Scott Pilgrim: Precious Little Roleplay (reboot Ic)

"Ready......Set......Go!". Lola pushed herself forward with her left leg. Her skates glided surprisingly smooth on the rough pavement of her city's streets. Lola dashed through the first half of the shopping center. A woman with white hair stepped out of a shop holding a cake and two shopping bags. Lola almost hit one of her large shopping bags ,but thankfully she ducked under it. "Think you could go a little faster" The Woman yelled sarcastically. "I don't know lets find out" Lola replied back speeding up.

With all this commotion Lola did not notice her opponent gaining quickly on her. Lola knew a sharp turn was about to come up in the map ,and she had just the trick up her sleeve. As they turned the corner Lola pushed her opponent into a wall gaining the lead easily. Lola turned her head and smirked at her friend. As she was turned however she accidentally ran into a boy that looked about her age ,and was wearing a bow tie with an interesting necklace. "Well hello Bow tie" Lola quickly flirted. "Hey Lolly eat my super sonic dust" Her opponent yelled over while passing her. "Oh gotta go I got a Race to win" Lola added quickly leaving the boy and getting back to the race.

It took much work ,but Lola caught up with her opponent. "Hey Enterprise feeling tired ?I bet you wish you could regenerate now" Lola teased. "In your dreams Lolly.I would never use such a loose and convenient plot device" Her opponent named Enterprise replied quickly with a huffed voice. " I'll make you eat those words" Lolly threatened back. She sped up ,and thankfully her strong suit was coming up.

Lola entered the skatepark with what she was sure were flames following her. "Get out of the way" Lola yelled. A few people listened to her warning ,but it seemed the important one didn't. A boy with worn out skates much like Lola's still skated on obliviously. As she sped forward and yelled again he finally noticed. The boy ducked quickly. Using the already set up ramp in front of her Lola jumped over the crouching man. " watch out dude" Lola yelled back at him.

Lola was getting very close to the finish line and she couldn't help but get excited. Enterprise had almost caught up with Lola. As Lola was about to reach the last hill a man walked out of the local bar. His stark black hair stood on end as Lola swerved around him. A screeching sound was heard through out the area, coming from Lola's skates. "Go home dude your drunk" Lola yelled back to the man with a laugh.

Lola tightened her knees inward and gain momentum as she headed down hill . Enterprise had caught up.With Lola's last fumble and they were now neck and neck. Crossing the finish line Lola yelled "Allonsey". "Winner Lolly" One of Lola's teamates yelled. "Alright Enterprise take it back" Lola teased pointing her finger on her friend. "Fine, The doctor's regeneration is a completely legitimate and fully explained plot device" Enterprise huffed out annoyed. "And don't you ever forget it" Lola laughed out. "Well guys I gotta be off" Lola added heading off. " where you headed to" Enterprise yelled after her. "Joystick of course, it's our first meeting" Lola yelled excitedly.

Chris, with a slight buzz, got up from the bar. His friend Jacob steadied him as he almost tripped over an empty bottle on the ground, when he got balanced, he started looking around. The dingy bar was filled with smoke and frustration, but it was cheap and open all night (Even though it was daytime). Jacob said to Chris "Dude, why the heck are drinking anyway, you have the big project you need to do for your job?" Chris replied "I only had ONE beer, gawd" Jacob looks around "You can't hold your liquor dude, 1 is like 10 for you" Chris snapped back "I can hold my liquor, I HAVE HANDS DON'T I?" Laughing at his own (lame) joke he said "I got to get going, I saw a a kewl poster for a club called "Joystick and I wan't to go to the meeting today". Jacob said, while walking to the door "We aren't in highschool dude, why are you joining a club?" Walking out first, Chris says "Dude it looked kewl, and I just want to check it out, plus I wan't to pass out my new business car-" Chris saw a flash of brown, as a person wizzed by him, making him reel back, he heard "Dudek go home, your drunk". He looked, and saw a girl with brown hair and roller-blading gear on.

As she speed off, he mumbled under his breath "Its just a buzz". He reached for his backpack (Bag of Holding) and pulled out a poster (He stole it from a wall) Jacob looked over his shoulder at the poster "Joystick huh? Well, have fun, I'm going to go to work, stop by if you want some free tacos afterwards "meeting". " Chris watched as his best friend Jacob walked down the road, way shorter than him and having short brown hair, he was a hard-working guy and always serious, unlike Chris, its like magnets, opposites attract you know? He was he only friend when his parents left, and still his friend now, thats some commitment.

