So.. I happen to have this relatively developed idea, but I hate the idea of even trying to start to write it down into a story or maybe even a shitty trial for a book. Why? Because I know it'll suck. I just do. I can't write in detail, that's my problem. If I try to write something, I just can't make it longer. I don't know how to describe something, I simply can't. It is impossible to me to write more than 2 pages on a certain event like a battle or something, whereas books have over 10 pages going on about the same thing, which is what makes a book or a story go for long enough.
When I write, it's like one of those undeveloped ideas a kid writes down when trying to write; "She got killed." instead of "The assassin's blade ripped its way deep into the layers of her skin. As she gave the murderer a last cold stare and one gentle touch on his arm, falls of blood covered her chest and made their way down to her bare feet." Yeah, I can't write 10 pages about something. I just don't fit into casual-advanced, where all the expert and yet so full of themselves writers are. x_x Help me?

There's this planetary system in a distant galaxy that has 5 planets and no star. The planets are, named after some of Jupiter's moons, Adrastea, Analthea, Lysithea, Ananke and Praxima. Here is the information on each of the planets and finally some information about the plot.
Info: Adrastea is the planet around which all the others revolve, because of it high gravity and magnitude levels. It rotates chaotically around no axis and there is no day/night alternation, as there is no natural light source in the system. It is also the biggest planet in the system. Adrastea rules over the other populations, as it has the most intelligent race, thus forcing the others to obey. Adrastea and the entire system is ruled over by one Adrastean, chosen to be the smartest and the bravest of them all, usually from the same group as the former one.
Population: Adrasteans are a race of higher intelligence, capable of rational and judgmental thinking. They are superior in mentality, technology, development, social matters, and all life related things to the other planets' inhabitants. They lack most emotions and choose to rely on rationality rather than feelings in 90% of the situations. They have a single dialect that they speak throughout the entire planet/system (as they are the only highly intelligent race in the system). They live in large groups or on their own. If a fight is carried in the group (although if I choose to make them all think the same way, fighting will be mostly excluded*), both the fighting members are thrown away and ignored by that group forever. Peace is not to be disrupted by any means at all. They do not eat, they just drink.*
Development and science, life principles: They have high studies in philosophy, astronomy and chemistry. They have few, but existent forms of technology that have nothing to do with human technological principles yet they do not invent any sort of technological objects to help them with daily tasks (for instance an electrical chopper or a blender would be considered a really stupid and useless idea), as they are considered useless and laziness implanting. Adrasteans use blades and differently sized and shaped pieces of metal to aid them as household items for different tasks.
*Things I still need to take a decision over:Whether Adrasteans have two, three genders or no gender at all. They have two genders, one regular and one "breeder". There is no difference between the two except that the "regulars" can't give birth. Reproduction is done entirely by the breeders, thus there is no need for sexual reproduction. (thanks Missy)Whether they write or not. They write! (thanks Flo)Whether they have different personalities and traits instead of just being treated like a whole and being stereotyped all along the story, thinking the same way and living by the same principles. How they reproduce. What they will look like; Can't decide if I want anything humanoid in the story yet, so I dunno. What kind of substance they will drink.
Info: The story on Analthea is a completely different one. Spores in the atmosphere make the weird and unintelligent beasts delusional, high, and to some it has other major effects to top those, for instance if the spores were to suffer the slightest change, some of the creatures could even go murderous. The entire planet is colored in thousands of colors of different shades, painted by the creatures in order to offer them pleasure. It also has ground of different shapes and textures.
Adrasteans discovered the natural spores of Analthea a long time ago, and, noticing how they started disappearing, they proceeded to do research on them and be able to clone the atoms in order to maintain chaos from appearing on Analthea. They basically use those spores to keep the creatures under control so they don't flee to other planets and shit. They also do research on those creatures from time to time.
