The psycho in the room. (Looking for F in F/M)
Basically I've returned after a rather long hiatus and naturally I'm looking for a roleplay.
Lately I'm really in the mood to play up 'messed up' characters. Not so much in the poor druggie who needs a shoulder to cry on but more in the (semi-)psychopath version. Big, bad-ass men who in all honesty should be locked behind bars if not strapped to a certain chair.
This can be in a chaotic, brutal way or in a more cunning but not less sadistic manner. When it comes down to being the evil guy I might have too much imagination.
If you are interested send me a PM or post below.
These are just basic rules. I'm not overly strict but try to keep with them:
- Be literate: I'm not a native English-speaker myself but aside from the occasional typo I'm doing fine. So I expect the same from you.
- No one-liners: no exception on this ever. I always manage to squeeze out at least 2-3 paragraphs, one at a bare minimum if I have little to work with but never have I given someone a reply with just one sentence.
- I am patient but try to understand that it's difficult to get indulged again in a role-play that's been left unanswered for quite a while. I understand if something in real life comes up and I'm patient then but if your average is one post per two weeks I'm sorry but this will not work out.
This doesn't mean I expect you to reply several times a day. If you can all the better if not doesn't matter. The average I'd want is one per two to three days.
- Be creative: I leave the spots for your characters so wide open by choice. I find that it restricts if I'm given a strict role to play. I merely give the connection for our two characters to meet up. Her or his personality, backstory, appearance and more are all left open for you.
- My plots: They are very open both in what we will be doing as in your character. I love someone having input into the stories and come up with something together rather then just playing out a scene I have in my head.
I can play female and male and love to play multiple characters be them side or main. How you want to pairing to end up is completely up to you. Most of them are MxF but it can be changed to other pairings.
Hostilities ((This has taken some inspiration from Far Cry 3))
MxF (possible multiple characters)
Sarnath, an island in the middle of the Atlantic ocean. With warm seas surrounding it, pearly beaches and a hot climate it sounded like the perfect spot to smack down a whole array of hotels, beach activities and restaurants.
However it wasn't the climate or location that didn't allow tourists, it was a civil war, a war that had been brewing for longer than a decade.
The government, or what little remained of it was still engaged in battling the organized rebels. Bombs were almost carelessly thrown about and one week the rebels could be squatting in the forests, hiding from government and the following the soldiers and politicians were huddled in their buildings when the rebels marched down their streets.
Both knew the others were corrupt and would end the existence of Sarnath. Both strived for a 'better life' of the Sarnath citizen. Both wanted the same but also something different.
But both were oblivious to the true power that was ruling over Sarnath. A power locally known as the Carter Resort, but this Resort was not a corrupt company ruling from behind the curtains, it was a mercenary gang, it's name taken from an old abandoned hotel that they used as their base of operations. Carter Resort was a welcoming home for about every filthy animal and trigger-happy nutcase to join. Everybody was accepted; prisoners escaped from the mainlands, pirates seeking for a more 'steady' occupation or locals tired of being pulled by two sides who'd do nothing but kill each other in the end.
Carter Resort was so much more than merely a mercenary gang who lend their soldiers temporarily to the side with the most cash. They were the reason for the yearlong fights, they ensured that war kept blazing but also that it didn't got out of hand, that no outside meddling was involved.
Carter Resort was also the one responsible for slowly introducing tourists back onto the island, keeping them restricted to the other side, far from the once-capital and the bushes from which the rebels struck.
In the years that the fighting went on it wasn't long until a night city had established itself. A medium-sized city named Kadath with nothing but night clubs, hotels, 24/7 malls, strip-joints and anything else young people or the adventurous elders would need.
A small city completely under the protection of the Carter Resort that looked on from afar, letting both the rebels and the government think that it was their doing that the economy had returned to the island.
Now the Resort got their finances from supplying weapons and soldiers but also through drugs in the city and ultimately large amounts of cash were introduced through human trafficking, from ransoming tourists to kidnapping young women from hotels only to introduce them years later as the little whores in the clubs.
Kadath, Sarnaths little pearl with the cesspool.
My characters will likely be the two top dogs in the Carter Resort with perhaps someone from your character's immediate circle (if you wish so) and a few others to just keep the story going.
Your character could be basically anyone you'd want. Perhaps a woman visiting Kadath but kidnapped. Or a reporter who'd gotten too curious for her own good. Perhaps someone from either the government or the rebels send to the Resort for negotiations but things went downhill?