He shook his head, and slapped himself. It was supposed to make your buzz go away, but instead he just felt the slap. Letting out some air, he started walking to the library, hey worst case scenario, he could just pretend to be looking for a book, he even thought of some names of books that he would say if someone questioned him, he would say Ender's Game or Ready Player One, both amazing books, and he had them both in hard cover at his house. As he walked he relized he was coming out of his buzz, he stilled smelled a little of booz, and hasn't fully sober, but he was better. He was on the road of the library, he he got to the steps he stopped. He hadn't really met with people outside of Jacob, and wasn't very charismatic, he gathered his courage and walked up the steps, and into the library, and looked for the meeting.

Daniel was heading to the store to pick up some grocery's for the week. He hadn't met any new people since he arrived in town, that was one of the reason's he was going to head to this 'Joystick' gaming club. He wasn't sure why he wanted to get dressed up for that but, he did. Wearing a button up shirt, a pair of jeans, a dressy jacket, and for some odd reason a bow tie. Normally he didn't like bow ties, but he felt like wearing it for once. Daniel reached up and wrapped his hand around his necklace, looking down at the silver design in his hand.

As he starred down at the silver necklace around his neck a girl dressed in brown and wearing roller skates collided with him. He staggered back words barely able to regain his composure before he fell. He heard the girl retort "Well Hello Bow Tie." than take off as another girl passed her. "Hi there cute Rollerblade girl." he muttered as he watched her skate on. He stood there watching the girl for a short time before continuing on 'I hope I get to meet her again' he thought to himself as he rounded the corner to the shop.

He took of his bow tie and looked at it, it was a clip on tie, not the fanciest thing in the world the tie was a dark satin black color "I really don't want to be known as the guy with the bow tie." He tossed the bow tie in the air watching it as it dropped. He caught it in his hand and tossed it onto the roof of the nearest building.

Ohmanohmanohmanohmanohmanohmanohmanohmanohmanohman ohman!!! Marcus thought as his walking speed began to increase, almost to the point of running. Why did I think that three Mocha-Choco's and a bran-muffin was a good idea for today?!? I've gotta find a bathroom, and fast!! As he began to run through the crowd of people gathered on the sidewalk, he exclaimed various apologies. "Sorry, excuse me, pardon me ma'am, coming through, watch yourself!!" His speed was now increased to running, but he suddenly remembered he had his skateboard. He threw it on the ground, and jumped on it, quickly speeding off to find a public access bathroom. He would've just used the bathroom in the many restaurants and shops he passed by, but he had spent all of his money on breakfast and a vintage Les Paul gutair (even though he didn't know much about playing it, and dipped $500 into the months rent to pay the rest)

He borded past a skatepark on his quest, where he noticed a strange race that seemed to concern two women had just ended, with one of the girls loudly announcing a gathering or event called "Joystick". He shrugged it off, paying more attention to his full bladder, and quickly increased his speed, almost knocking over a drunk he passed along the way. "Woah!! Sorry man, I didn't see you there" Marcus yelled as he sped past the drunk, and grabbed the backside of a car, hoping to gain some more speed. As he flew past, he saw a guy toss a rediculous looking bow-tie onto the roof of a nearby building. He raised an eyebrow, as he let go of the car and smacked into the side of a wall, stumbling backwards.

"AGHHH!!" He half yelled, half groaned in pain. He rubbed his nose, the impact had been directly on the tip. "I Ghink Dit's Boken" he said to himself, not being able to speak properly as he held his nose. He twisted it to the right, and felt a large snap, which was followed by an enormous scream of agony. He scrunkled his face a bit, starting to get feeling back into it. "Okay.. Better." He said, rubbing the small bump on the head he had recieved from the wall. He looked up at the building, now slightly annoyed then anything else. "Who's brilliant idea was it to put a freaking library in the middle of the street?!?! Someone could have..." He thought to himself for a minute, before getting the words. "AND HAS, gotten hurt from the poor judgement of the
location. I should sue the place." He suddenly realized something. Perhaps his journey was not in vain, and he quickly whipped out his wallet.

Yes!! He pulled out his local library card (which was right next to a photoshopped picture of Mega-Man, with his face being replaced by Marcus's). Man, what're the chances!! I mean, one minute I'm looking at that idiot with a bow-tie, and the next, I find a public facility that doesn't take cash, and lets me use the toilet if I show them a card with my name on it!! This is awesome!! and with that last thought, he ran into the library, and proceeded to his duty.


