was not the case. Back when I was working for the family there was this girl. They had told me to kill her, I had done it before, kill I mean. But not like that. Not someone who had no intention of harming me. I let her go, put her on a ship to never be seen again. Or so I thought.

Mr. Origachi told me that she had been his daughter. That she had disgraced the family and that she needed to die by the families hands. She hadn't shown her face around for sometime but there was an accident back in America. She died behind the wheel and when they took DNA samples to find out who she was. They came back here to inform Mr. Origachi that his daughter had died.

It took them a few days to find me and by then his rage had calmed and before they brought me to him the spirits had came. He said I had disgraced his daughter by letting her die by someone else hands and that I had also disgraced the family name. When it came to this family that meant death. But he said that I would live, if I paid off my debt. My new debt. Turns out he had seen one of them. He didn't say what it had told him but he told me one had visited him and that he knew I had seen one too.

I was brought in as a soldier, usually the people that brought the muscle to the enemy but this wasn't the case. See I didn't know it at the time but those of us who were visited by the spirits, we were given talents, skills of the trade. Something to help us reach this heavenly place they told all of us about. We were supposed to prove ourselves and I didn't know how. I don't think anyone did, but Mr. Origachi had a plan.

He knew where to find us and he brought us in from all across Japan. We formed teams to be sent out on special task. There was a lot going on and I didn't want to be a part of any of it. I had to though, otherwise I would die, and part of me knew that there was something that had to be done. Mr. Origachi might not have been doing it but he was doing something and I was going along for the ride.

Plot:

We will be an elite team under a growing mafia in Japan. On one side their a mob so they are enemies with the Triad and Yakuza, on the other this Star spirits have stirred up a lot of chaos and organizations will be popping up across the globe. We will live normal lives during the day and be fighting to strengthen the mafia at night. Not only that but we're also trying to find out what is going to happen in a year and how to prepare for it.

Expectations:

I usually don't do this but I want this rp to last a few months. I've done it before but it's been awhile so here are my expectations, if I sound like a dick too damn bad don't join.

-This story will have a lot of creativity and skill. If you can't make it seem like you're character is a real person with a life outside of combat you can not join this rp.

-Combat is going to happen. I need people who have had experience with fighting rps before and know how to make each fight interesting yet not prolong it so that other players are left stuck.

-Teamwork is essential, get along with your fellow players. If you're a guy that likes to solo it out save it for the day sequences at night we're a team.

-Dedication, I want people with no lives pretty much. I want you to give time to this rp. If you can't handle multiple rps don't join others after this. I will not give up on my own rp, and I expect you not to give up either. At least be a player that can stay until we replace you.

Name: Amodeus Elysius (Ah-moe-dee-us Ill-less-ee-us)
Age: 24
Gender: Male

Personality: Sarcastic, but not deliberately mean or nasty. Tends to remain calm, and is slightly reserved. He is also stubborn, and loyal to his friends. Can be outwardly pessimistic. Does not enjoy killing, but tries not to let it get to him. All part of the job.

Background: Born with a heart defect, yet grew up as a normal member of the upper middle class. Amodeus didn't live in excess, but always had what he needed. He learned to shoot from his father, who recently passed away due to natural causes. After the event, he received his ability, and he found no other occupations where it would fit better than as a thief, or an assassin. He used his ability to break into a DARPA facility, and stole the suit he currently wears when entering combat. He began stealing to support himself, and even took on a single hit job, before he as found. He was then approached by a Japanese mafia leader, and was promised answers to his abilities, as well as information regarding future events. Finding himself unable to refuse, he took his stealth suit and escaped the country, joining the mafia in Japan.

Ability: To seemingly teleport short distances. He isn't sure if it is some kind of time control, or if it is some kind of FTL motion, but he knows he can just appear in a different location in the blink of an eye. He calls it "shunpo", the flash step. This ability, however, puts his body under immense physical strain. While not tiring, he will not use it often for fear of overworking his heart.

Attribute: In addition to, or simply because of his ability, he has an altered perception of time; things move slower for him than the average person. This is not a huge gap, just a few miliseconds of difference, but it gives him a slight advantage. This is typically displayed in his seemingly instantaneous reaction time.

