Rogue trader? Rogue trader.

So, are there any warhammer 40k fans out there?!
Are there any brave enough to explore deep into the halo stars themselves, to seek glory and gain in the face of extreme danger?

So im getting a group of 4-6 players together for an rp on the casual level, i am an experienced GM and i will be running games that i have run before IRL.
Now having players that know the rules to rouge trader would be great, or dark heresy, only war and death watch even.
Because i plan to use the rule system and the books, to some degree anyway, however it will still be quite free form if that makes sense.
If you don't know the rules or the universe of 40k but you do want to rp in the grim dark future of mankind where there is only war, where everyone you meet is probably plotting to kill you or steal something from you, and out in the cold endless void there are always beasts lurking...
So what say you explorers?
Are you ready to follow your rogue trader and Lord captain into the un explored stars on the far reaches of mankinds domain? To furthur the dynasty that you are part of?

Ah! excellent! If you have never done Rogue trader before i will list the classes for you, not sure whether to give the option of advanced career ranks, seeing as we won't be using the XP system. but the core classes will be necessary, for obvious reasons.

First and foremost is the Rogue trader, he is the head of a dynasty and has access to vast amounts of wealth and power, he is also typically the lord captain of the star ship that you are on, he is the lord and commander and responsible for where the game goes.

Next is the Arch militant, this comprises warriors, soldiers and fighters of all kinds. Prehaps a body guard of the rogue trader, The first mate/Officer aboard the ship or any other roles you can think of.

Next is the seneschal, these guys are masters of dealing with the vast amount of wealth the dynasty has access of, gathering information and social protocol when it comes to dealing with those kinds of social situations where trade is involved, they are also the only type of class that can be sneaky early on.

The next would be the Missionary, Priests of the imperium, they are best at dealing with morale issues aboard the ship, and focus on bringing the light of the emperor to the far reaches where you will explore.

The void master is Perhaps the most important save for the rogue trader, they are the ship masters. They pilot the immense starships that you will call home, or fighter crafts and all kinds of other vehicles to be operated, but of course they are not limited to only being pilots, they are however the only ones who CAN pilot.

Another important roll is the Explorator, high ranking techpriests attached to rogue trader crews, they do everything you would expect them to do on a starship. But they also seek out ancient technology in the halo stars, things like that.

I think that covers all of the core classes. But as well as having a class, you will also have a rank or role aboard the star ship, such as Lord captain, First officer/mate, Sgt at arms, twist catcher, Infernos master etc there are alot of them, but you only get access to one of them, and each have there own benefits

Im interested, can i be a an ork mekboy if not i could easily come up with something else.

ehhh, orks as players in the imperium...A recipe for disaster, you would be severely limited in the things that you could do. and what kind of rogue trader worth his salt will want an ork on his ship tampering with everything. Plus there also the gretchins in the ducts, orks give off spores constantly, and within a few weeks or months there will be gretchens running around messing with everything.
I would like to hear Omega's opinion on this, seeing as he is the rogue trader, if he allows it on his ship then by all means.

Hmm, it is a tough call, Orks incur some serious to the crew it seems so maybe sticking to humans or at least a xenos species that can pass for human would work.

Ah alright then, that rolling site would be best for rolling up the states then. And as for the ork, think about the types of things you could do in rogue trader.
You can colonize worlds, raise armies with which to take over worlds. Start empires and become the stuff of legend in every dank, dark and seedy drinking hole in the expanse and surrounding sectors. You would not be able to do something like that as a xeno, any kind of xeno for that matter, even the most human looking ones, eldar are easily recognizable as inhuman (Though they might not actually know they are xeno's, they are very inhuman in everything they do.)
It also raises further complications with the crew, every hard to hide an ork with over 20'000 people on board, though it isn't impossible.
So that makes 3 characters if you are still up for it, just one more and we can begin with the minimum, could even start with three so long as everyone has diverse class choices.

Also my idea for my stats so far, I may change them though since that lower fellowship kinda bugs me.
