The Reunion( Jones Sparrow and Nydie) IC

Jason Hunt walked into a dark room, pistol raised. He wore a black sweater, jeans, and leather shoes. The house was still and silent as he walked through. Suddenly a noise was heard, and Jason spun to the sound but then was punched in the face. The pistol fell loose as he was stunned, then immediately went back up. Both flight to the gun, pulling them back or throwing something at each other to keep them from doing so. Jason managed to get there. He dove, turned then fired a silenced shot in the chest. After collecting himself, he went further into the house, and into the basement. There was a woman tied up next to the old boiler, he rushed to her screaming body, slowly taking the gag out of her mouth. "Bomb!" She yelled. He looked up at a time bomb counting down. 30 seconds on the clock. Jason cut her bonds and picked her up, rushing up the stairs and out of the house. As soon as they got out of the door the house exploded, sending both of them into the sky.

"Alright people, that's a wrap for today!" Someone yelled on the set. Jason hunt got up and smiled at the woman who he "saved." Although he was a fairly old actor, he always insisted on doing his own stunts. He walked off set, looking at his planner... Nothing. You would expect for a celebrity to have dates, or dinners, or award shows to go on.. He hasn't been on a real date in years, and had no real relationship for longer. He looked at the planner again, realizing an event coming up soon... His high school reunion.

Jessica flopped down on her couch with a sigh of exhaustion. Without her son home, the house was unusually quiet and she was taking full advantage of it. Work had been a nightmare, and all she wanted to do was rest her achy feet, drink a glass of wine and fall asleep watching Conan. Unfortunately for her, the phone had other ideas. Growling at the ringing device, she snatched it up from its cradle and hit the on button before even looking at the caller ID.

"Hello?" She greeted in with a slur.

"Hey Jess, I know you just got home but Sarah called out for tomorrow morning and I was wondering..."the male voice over the phone hesitated, and Jessica knew exactly why. Of course, work would call her in on her day off, it happened almost all the time.

"Fine, but this is the last time." She replied, using the same line she used every time they called. 'One of these days I'll say no...well, maybe once I hit the lottery.'

"Thank Jess, you're a doll. See ya tomorrow." Before she could respond she was greeted by the dialtone signaling that the caller had already hung up.

"Screw you too, jerk." She snapped at the phone as she tossed in onto her coffee table.

With another sigh she got to her feet. Her wine would have to wait for her next night off, which at the rate she was going wouldn't be for another few weeks. 'Oh yeah, the reunion. At least I know I'll be off for sure then.' She thought to herself as she walked toward her bedroom. Ten minutes later she was lying face down on her bed, sound asleep.

Jason went back to his pent house apartment in LA. He threw his keys on the couch, he looked at the sunset of on the each, smiling a bit, his mind going back to the reunion... He hasn't talked to his friends for twenty years... Way too long for someone to do that. He looked at his phone... The last time he saw his friends was at the old beach house they went to every weekend... A giant rope swing near the lake side, a bonfire on the beach, snoozing on the lake house couch on a lazy day with Jessica laying on him... Twenty years apart and she was the last relationship he had. She probably got over him, had a family, and happy life with someone else... He passed that thought aside.

He immediately called the lame house owners, telling them who he was and asking them if he oils rent the house. They happily agreed. Once he got done with payment he started calling his long lost friends. After a couple hours talking about lost times, he finally called everyone, except for Jessica. He stared at the phone, tapping on the table, thinking if he should... He pressed the call button, put it to his ear and paced back and forth.

Thinking about the reunion has brought back memories of happier times. She was lucky enough to reconnect with most of her friends from high school when she moved closer to her hometown. There was only one person missing from the picture, and it was the memory of him that filled her dreams. He had for sometime, even when she has first started dating her ex husband. Since she had gotten divorced, her thought of him increased along with her loneliness. Jessica felt a bit pathetic about it, but a dream guy was better than a real one. After all, chances were he had changed and would be nothing like the boy she had adored all throughout high school. Better to dream about him the way he was then be disappointed with reality.

She could hear the ring, but she really didn't want to get up and answer it. She wouldn't have either, if her brain hadn't reminded her of her son's absence. Rolling off the bed and onto her feet, she half walked, half shuffled to th couch where her phone was. Scooping it up she pressed the talk button and put the phone to her ear. "Hello?" She replied groggily.

Jason's heart skipped a beat when he heard her voice. He cleared his throat before talking. "Hey, Jessica? Jessica Hanes...?" He asked, coughing again. "It's Jay... Er Jason Hunt?" He asked, pacing even faster. He didnt know how to start the conversation. It was awkward to pick up a conversation with friends he hasn't talked to for years, but this was a whole new level.

Pulling the phone away from her ear, she stared at the device like it had just bitten her. Throat sudden drying up, Jessica swallowed hard and sucked in a deep breath. 'I'm still asleep, that's got to be it.' She thought, her eyes still locked on the phone in her hand.

Pulling the phone back to her ear, she swallowed again to ease the dryness of her throat. "Jason, hi." She replied trying to sound as casual as she could, but her heart was racing. "It's me. Sorry, I was sleeping." Jessica flinched at how lame she sounded and prayed he didn't notice. "How are you? It's been a while."

"Yeah it has..." He ran a hand through his hair. "Uh, I'm fine... Doing pretty good... Have a few roles in movies...er how about you? You doing alright?" He asked, walking outside onto his patio overlooking the beach.

Jessica smiled faintly into the phone, making her way over to the fridge to grab a drink while she talked. "I'm hanging in there. I'm usually pretty busy with work and Robert, but I'm alive, so that's got to count for something right?" Taking a small sip of her juice, she set her cup down and tapped her fingers nervously against the countertop. "So um...are you coming for the reunion?" She asked quietly, the awkward feeling that had hit her earlier increasing.

"That's actually why I called... I rented out the lake house for after the reunion... I called a few of long lost friends and they said they'd be there... And you're invited-- if you want, that is... You can even bring your kids and husband...." He trailed off, a pain hitting his stomach. He had no idea who Robert was and he kinda felt guilty that he didnt know a thing about anyone. They all knew he was famous and successful, and he couldn't help but kick himself for not catching up on them sooner, especially Jessica.

Jessica shifted uneasily at the word husband. Having to admit that she had a son and was divorced didn't really make the conversation feel any easier. "No husband, just my son. I'll ask him when he comes back from his friend's house tomorrow night, but I'd love to come. It would be nice to get away, even if it's only for a few days." She already knew what Robert would be all for it, but she was a bit apprehensive about bringing him. "Hopefully he doesn't have as much fun as we did up there." She said with a small chuckle. "But I think we'll both be coming along."
