The school day had just ended and Daniel had to stay after class to grade some papers and for a staff meeting. When he did arrive home he found a few of his students on his porch talking and listening to some songs from his laptop, they greeted him as if they lived there which was kind of true. Having his house open to his students Daniel found that many of them just started to stay longer and longer until he woke up some mornings and found some in the living room or in the four guest rooms he had.

“Hey Daniel! Meeting again?” Tiff, one of the girls from his fourth period, asked as she sat up and smiled at the older man.
“Yeah, lucky for me. Anyway you guys should get instead, it’s going to start raining soon and I rather not have dogs and cats running back in here. Again.” He smirked at his students as he went inside. Four more kids sat on the couch well a few others on the ground, a horror movie playing on the flat screen. Smirking Daniel just started up the stairs and found the upper level might be empty for once. Going straight to his bedroom the 25 year old started to change out from his work clothes into some loose-fitted sweats and t-shirt.

“Daniel! Can we order pizza?” someone called from downstairs. Sometimes it really did feel like the kids were actually his. He was feeding them, maybe a reason they didn’t leave, and for a few was clothing them. Sometimes he was too nice.

“Sure, I’ll pay for it—Order just a cheese one for me!” he shouted back as he started back down the stairs. Stopping when he heard a cat he sighed softly looking back “Must have left the window open again.” Shaking his head the man started back up the steps. If it wasn’t one thing it was another.

"What have I told ya about sittin' in ma chair?"
"Oh rack off! I'm going!"
A brunette teen stomped angrily from the living room towards the kitchen, closing his notebook and tucking it under his arm. He grabbed a glass from the cupboard and got some water from the sink, hoping the cold water would cool his temper.
"Honey, you know how your father gets," his mother put a hand on his shoulder as she paused in making dinner.
'Yeah and you just let him treat me like vermin' the boy thought angrily.
Suddenly, he knew if he stayed here a moment longer, his calm would break and he'd be even more despised.
"I'm going to Pal's," he growled, slamming the glass down and marching towards the front door. He grabbed his worn messenger bag and stuffed his notebook inside and was out the door before his parents could protest. Not that they would, they hated having him around almost as much as he hated being home.
He was halfway down the block when he remembered Pal said he was going to Daniel's today, something about finally making his move on that sheila. Good thing his teacher lived nearby.
"Hey Arden! You made it!" the brunette found his best friend perched in the entryway, chatting with a pretty blonde girl.
"Yeah, thought I could write here, home's depressing," Arden shrugged, Pal nodded sympathetically. Arden punched his friend's shoulder and smiled before shuffling past them into the living room. He leaned against a wall before sliding down to the floor and began to pull out his writing notebook when he thought that maybe history homework was a better idea.

No one notice the new member that joined the house, they all were too busy staring at the TV and holding whoever was beside them. There was a loud crash from up stairs and everyone's eyes quickly looked at the stair case. Coming down first was a white cat and then Daniel "Haha! Chasing a pussy Daniel?" a boy shouted as Daniel made it down the steps and quickly scooped up the cat.
"Yup, and unlike you, I was able to get a pussy." the man grinned as he went to the sliding glass door and allowed the cat out. Coming back in his eyes moved to Arden who sat on the floor, smiling he gave a wave before the questions started to come from Ginger. The crash had been a vase of flowers from the hall way and it turned out someone left the window open again and another cat got in. Yawning Daniel joined the kids on the floor and leaned against the couch.

"So, what have I missed so far? I mean besides the sex, blood, gore, drugs, lame pick-up lines, and someone shouting for the girls not to go into pool house were the killer is."
"The bitch getting lit up and then cut in half."
"Ah, well then I came just in time." Daniel smirked. Looking over to Arden Daniel whistled "You wanna come join watch the movie? We're waiting for some pizza to come."

The Australian looked at the TV screen and rolled his eyes, "Horror movies are pointless, why'dja wanna get scared on purpose? You're all whackers," he smiled and scribbled something on the paper in his lap. "Or is it just an excuse to grope each other?"
Arden hated scary movies, not because they frightened him, but because they were so predictable and unfufilling, he'd totally rather watch a historical drama or even a romantic comedy because at least then he could get ideas for his writing.

"I think its just an excuse to grope each other." Daniel laughed, a girl yelped and grabbed onto the boy beside her as the killer started to chase the teens around. Shaking his head the man stood up and grabbed his wallet from the table "Well, I'm going to my study. You all have a test on Monday and I hope you all are studying for it, it is worth at least 100 points." he warned his students. Going to the back of the house the teacher sighed entered his study. The room was filled with books about history and fiction. He had a small TV in there as well with some old VHS tapes of old broadcasts from the history programs.
He really was a nerd when it came to history, he could have been an encyclopedia of history if wanted to be.

Arden watched his teacher leave the room, subtly checking out his ass. Hey, it was a free country and Daniel had a nice ass, so there.
Green eyes slid back to his classmates just as another scream emitted from the television. Ugh, home was almost better than this noise. He stood, shoving his stuff back in his bag before wandering in the direction Daniel left. He rapped his knuckles on the doorframe, "Hey mate, the mob out there is too loud and I'm feeling conchy, can I study in 'ere?" he smiled and stuffed his hands in the pockets of his cargo shorts.

Checking over some homework Daniel groaned softly as he came to his first period's work, he doubted that he could pass through it all. Every student in theree seemed to love to make Daniel read three pages of nonsense. Looking up when he heard Arden he smiled, it would be nice to have company "Sure, come on in."

"Thanks," Arden's smile widened and he moved in, shutting the door behind him, muting any noise from the rest of the house. He looked around as he shuffled to sit on the couch, "This room is ace!" his eyes roved the books on the shelves. He set his bag down and retrieved his history book and half-started essay, but that got put aside as a book on ancient Greece caught his eye. He pulled the book off the shelf and opened it, "Yeah, I've decided, this is ma favorite room evah."

Daniel chuckled softly and nod "I would have guess, you're my best student, not to mention how much time you seem to be into those books.. well you're welcome into this room anytime." He said. Walking over Daniel pulled out another book "You could have that one if you like, I have a copy of it."

"My friends call me the history nut," Arden smirked. He was proud of his grades and being called Daniel's best student? That was enough to keep him smiling for a week.
"Really?" he shifted the book in his hands with a shy smile, "Thanks, I'm writin' a book that takes place in Greece, this should help a corkin' lot," he slipped the book into his bag.