5 Minutes Later...

Marcus emerged from the bathroom, a smile of content on his face. He zipped his pants back up, and let out a sigh of relief. "Dude," he said to himself. "That, was a close one!!" As he began to walk out of the library, he noticed a sign that immediately caught his attention. "Huh, what's this? Joystick. Hmm... Looks like some kind of gaming club, interesting. Oh! It says that they're meeting today, and anyone is welcome to join!! Cool! Guess I'm the first one here... I'll just wait for the others to show up..." Marcus then sat down, grabbed a copy of Enders Game, and began to read while he waited.

Joplin stood at the checkout counter. The woman who was ringing up her groceries was being RIDICULOUSLY slow. She tapped her foot and stared the woman down impatiently. "Honey, I'm in a hurry" she nagged. The cashier woman looked at her apathetically. "I'm doing the best I can, Mam" she said, sounding incredibly annoyed. As her things were finally bagged and rung up, she grabbed the bags (and the cake) and bolted out the sliding doors of the grocery. A young woman slipped quickly underneath her, and zoomed past almost as fast as she'd come. Joplin lost her balance and almost dropped all of her things. However, she expertly caught herself. She looked off at the brown haired young woman "Think you can go any faster?!" she yelled after her. People like that just made Joplin want to scream! She shoved all of her things in the car and flew into the drivers side, buckling herself with a swift flick of her wrist. She zoomed out of the parking lot and went whizzing into traffic, which was no big deal at first. As she got closer to the library though, traffic started to get worse and worse until she came to a complete stand still. As her car halted, Joplin yelled "DAMMIT!" She was going to be late! She was the god damn leader of the club! Would they all just leave if she didn't show up? Traffic dragged on, and on, and on, and ON! Joplin huffed and groaned the whole way there, entirely pissed that she was going to be VERY VERY late. Finally, she pulled into the library parking lot. Once she was parked, she was again BOLTING out of her car and in through the front doors. She was breathing hard, huffing and wheezing by the time she made it to the front desk. "Hello" she said "I'm Joplin, and I'm here with the Joystick club. I need keys to the conference room. Do you need to see my I.D.?" The woman smiled at her "We already unlocked the door for you. Here's the keys so you can lock up when you're done" she said. "You have NO idea how helpful that is. Thank you SO sosososososos sooooo much!" she said, graciously receiving the keys and again bolting for the conference room.

As Marcus was just getting to the good part, he saw a woman run by the door, heading for the conference room. He put the book down, and grabbed his board. He walked quietly over to her as she ran, and continued to follow until they reached the door. He didn't know what to make of her. Was she the owner of the club, or perhaps a leading member? For all he knew, she could've been from an entirely different club. Nevertheless, he continued to follow her to the point of practically being right behind the woman.

Marcus had always been a bit awkward when it came to talking with people, especially those he didn't know. He was even more awkward when it came to talking to women (aside from his mother, step-sister and girlfriends) and always nervous about what he should and shouldn't say, even if he was just saying hello as he passed by or making coffee shop conversation. Alright Robertson, think. She's rushing, she looks like she's gonna collapse from exhaustion at ANY moment, so sneaking up behind her is probably not the best solution. She obviously didn't see you, or maybe she thought you were just here for a good book. Doesn't matter. Okay uh... I got it!! Lets try the "Professional Approach" Marcus nodded as he finished his thought, and quietly crept over to the nearby water fountain. He then turned it on and acted as if he had been by the door the whole time. As he watched the woman walk to the conference room door, he turned off the fountain, cleared his throat and said very calmly and maturely "Excuse me miss, are you here for the Joystick gaming club?"

Unfortunately, that was what happened in Marcus's head. Instead, after looking at the woman as clearing his throat, what came out was a small almost high pitched scream that sounded closer to this:

"Aaaaaaa.... AreyouhereforJoystickbecauseitlookslikethatswhatyo urhereforandIreallydon'tknowwhatI'mdoingrightnowan dI'mfreakingout.."

After realizing just how stupid he must've sounded, he quickly extended his hand and said in his normal voice "Sorry.. I-I'm Marcus. Are y-you here for J-Joystick?"

Daniel walked into the grocery store the door dinging as he opened it and walked in 'now than, what is it i needed? ah right! energy drinks and food for tonight' He smiled as he walked through the isle filled with energy drinks and snacks. picking his favorite type of drink, Red bull, he went over and picked up a couple things of ramen noodles, his face switching from a smile to a look distaste. He didn't know how to cook, so instant ramen was the only thing he had been eating for the past couple days. 'Oh well, it's better than not eating' He thought with a shrug, he grabbed a couple packages of different flavors and went to the check out.

