Necessary Evils
Well as you can see this is the OOC Topic for Necessary Evils, this RP is currently open!
And now I'm just going to be cheap and add some Copy Pasta, cause I'm cheap like that
~~
It's December 1991 and the Soviet Union has just collapsed, you happen to be in the business of International Arms dealings. It's your job to arm the highest bidder with the means to unleash mass destruction upon the defenseless masses. Because of that you're universally hated by just about the entire world - but you don't care about that, after all they aren't your clients. With the fall of the Soviet Union comes a brand new, and even more importantly an untouched market of untold fortune has just arisen. How you go about acquiring said fortune, is well, up to you.
I would be looking for a few players, a few Dealers and few Government agents of some kind, who are tasked with the downfall of said Dealers. Not only that, but the Dealers don't exactly like each other, so you have to compete with one another. Sounds like fun, right? Well I hope it does.
So, who's up for selling a few hundred-thousand AK's?
Characters:
Arms Dealers.
Agents.
Character Sheet:
General.
Name:
Age:
Sex:
Appearance:
Dealer or Agent:
Arms Dealer
Experience: Explain who you have armed in your time as a Dealer. Africa's always been a good market.
Speciality: Do you sell small arms, tanks, planes, explosives or all of them?
Means of Transport: You've got to get the product from point A to point B somehow, is by land, air or sea?
Price: This is a simple three answer field, low, medium or high. This depends on your reputation, and what kind of product you sell. If you're pushing AK's and asking for top-dollar, your not going to get very far. However, someone selling some MiG's for low is going to be losing money.
Time as a Dealer: Make sure this one makes sense, no one who's been dealing for a year is going to be pushing tanks or Jets.
Respected Dealer: Yes or No answer, this details whether people want to do business with you. Someone who is known for selling too African warlords might not be a welcome fellow in other markets.
Agent
Service Record: Detail here who as a Agent, you've taken down, and such.
Agency: Who does your Agent answer to?
Training: Explain here what training your Agent has. Most Agents aren't going to know how to handle a Assault rifle, never mind a Sniper Rifle. So keep it sane.
Speciality:What does your Agent actually do?
Weapon of Choice: If I see someone putting an Katana here. I will find you, and kill you.
Feel free to add any other fields you think should be added, I don't make a habit of constructing CS's, so I'm a bit rusty.
Also, feel free to make up information and people for the Experience and Service Record fields.

Is there any current history of current arms dealers? People we could turn to for advice? NPC's to compete with? Or even ones we could work for?
Is there an open black market, where all the shady characters go to? Where we could recruit mercenaries? hire thugs? things like that?
Sorry, lot of questions I know!

Name: Johannes ter Horst
Age: 51
Sex: Male
Appearance: A dignified older white man with graying hair in a flattop and a propensity for the color purple.
Dealer
Experience: Horst cut his teeth as an arms dealer under the auspices of the apartheid government in South Africa, used as a contact to sell arms to anti-Communist forces such as RENAMO, UNITA, and Rhodesian settlers. Sensing that the winds of change are currently against the apartheid government, Horst is looking to go into business for himself, seeing the inherent opportunities in the changing world. He is particularly interested by the idea of supplying organized crime.
Speciality: Horst specializes in military-grade small arms, up to and including such weapons as light machine guns, mortars, and RPGs.
Means of Transport: Horst primarily ships by land but has limited access to marine transport.
Price: Medium
Time as a Dealer: Fourteen years, having began in 1977
Respected Dealer: Horst is known as a professional and trustworthy dealer.
Let me know if this needs any changes.

Old laptops suck ...
Sorry for not posting earlier.
@Vulture: I see no problems with your application, consider yourself accepted.
@Yeovilty: I was hoping for a mostly 'free-form' RP, where people did whatever they wanted of their own accord, but thinking about it, well, that isn't a good idea. It's not that easy to work with either.
If you wanted, I could work on how to work in a plot for the Arms Dealers, and well the plot for the Agents is self explanatory.

No need to apologize!
No worries, I'm just new to it all, so was just wondering. I'll sort out a character sheet!
