Chase was one of the more detached members of the group; maybe because he didn't have a lot in common with most of them. They were all living exciting lives, and they were all gay. He was studying to be a radio wave engineer and working in retail. He didn't seem to mind that much, though; he still considered them close friends.
She looked down and got in. She sat next to Chase, but was as far away from him as possible. It's not like she didn't like him. He was a sweet guy. It's just that she wasn't comfortable around straight men.
Chase noticed. He'd always noticed that Serenity acted that way toward him, and it was always off-putting to him. He didn't question it, though. He figured she just didn't like him, maybe because of his anger-management. That wasn't a new experience for him, it happened more often than not. He wouldn't shed light on the situation, he didn't want to make things hard for the group as a whole. He would just let it slide, as always.
Kendall slid in beside Serenity, noticing that she was sitting a little ways from Chase. Kendall sighed silently. he would try to smooth things over later, when he got a chance to get Chase by himself.
Luca mid-journey kept thinking about the trip, what if it was a bad idea.. He was looking forwards for it but all of these what if? questions kept popping up into his head. Shaking his head violently trying to try and 'shake' them from his head somehow, although this wasn't possible it always seemed to work for him and made him drift onto a different topic. His next was about romance, what if he met someone.. Someone the same sexuality as him! That'd be great, he'd sure have a good time then but he knew the thought of his dead friend will always come and flutter back to his times having fun.
Pulling up he parked to the right of the door, pushing his glasses up onto his forehead and resting his feet onto the floor as the large door of his car swung open. His shoes crunched as they landed on the stone floor outside. Noticing a little group of people, he let out a small wave, flashing his small wrist tattoo that read: Mum&Dad! It was unique but they were the two most important people to him in his whole life. Letting out a cough into his fist, he shut the door with his hip, the door slamming shut rather loudly. The nose echoing around signalling his arrival, Luca let out an awkward smile as the sound faded, leaving his bags in his car and making his way over to the group.
Serenity glanced at Chase and made a soft sigh. "I-I'm sorry" she said quietly. It was so hard for her to say that. She couldn't talk much with straight guys. It was so hard. Before she knew Kendall was gay, she would avoid him at all costs.
"Sorry for what?" He blinked, looking innocent. He wasn't about to make things hard. As Luca approached, Chase grinned. "Hey, look who it is!"
