Valarie sat on the curb with her face buried in her hands, sobbing quietly. Passerby made sure to avoid the crying girl, and a few people would slow down to sort of gawk at her. Valarie didn't seem to care; she continued to cry for a few minutes before raising her tear stained face to the world once again. Blonde hair hung in her eyes, and black trailed down her face from where the tears had made her eyeliner bleed. Using her the sleeve of her checkered jacket, she wiped the tears from her eyes, and picked up her school bag.
