I loathe interest checks that start with, "SO I WAS THINKING..." but I'm just not (EXCUSES EXCUSES EXCUSES) feeling the creative juices flowing today.

So I was thinking, Of starting a Roleplay that centers around a small group of super lame villains who for whatever reason have decided they want to take over their city. The story will take place in a world that is supposedly destined to end in three months. The subtle theme of apocalypse will be a constant presence but hardly ever directly referenced, only shadowing the main plot.

The main story will be split into chapters each with their own unique premise and goal. Each chapter should be relatively comical and care-free, so as to contrast with the theme of looming apocalypse.

I'm not looking for people who want to create powerful Villains with power over the elements. I'm looking for people who recognize the genre I'm going for which I've noticed is quite hard to find on this site.

Could a power be photogenic reflexes? It basically means you can copy what another person is doing. If not i can think of a more comical one.

Well you said comical i presumed you meant the characters were supposed to be comical. you could explain what you mean instead of just assuming we all know.

But I'm only interested in the people I don't have to explain it to. I'm not trying to be mean. What I'm trying to say is: If you don't "get" it, You never will.

That seems a bit 'elitist', despite you aiming for bad villains...

Anyway, how about the power to transform into a kiwi? Would that be good?

I think she means more along the lines of Venture Bros style villains. Like the Monarch or Phantome Limb. Or Truckules. Sort of like a Guild of Calamitous Intent?

I'm not familiar with the Guild of Calamitous Intent. Sorry. It's hard to place what i'm looking for. It's very specific.

Basically I'm looking for a small group of strange underdog villains for a roleplay centered on character development. The apocalypse theme is similar to the other world theme in Another Earth. A roleplay with characters that make light of a serious situation in a dark comedic way. It's about back stories, heartache and eventually redemption.

Yeah, you just need to "get" it.

What about a character that has no powers at all, but uses gadgets. She calls herself the jester and is always hearing the words isn't that kind of a joker rip off by those darn superheros.