Equipment: He carries a silenced Five-seveN, ideal for his stealth approach. He also wields a blacked out KA-BAR. His pistol carries 20 rounds per clip. His suit is a prototype, and is not fully developed. However, it features body armor capable of stopping handgun rounds. The goggles have thermal and night vision. It is also equipped with its own air system, which can be activated if in the presence of tear gas or the like. (permission from GM on the suit and all.)

Alter-ego/Daytime personality: Amodeus works a minimum wage job in a restaurant as a waiter, and has a small apartment in the city. While not on the job, he enjoys relaxing over a bottle of rum. Since he's new to Japan, the only people he has any acquaintance with are those from the mafia. He hopes to eventually make friends with the team, since he has nothing much to do between jobs. He doesn't have a fake name, and hopes the helmet protects his identity enough to be safe.

Likes: Music, the night sky, rum.
Dislikes: The beach, hot temperatures, dishonor, naivety

Notes: He is by no means a soldier, and as such is not used to open conflict, and can froze if fired upon. He also is not the best shot in the world, nor can he wield other weapons effectively. His only success in combat comes from the sneak attacks his ability grants him.

Ability: Alex's possesses the ability to induce destruction within her surrounding area. The ability works by violently changing the makeup of matter in the surrounding area causing a variety of effects. Examples could include things like shattering stone, melting metal, liquids boiling away or air becoming a vacuum deprived of oxygen, highly pressurized or toxic. When the ability comes in contact with biological material it most often causes muscle, skin or plant material to decay and bones to twist crack and snap.

At her current level she only has controlled use of the ability when in direct contact with an object. The ability however must be actively suppressed to prevent unwilling damage to surrounding areas.

Attribute: Due to her ability requiring constant suppression Alex has become excellent at multi-tasking as she must always be mindful of her ability. However after being approached by a certain someone Alex was given a ring to take over the suppression of her ability. This has allowed her to use the portion of brain power which was previously reserved for keeping the ability in check for other tasks. But despite this she still keeps a constant watch over her own ability, not wishing to risk seeing anything go wrong by only relying on the odd piece of jewelry.

Personality: Alex is someone who is a bit twitchy and always feels the need to be moving. Her attention is often divided between multiple things giving her a bit of an eccentric demeanor. She could easily seem flighty or aloof on a first encounter but she does often try to be considerate of others, at least in her own way. The rather frantic pace she has trained herself to move at however can make her seem blunt or down right odd. Underneath the eccentric demeanor she is someone who believes there is some good in everything. She is someone who does always try to look on the brighter side of things, as daunting a task as it may be. The girl tries to avoid conflict when possible, preferring to resolve things without a fight.

Background: Before the events which granted her ability Alex was a fairly normal, though slightly quirky girl. She was never very popular during her school life but never had much trouble either, being the kind of person to drift through things unnoticed. Her biggest hobby was reading, which she enjoyed on her own most of the time. She had a few friends during this time but still mostly preferred to keep to herself and sink into her books.

But the ordinary life was eventually gone. When the stars fell things began to change. To her it looked like the entire world had become strange, like something right out of fantasy or science fiction. Eventually, things took an even stranger turn. A stranger came to the girl, like a spirit, speaking of even stranger things. After it was gone she questioned if what she had saw was reality or simply a dream. But the following day things would start to look all too real.

Alex ended up in the middle of a squabble with another girl. About something petty no doubt, not even worth remembering. But what happened next she could not forget. In anger the other girl took a swing, Alex clenched for the oncoming blow and a ringing pain but what came next was quite the opposite. A few sickening cracks, and the sound of something falling to the ground with a thud. Then the other girls voice, screaming in shock and agony. The sight before her was the other girl knelt to the ground, clutching the stump of what was left of an arm. The rest of the arm sat on the ground, a mangled decaying mess of flesh muscle and bone.

The awakening of her ability was burned into her mind. The girl fled immediately, before word would spread about what happened, before something else could happen. She went as far as she could manage, suppressing the ability as best she could. She still broke things along the way but thankfully hadn’t injured anyone else. Eventually she found herself in Japan, and not long after was approached by a certain man. A mob leader, but that didn't matter to her at the moment. The person seemed to know about these strange things that had surfaced in the world, all she cared about at that time was finding out what exactly it meant. After being pulled into the mob Alex was given a ring to further and more reliably suppress her ability.