Even more info on the creatures: They all look the same. They spread a paint-like substance from glands above their huge, round and vertically disposed eyes, which is made of absorbed spores which have suffered a change of state inside the creatures' bodies. They choose their home-places according to the colors and shapes of the ground in that area and they live in groups of two. They do not have a gender, but they reproduce by laying eggs one in each other's bodies. (Alien TMI time much? x.x) The eggs turn into mature creatures in a very short period. They have massive bodies with arms and legs (limbs?) that look the same and are used the same way, with prolonged terminals that look a bit like thin fingers, bladed at each of their ends. Their bodies are entirely colorful and oily. They communicate through silent vibrations and signals. Oh, and another aspect related thing: On the back of their "heads" (= opposing the side where the eyes are) they have two huge, long, cylindrical uh.. tubs? That's where they breathe from and where they store the spores in order to change their state and turn them into paint. They're not smart. After all, they're crazy beasts rofl.
I have yet to decide whether they feed and whether Analthea has anything at all on it except these creatures and maybe a few Adrastean scientific research related.. shitbuildings. You got the point.
I have no fucking idea what to do with Lysithea. ^^' But I will find something somewhat kewl, I promise! Until then.. free spot. xD
Info: Jungle planet. Plants that do not need Oxygen or water have grown, and they feed on mineral resources found in the ground. The diversity of the beasts that live on Ananke is well known of by the Adrasteans, and they constantly receive reports from the research crew on the planet. The beasts feed either on plants or on other animals and are all small. Ananke is being researched on for information on the beasts and to reveal knowledge on what the plants need to grow to the Adrasteans. Adrasteans suffocate under regular Ananke circumstances, so the research crew has special suits with suitable gases and liquids that are constantly replaced. It is said that once the top scientist of the crew decided to take his suit off and that is the reason he grew to be a bit of a "twisted mind" (he has different principles to all the Adrasteans and feels a bit more compassion as well).
Info: Praxima is like the trash dump of the system. All found dead bodies of Adasteans or other creatures are thrown into Praxima to rot in the dark atmosphere. The planet is constantly foggy and clouded by black dust. Not much research has been done on Praxima.
Population: Well, not exactly "population". The Praxima Shadows are creatures of different shapes and sizes of the darkest black (pitch black), hence the name. Adrasteans believe the black is generated by the dust and the clouds covering Praxima. Despite their given name "shadows" they are consistent bodies, believed to be the remains of dead Adrasteans and other beings from the other planets. They are said to be purely evil and the possessors of unknown forces, yet no Adrastean scientist has ever dared to go down to Praxima to try capturing one of them and run research back in the labs on Adrastea. Besides, they wouldn't know what the atmosphere was made of and whether it is breathable or not, since they've never gotten that close to the planet.
That would be what I had in mind for each of the planets, yeah. Now, story plot? I haven't got much except that there is this new ruler coming along, that decides she wants to go closer to Praxima herself (why do I even say "herself"..? I haven't even got gender settled yet rofl) and check shit out. She comes back from the secret mission and nobody knows what happened there, but she comes back with a twisted mind. She starts to want to make changes here and there on Adrastea, she wants to free the Analthea creatures from the spores and see what happens, she wants to change the way Adrasteans act and think and make them more compassionate (although they hardly know the meaning of the word "compassion", so she will have to explain such an unimaginable concept to them and why it's different and/or better). She also wants to run more expirements on Ananke and implant suitable gases for Adrastean life on it, cut a couple of trees and shit and populate it. I am assuming something will go on including Lysithea as well, although I have no plan at all for it yet.
The reason for such a huge diversity on these planets? I haven't got the slightest idea, and neither do the Adrastean scientists. So.. leaving the part where I will probably never write this out of incapability, impatience and low self-esteem when it comes to my writing skills out, what do you think about my idea? Is it mainstream? I haven't struggled much on avoiding that notion but I still hope the story looks nicer than most space fantasy craps out there, as I put a bit of effort in making it. ^^ Anyway, thank you so trippin' much if you were that bored to read the whole shit.
