Classic Romantic Comedy Needs Female Lead

I am itching to do a good old fashion romantic comedy style role play. Specifically something where the two main characters truly don't get along in the start, but low and behold that anger and chaos turns to pure and simple passion. I have a few ideas on what the backgrounds could be, but I am leaning towards something like a high end law firm type deal. Two young up starts with a past end up starting to work for the same big shot consulting firm. A few years back they had a fling while working somewhere else. The guy was a mail boy while the woman was the daughter of some judge working at a summer intern. Things got pretty heavy and then the girl left for a better opertunity which left the guy high and dry.

Now both have their law degree and are just about to start their first week at their tream team law firm. What happens when they find out only a few of the new highers will be allowed to stay on after the end of the first quarter? Well as the two are both proud and competative there are sure to be all kinds of sparks flying in the library and conference room. So who thinks they have what it takes to go toe to toe with me in the courthouse? Really looking for people confortable with high casual to advance type writting and be able to post consistantly. Looking forward to hearing from people.

PS I prefer to do these on a thead and if they go to the more explicit and private scene shift to PM and then back to the thread. Any questions can be asked here and I will answer them. CHEERS!

May I join? I've never done something with law but I do like the funny romantic stuff ^^ Never played as an older woman, always a teen, but I suppose it doesn't hurt to try does it?

Red Raven thank you show much for sharing an interest. As far as I see it your concerns are unfair to yourself. I am not requiring you to have an advance understanding of all things legal. As far as this role play is concerned if you have seen a few legal drama episodes from shows like Boston Legal, Suits, or any others similar you will have more than enough to work with. And as for the older woman I am picturing our characters to be around their mid 20's. If you are comfortable playing a character of that age then I think we should move forward and see what this story has in store for us!

For others interested I am more than happy to do this role play with mutliple partners so please feel free to share your interest.

I believe I know enough then haha ^^ I cannot say I've ever watch those shows but I think I've seen enough of little bits and pieces to get my way through :)
The age is also fine by me! It doesn't matter really what age, for everyone is only as young as they feel- at least that's my thought on the subject.
So! How do we do this? Well, I suppose the question is how do you want to do this? Do you make bios or just go right in and describe the person along the way? (I myself am I bio person but I'm not a stranger to just jumping in)

I am also a big fan of bios. They help us map out our characters and with that the rest of the role play. I will get working on a short summery of my character and then you can post one for yours. I should have mine set up in a few minutes.

Name- Devin Coal

Personality - Devin is known to be popular and sensitive, with outstanding people skills. He is externally focused, with real concern for how others think and feel which leads to him either neglecting or straight out avoiding his own issues. This leads to him usually disliking being alone making him a somewhat chronic dater. He sees everything from the human angle, and dislike impersonal analysis which he sees as Smartphone viewing. Devin can be very effective at managing people issues, and leading group discussions. With an interested in serving others, and often placing the needs of others over his own needs Devin is a loved person by many he meets.

History – Coal grew up as the middle child to two sisters. His family lives comfortable, but is very much in the middle of middle class. After graduating from university he spent a year traveling and then returned to the city to use what he learned about himself while traveling to help plan his future. In the end he discovered that law school was the direction he wished to walk and after taking a mailroom job at a large law firm he also began school. While working as a mail boy he ended up falling for the daughter of one of the partners of the firm. He was young so when he fell he fell hard. It was a summer romance which ended when she left for her own dreams of law school. Promises were made to stay in touch and remain close, but after awhile Devin stopped hearing from her. Only after he talked to her father did he find out she had been selected for some advance internship and would not be returning home any time soon.

So with time Devin finally moved on with his life. His hard work and effort paid off and after graduating at the top of his class he finished his education on an exceptionally high note. With his degree earned he finally passed the bar and then headed out into the work force. It wasn’t until he found that he was being considered for an entry level position at one of the most prestigious firms in Boston that he started to plan on leaving home. What finally got him to take the extra step was his family whom he had wanted to stay close to, but with their support he packed up his life and flew to Boston. There waiting for him were 80 hour work weeks and hellish bosses. He was ready for it and had been prepared the day he took his first step towards becoming a lawyer. What he didn’t suspect was that an old flame was about to be reignited. That is if it doesn’t burn him first.

Name- Loreley Eva Grendel

Stands at about 5 foot 1.

Personality- Loreley isn't really herself most of the time. This doesn't mean she doesn't show some of her true colors- like her stubbornness and kindness, but it does mean she isn't quite as open as she seems with people. She's friendly, stubborn and fiery but polite to those she deeps worthy of her respect, and at times she even shows this respect to people she knows doesn't deserve it.
Sadly, this is only the outside of Loreley, a girl who hides what isn't needed- what she feels is unimportant. The poor girl is like this from many years under her father's close watch, but she can't bring herself to hate him. It wasn't his fault really, for she had the will to fight back if she wanted to, to fight what she believed in. This is a girl who doesn't stand for wrong doing. . .but when it comes to her wants, dreams, and wishes she holds back quite a great deal.
Loreley knows that working as a lawyer is good for her; well paid, able to take care of herself- she wants everyone to know she is strong. She wants her father, however, to know it most of all.
However, if you by some very rare chance get her to be her real self know that it does come out now and again, though it is always hidden by some sort of mask, or quickly covered up. Loreley's true self is one of pure innocence- a child at heart. Creative is all she is, a free spirit that loves to paint and write. She is also a people pleaser- though it depends on the people. She is still naive and believes that good will always win over evil, she is still clueless to things and because she doesn't know much about the real world she listens to her father most of the time. She doesn't quite understand that she is pretty much being a puppet. . .Deep down she is always scared of being alone or making someone she cares for upset with her. Loreley will act strong but can be weak on the inside; just another child trying to make someone she loves happy.

History-
Loreley grew up with a strict father and a kind mother. Before the age of 10 you would have known she was going to grow up to be just like her mother- fun loving, childish, and a lover of all that is life. Always wanting to make people happy, a good kid with a slightly devilish side at times. Her mother and herself were thick as thieves and loved dearly by Loreley's father.
Sadly, at the age of 11, her mother died of cancer. This left her father in a deep depression for quite awhile. After almost a year he started to come out of it, but the experience of losing her mother terrified her- that made her believe she may lose her father as well. So when he finally got out of his depression he set out to make sure that Loreley could take care of herself- which meant pushing her away from her true dreams of becoming an artist or writer.
Over the years Loreley did whatever her father asked of her, never complaining to him when she wasn't able to go where she wanted- like art classes or writing classes. She never told him, or anyone else how much she loves books, art, or writing. It's one of those things she keeps locked up.
She now works for the law, which she can't complain about for she is doing just fine and she can still do what she wants in her free time. She is helping people and making sure justice is served- though things may get rough when she sees Devin again.