Daily Routine: During the day Alex lives as quietly as she can. She works at a small quiet bookstore, barely making ends meet in order to keep paying for the tiny apartment she rents and keep some food on the table. Much like she did in her school days she lives trying to keep as little a presence of herself around as possible, though this time to avoid her other career being found out. During work she is quiet but not overly evasive, only really speaking when something needs to be done but still keeping up a friendly demeanor. Over all she lives much of the same life she did in the past.

Ability: She does everything physical twice as fast. (Punches, kicks, runs, heals, eats, reacts, etc.)

Attribute: Because of her ability, Chesca’s metabolism is twice as fast as well, so she is constantly eating something. She also tends to act before thinking, because she just can react so quickly.

Personality: Chesca will try anything once. Twice if you dare her to. She is a fun loving type of person most of the time, and wants to do what she wants when she wants to. She is stubborn at times and hates being told no. If she wants something, she’ll find a way to get it. There is really no changing her mind once she gets dead set on something. She is also very impatient and can come off as rude because of it. She never holds a grudge once a dispute has been settled, and often forgets ever even arguing with a person.

Daily Routine/Background: Chesca grew up in the United States, but her mother died when she was little. Her father was a photographer and got offered a big fashion photography job in Japan. He never would have taken it if his wife was alive, but he wanted to be able to provide the best for his daughter. He picked up and moved with her, Chesca being only 7 at the time. She barely remembers before coming here and living in a big city. Growing up, her father was hardly ever around, and with an adventurous spirit, she found mischief. At the age of 13 she join a fight club and began getting her butt kicked on a weekly basis. Her father would notice sometimes, but Chesca always blamed it on school bullies. To which her father would simply ask how bad the other guy or girl looked. Chesca continued sneaking out at night and living this dual life, while still maintaining her studies though she cared less and less about them. She eventually began joining in betted fights, and made some cash. She got a job as a waitress to cover up where she got the extra cash from. She also joined a few teams at school including track to keep her in peak physical condition. One night when she was 17, however, she got beaten to a pulp and got knocked out. When she woke up, she was at home in bed with her wounds bandaged. She had no clue how she got there, and kept fading in and out of consciousness. As she did, she would see this bright white light speaking to her and talking to her about how she could be more than a punching bag.

After she recovered, Chesca wasn’t sure why but she felt better than she had in her entire life. It was like the yellows were yellower, the greens were greener, everything was heightened. At track, she ran double her best time she’d ever set and didn’t feel any more winded than she had before. She had an undying hunger and began eating constantly though she didn’t gain weight. She finally went back into fights, and KO’d a man twice her size in less than a minute due to her ducking ability and rapid punches. For her, it was like the man had barely been moving, but everyone who had watched was amazed. They accused her of cheating and demanded that she give them back their money. Frightened of all the people angry at her at once, she ran, and never went back. There were other places she could have gone to fight, but the same betters were always at them. She had to find something else. That’s when she stumbled upon Mr. Origachi and the mafia… She only goes by her first name, and recently graduated high school. She is also searching for an apartment to protect her father from her activities. Her spare time is filled with any daredevil activity she can get her hands on, or just going out for a night on the town.

age: 22

appearance: (Sorry I can never find anything that suits whats in my head) Christian has blond hair and green eyes. His teeth are white, albeit slightly crooked, but not in an unpleasant way. He stands at an easy 5'11. He has a slender figure, but not lanky. He doesn't bulge with muscles, but neither does he lack them. He is very average in his appearance.

apparel: Christian wears a black hoodie and jeans. But underneath the hoodie is a very high tech piece of body armor that flexes with his muscles, that can stop some bullets. He prefers speed over protection. Christian prefers to use melee weapons, and his own specialized martial arts to take down enemies. He carries a pistol and several types of cutlery.

ability: Christian has the ability to generate wind with nothing but a wave of the hand. He can cause everything from a warm spring breeze to a raging storm. Can also slow himself from a long fall and glide for short distances. Thought his does tire him out.

attribute: Christian heals faster than most individuals. A normal person cuts a cut, it heals in a weak. Christian heals in a day or two. Varies depending on injury.

personality: Christian is a kind soul, and likes to live life. He can always be found smiling, when either in his cover ID, or even during his nighttime prowls. He likes to joke and laugh. He prefers to finish fights quickly, and quietly. Stealth isn't as important as speed. He figures the longer a fight goes on, your chances of dying go up significantly. So he uses speed and agility to take down his enemies quickly.