After checking out Daniel pulled out his phone to look at the time 'OH SHIT!' I am late!' he thought to himself as he took off 'where was the club meeting at?'. Daniel pulled out a red bull popped the tab and took a drink, 'That's right! It's at the library!', Daniel finished off his red bull and took off towards the library. Running back the way he came, he ran through a don't walk sign leaping over a car as it slammed on its breaks. "Sorry dude!" he yelled back as he ran on.

Daniel reached the Library taking a breather outside the doors, he walked into the Library heaving as he caught his breathe. He turned towards the Librarian "Where... is... the .... Joystick....meeting?" Daniel asked still trying to breath. The Librarian looked up and pointed towards the conference room, "right over there." The librarian said. Daniel walked on after being pointed in the right direction "Thanks... ma'am." he said continuing on to the conference room. Daniel walked into the conference room smiling, he waved to the two others in the room "Hey I'm Daniel, is this the, uh Joystick club?"

Joplin was taken aback. She blinked a few times her neck stretched back. Her mind slowly made out what the boy had said. "Yes" she told him slowly still not sure if she had answered his question correctly. "Why don't you come with me ,and help me set up or something" Joplin shrugged. She entered the conference room , and She set down her various food items on already set up tables. "Do you mind setting up the food while I grab some chairs" Joplin asked. She waited a moment for a reply then said "Okay thanks be back in a sec"

Lola sped down to the library re tracing her skid marks. Lola pulled out a red sucker ,and stuck it in her mouth. She pulled it out with a 'pop'. she made a mhhhm sound as she bit her bottom lip in joy. Lola heard a whistle as she passed a group of boys her age. "In your dreams dude. I beat girls stronger then you" she yelled out to them ,and sped away with a famous cutsey giggle. Lola ended up at the library a good five minuets later her blood red lollipop still in her mouth. Lola rolled by the front desk getting an annoyed look by one of the workers. "This is a library not a roller rink"The woman said under her breath. Lola simply rolled on. As she went down the glossy library halls she picked up speed. At the end of the hall was the conference room so Lola saw no harm. Unfortunately the floor were so glossy when she got close to the door she couldn't stop herself. Lola ended up running into a boy landing on him with a 'thud'. Lola looked up to see her victim ,and couldn't help but giggle a bit. "Are we always going to meet like this she asked between laughs. "Oh and hello to you to" Lola added out stretching her hand to the other boy in the room.

Daniel staggered backwards after someone collided with his side, as he turned to yell at them to watch where they were going he saw who it was. It was the skater babe from earlier 'well damn, I'm liking this club more and more every minute.' He thought to himself. Daniel laughed at the Rollerblade chicks joke "Well that's technically up to you, since you're the one who runs into me." He replied back at her jokingly. He smirked and dusted himself off, and checked his necklace to make sure it was still there.

Marcus heard a sudden thump that came when two people collided together, and he quickly turned around to see that idiot with a bow-tie from earlier (while the bow-tie was gone, however, Marcus still wondered about his clothing choice.) and a very attractive skater girl about his age. He place down the last thing of snacks, a bag of nacho flavoured Dorietos, and quickly rushed over to make sure nobody was injured. "Holy crap!!" Marcus exclaimed, walking quickly over to them. "Are you guys okay?" He looked over them quickly with his eyes. Although he didn't know much about medicine or even bodily damage, he could see that neither of them had suffered any sort of injury. He sighed slightly Wouldn't want somebody getting hurt!!! That's just a lawsuit WAITING to happen he thought. Almost instantly, when the girl spoke to him, he almost completely froze up. His mouth went dry, his hands got clamy and it seemed like his voice was instantly taken from his throat.

Dude, just calm down. It's obvious that she's hot and friendly, but don't pull another "Julia". Marcus thought insanely quickly She's probably here for Joystick, and so is the other guy. Just introduce yourself, and act friendly, that's it. Besides, she probably gets hit on by tons of other guys, so what's the point of YOU hitting on her. Just act natural Marcus, and everything will be fine.

Rather then a high pitched squeaking sound coming from his voice, he spoke as naturally as he usually did, but obviously had a hint of nervousness mixed with a shy tone in his voice. "Oh, hey. Uh, I'm Marcus Robertson... Are you guys here for Joystick? Oh wait, of course you guys are, I mean why ELSE would you be in this room, and then the whole door-thing wouldn't have... Then you wouldn't be.. Then I would... Yeah... But anyways, Hey..."

Under his breath he quickly added, very shyly "Nice to meet you fancy looking dude, and very attractive skater girl.."