She-wolf of London
The sound of gnashing gears and creaking metal had swiftly taken over the tranquility of the forest. If not for the expansion of the city then because of rivaling lumber-companies trying to kill each other by sheer productivity.
The once vast woods were swiftly charted and uncovered. Their dark, eerie presence now nothing but a goldmine.
However it wasn't the deer or the badger that drawn the short straw out of the bunch. Others had drawn that.
The large cities attracted enormous amounts of people, all searching for a job, for a settlement, for something of value. They found it, but not in the way they had wanted it. The jobs were labors not even fit for slaves. Long hours with a pitiful payment and often dangerous as well. The settlements were hardly worthy to be called a house. If they were lucky they had enough room to place a bed and a furnace and still keep some space to walk between them.
However not just humans were attracted to the cities. As the forests and plains grew smaller the hiding-places for beings unseen by mankind came in closer and closer.
Werewolves intrigued by the humans swiftly filtered into the cities, some merely looked on and told their brethren how to remain out of human hands but others had other ideas.
Some of the men and women, having lived all their lives with the curse and being fully in control of it swiftly spread their curse throughout the city, hoping it would be the end of the destruction.
In this I kind of see your character, a normal citizen being bitten one night. She goes through the changes; overly sensitive senses, the change at full-moon along with the bloodlust that goes with it.
However as she is closer to losing herself to her wolfish instincts a man appears in her life. He decided to help her control what she is going through.
How far does the rabbits hole go?
Skid Row, downtown, the latrine of the city. The place for all the filth and the miserables to crawl into a hole and hope for a shimmer of hope to filter through. Red districts and slums diversified an area ruled by organized crime.
There was no reason for the police or the reporters to ever stick their noses in that cesspool. All news coming from there were the same: some druggie overdosed, some whore got in with the wrong crowd, a young woman vanished without a trace. All victims were of low standing, not important enough to focus on until one morning.
Young Felix Grant was found in one of the alleyways, his body had gone through a lot; electrocution, ruptured organs, skewering. The terror on his face told more than enough. He was an upstart politician, important person but not important enough for the police to keep messing around in Skid Row for too long.
However it wasn't long until too many deaths fell and that the public ranted and raved at the press and the police for answers. Both had to enter the tar pit and see which end led where.
One day a woman finds a breakthrough, perhaps as a cop, a detective or even a journalist. She found out who he was and even where he lived. Out of curiosity she goes out to find the house. As she rings the doorbell only a frail, old woman opens the door.
She finds out that the woman is the murderer's mother. But things go sour. The woman dies, poison is the clear intent and with no other ways to point fingers she is to take the blame.
However she is broken out of her jail by someone she didn't expect, the killer himself. He explains that he has killed but that the last few weren't of his hand, that a force far bigger than himself has tried to set him up and with her poking around in the stuff she was to be removed as well.
Now they are both hiding from the officers as well as from the mafia, each trying to clear their name or at least live to see another day.
Assassin and noblewoman
Being a friend of the woman's father the man was a regular at the house though his interaction with the child were few. However when one day he gets word of a hit put out against his friend he rushes to intervene, only to arrive too late. The assassin had already done the deed and was now trying to infiltrate the children's room. In time the assassin killed the man, only to be left with a young girl whose parents were brutally murdered.
Either he takes her in, knowing nobody else who could take care of her. She insists him on teaching her as well as finding who put the hit on her parents. (Your character must be more than 18 to do this option)
Knowing no better solution he leaves her with her closest relatives and leaves. Only years later does she seek contact with him again. By then she had trained herself (crudely or not) into the art of assassination. She wants his help on the current hit that might lead her to the truth about who wanted her parents dead.
I've listed some fandoms, some with minor plotlines or character ideas. These will require some more thinking.
A quick note. I will only play original character and would prefer if you do too.
Pokemon: A more adult version, not so much R-rated but more in the lines of grown ups living in that world. The children become trainers to find their own (group of) pokemon that will aid them in life and to build familiarity with the world.
This could go in many directions. From average life to criminal activities.
Mass Effect: Perhaps a Spectre Evaluation with my character being the assigned Spectre to evaluate your one. Things could take a twist if my character isn't an entirely clean Spectre, perhaps one with ties to Batarian slavers.
Far Cry 3
Batman Arkham City: The setting would be great just to have two villains or perhaps a villain and a curious person just meet and see how it pans out.
Vampire the Masquerade
Avatar (Last Airbender or Cameron's)
There are more but as of right now they don't come to mind...