Daily Routine: During the day Christian goes as John Winchester, a character from a very old television show he used to watch as a child. He occasionally will go to pubs with his "buddies" and sing karaoke. He will also do Open Mic nights and play his acoustic guitar. As his day job, Christian tends a bar called McNalley's. He enjoys it because people will give bartenders all kinds of useful information.

Apparel: To affirm his identity to his Allies, he carries a series of smiley face pins, which he dons discreetly onto every body he moves to.

Ability: Icarus can Possess people, shutting down their mind temporarily while he operates or directs them. This can be done in several ways, each with limitations

>> Through direct physical and eye contact, he can issue a series of commands, or access their memories. The deeper or more directive the command, the longer he has to make contact for. When Icarus breaks it off the person will be in a short trance period before they return completely normal.

>> By having his blood mix with his target, Icarus can possess their body, shutting down their conscious and assuming their body. He can access the target's mind as well during this time. Since the human body rejects and fights his blood, this type of control is limited by the flow of blood he can provide.(this is typically done with injections or small needle darts) After the time has elapsed, Icarus will return to his body after a brief moment(distance is of little regard), and the target will suffer Amnesia of the entire experience.

These abilities do not work on those who have powers, nor those dead or otherwise unconscious.

Attribute: Icarus has a strong persuasive aura about him, and is able to bluff his way through a situation, or gain people's trust with relative ease.

Personality: Icarus is very fond of the direct approach in conflict. He prefers to quickly control the situation, and hold nothing back when using and disposing of the people he uses his abilities on in order to achieve that control. He is used to manipulating others, and doing so with or without powers is second nature to him now.

Daily Routine: Icarus lives a fairly affluent lifestyle. He works as a consultant for several corporations, A job he created for himself with his power, and maintains successfully with his skill with people and his persuasion during negotiations. He frequently takes time off, and will spend the day in leisure at his home when not required at some party or social gathering.

Background: Icarus spent his first years of adulthood trapped in a cubicle, a clerical Aide at the very company he now holds sway over. Struggling for years only to find that the system had no intentions of letting him advance any further, he nearly broke down completely. However, the time of the star spirits came, and on a night when he worked alone all night at the office, one came for him. It offered him control is he would reach for the stars, and he accepted, but had no idea what had been bestowed upon him. Weeks later in a heated argument with a fellow coworker he discovered his ability to manipulate people. He began testing it out on his fellow co-workers, using it to rise and escape from his situation. After a while, he found himself a top tier executive for the company, when he was approach at an event by a contact of the mafia, who had hands in the company at the top level. Icarus was informed that they knew about his ability, and if he were to join them in Japan, they ensured that he could keep his status and secrecy. Looking at it as another step up the ladder, Icarus joined business and moved to join this new Special force.

ability: Zeifer has an electric current running through his body. This allows him to be able to interfere with electric paths both human and mechanical, or release it like a weapon. Examples of this would be placing a hand on someone's shoulder and shutting off their nerves temporarily, or forming an electric sphere around him to catch and fry bullets. Actions such as the first example would use little energy but actions like the second would quickly drain him.

attribute: Zeifer tends to be faster both in movement and in his reactions. For the most part this is in short burst though and not prolonged activity.

personality: Has a calm demeanor and is relatively cool headed. If a fight is necessary he wants it to be over with quickly and he usually makes sure that happens. Ever since he gained powers he has become more self reliant and more likely to take on things he wouldn't do before, anything from small actions like introducing himself to a pretty girl or hard actions like charging at three guys with machine guns.

Daily Routine: Trace (his cover name) works as a mechanic at a small bike shop just outside of town. He has a small cabin outside of the city that he bought before the stars fell. He tends to only go there on slow weeks where Mr. Origachi doesn't have him during work that would result in him being followed. He also has an apartment in the city with just the bare essentials.

accepted and why he has permission to have some gear is because he gave me a rough draft cs skeleton before I made one and if you help me out with my rps I tend to give you small privileges.

We're not battling all the time so yes you can have it but it wouldn't be needed as much as a war rp

Well, the point of a combat medic would be for them to actually mend injuries on a mission/out in the field/whatever you'd wanna call it while being decentish in combat otherwise.

but...thinking about it not sure how well it'd work out in an RP. Might think of something else, wouldn't want the character to be entirely useless part of the time.

it would be useful when someone is shot or something but I doubt we're going to have our people get shot in every fight....like in real life definitely useful but in an rp not as much
