Literature

As avid reader, I here by open up literature thread so we can discuss what are we reading, what will we read, analyze our books and discuss some ideas and concepts that you've read in your books.
Books I have read in last month or so -
* Jack London - Martin Eden
* J.V. Goethe - Sufferings of young Werther.
* H.G. Wells - War of the Worlds.

Books that I am reading right now -
* Lev Tolstoy - War and peace.
* Jack London - Iron Heel.
* J.V. Goethe - Faust.
* Some Soviet Russian writer - When the sun was god ( book about early gods in ancient Babylon, Egypt etc., pretty good literature, although it has sense of university to it and the book feels like a good pick for academic )

Books I want to be in my possession -
* Epic poem called Paradise Lost.
* Ayn Rand - Atlas Shrugged.
* Some Nietzsche works and individualistic philosophy books in general.
* Kantor - critique of pure thought.
If you can get me a good PDF for these, I'd be glad.

Jack London was very active socialist, but his most interesting character who was actually based on the London himself was Martin Eden who rejected socialism calling it slave mentality. Thoughts?

I'm currently reading "Looking for alaska" By John Green. It was recommended by a friend. I'm more into comic books and entertain weekly. But so far this book so a pretty good read.

Atlas Shrugged was... intersting. Ayne Rand has a very skewed perception of humanity and while well written it was so offputtingly Super Capitalists that i wondered if she had any knowledge of the outside world at all. But, Its a msut read for anyone who has intersted in modern social economics.

I finished reading Crime and Punishment. Russian Authors have been taking up alot of my time lately. The melancholic, heavy tone of the books speak to me alot.

I haven't actually read any of the books on your list, but I love Politics and studying ideology, so I might give a few of them a go, when I have time.
My favourite books would have to be:
Battle Royale
Cell- Stephen King
Misery- Stephen King
The Hobbit- Tolkien
Harry Potter Series

Russian authors have very interesting perspective. My father used to read lot of Russian books about street life and they mostly included drugs, prostitution and desperation caused by all these degenerate things.

I have read all Harry Potter books except the Chamber of Secrets. I've read Hobbit as a child.
I love books about politics too. Niccolo Machiavelli wrote a very good book about politics - The Prince - Although it was meant for Renaissance reader, you can compare politics back then to modern situation and they are almost the same.

For someone as lit heavy as you I suggest Watchmen for something that is hero based. Swamp thing and Hellblazer if you like heavy, dark theme stuff and The Sandman series if you want something that's really nice, and pleasent on the eyes. killing Joke is essential Batman and Red Son is a fantastic Superman comic.

Most of this I just suggested is tied to Alan Moore, one of the worlds finest comic writers and a legit madman. Some of it is tied to Neil Gaiman. Who is simply damn good.

I can assure I will try them. Are there any good sites where I can get good comics and is there's any program to view to pleasantly?

There are several comic reading programs you can use. as for where to find them online. I cannot go further into that. Legal reasons.

YES! Your life will forever be changed for the better. All of John Green's books are fantastic. You should also check out his Youtube channel he does with his brother Hank. Vlogbrothers
Hank also teaches educational stuff in Crash Course
The first book I read by him was Paper Towns. He also wrote a book with Lauren Myracle and Maureen Johnson called Let it Snow. And I have The Fault in Our Stars signed by him. <3
I'm obviously a huge Nerdfighter xD

Anywho, back to books...

I'm currently reading Paint it Black by Janet Fitch.
