Ooparts (small group wanted, not first come first serve)
An Oopart is an out(O) of(o) place(p) artificat(art), an artifact of some variety that should not be found in a certain area. Like, a gun like design from the 1900s being found among the buried ruins of a medieval castle. Basically, a relic that is where it shouldn't be. Many believe that it's because the design was given to the group that possesses by an alien race or higher power, some supernatural intervention pretty much.
Well, there are more advance ooparts than just simple designs or weapons, but objects with massive amounts of power. Some with the ability to travel great distances in an instant, others with the ability to manipulate a material of some kind, and many others. These are the true ooparts, objects designed by some higher power given to earth to be used for unknown purposes. Some believe that they are the keys to evolution, others believe they are the reckoning of mankind. Hell, even some believe they are merely just the designs to be used for self satisfaction. Whatever they are here for is not a concern for you.
You are amongst the chosen, one who will use their Oopart to help better the world and contact the creators of the Ooparts, it is your destiny.
So, this rp will focus on a group of 4 or 5 friends (including me) that discover a group of Ooparts together, each person getting an Oopart of their own. Your oopart can be a weapon, object, anything that comes to your imagination, and it can have a single ability. Of course, what the ability itself does is open to experimentation, as long as it isn't OP I'll probably allow it.
What you can expect, interaction between the characters with their Ooparts, enemies to be fought, lives to be saved or sacrificed, basically the standard hero's journey that focuses on a group of young adults maturing quickly due to their circumstances. In the end, it'll be a culmination of many things that determine the fate of the world.
The setting is modern day US, probably east coast, Upstate area (New York, New Hampshire, etc.)
Once we get some interest, I'll setup an OOC where anyone interested can apply. At most, I'll choose four people to rp with me, and it's not first come first serve. After a day or two, I'll decide who's in and who isn't.
