Come Hell or High Water (IC)

"Well, I'm sorry about all of the marriage issues." John had missed his old crew, and hearing that Kardi was going to be married of to some prick just upset him. He took another swig of his ale, setting down his mug he turned back to Kardi "Well being a criminal is a blast." John heckled "But pirating is quite fun, I've helped take down several opposing Pirate crews and I've plundered a couple towns." John smiled. "But running from the Navy kinda sucks thought." John ordered another ale from the barmaid.

" It's simply an ocupational hazard" Kardi joked. She took another bite of cake savoring it's choclate flavor. "So met anyone special onn the high seas" Kardi asked. If Kardi were to be honest she hoped he hadn't. He would need to return to her as soon as possible if so. Which obviously means less time to catch up ,and pal around. Kardi looked to the side. She noticed that Sedrick was talking to her parents. He was her pareents faviorite at the moment. He was the son of the Lady Hannah. Marring him would truly take any freedom Kardi had away. 'Lady Kardi' She thought. 'It doesn't fit at all' Kardi told herself.

"That's a good way to put it, Occupational Hazards." John chuckled as he took another swig of ale. "Anyone special? Nah, no time for that, too busy pirating for any of that." John sighed heavily at the thought of that, right about now he should be getting himself a wife and settling down. That's not to say he hated his pirating ways, in fact he loved it and he wouldn't give that up for anything. "Pirating takes up all my time, don't need a wife to hold me back from that." John smiled, 'yeah that's right, I'm too busy pirating to have a wife right now.' he thought to himself, cheering himself up a bit.

Sedrick walked over to the pair with his regular cheesy smile. "Lady Kardi, I came over to personally wish you a happy birthday" Sedrick courted. Sedrick took Kardis hand in his about to kiss it. "I am not a lady as you speak Sedrick" Kardi interupted. "not yet" Sedrick informed kissing her hand. Kardi looked over to her mother who gave her a look that could be translated to 'don't let this one get away'. Kardi gave a sweet smile to Sedrick. "One can only wish" She said trying not to disappoint her mother ,but still not show affection. "Your wish is my command" Sedrick said then left the pair. "I swear I'll kill myself before I marry that man. He's so bland and the last time he saw me. I had pants on. His disgust was palpable" Kardi complained.

"Why don't you just run off! Become a pirate!" John laughed a lot more than he probably should have, but he thought that his joke was funny. "The perfect plan!" John slowly stopped his laughing and looked at Kardi, seeing that she was upset by her soon to be husband "I'm sorry though, maybe it won't be all that bad." He said hopefully, he finished off the last of his second ale and set his mug down.

"Maybe not" Kardi shrugged. "Lets not dwell on sad things" Kardi added quickly growing a fake smile. " if your done with your ale I could probably slip away from my mother to go hunting. If you want" Kardi asked making sure to leave everything up to him. Her mother had taught her that in public it was polite to leave things up to the man. Kardi loathed it ,but old habits die hard.

"Well considering you're being so polite even though I'm pretty sure you just wanna run free, like you used to, sure we can go hunting." John heckled as he stood up from the bar and stretched. Looking around the room he saw no one of his old gang, including Kardi's brothers 'strange' he thought. "Now than, shall we?" he said as he started to walk to the door. reaching the door, he stopped and turned around "Nice seeing everyone again! sorry for the scare earlier." he yelled and walked out the door. Walking out side he walked across the road and leaned on the building waiting for Kardi.

Kardi snuck out of the bar behind John when her mother wasn't looking. She crossed the street like a lady ,and took John's hand. "We need to run by my house first but after that we can go" Kardi said walking him off. Once they reached her house she entered her home. She quickly changed into a tight leathery outfit. the tight suit showed off Kardi's curves ,and truly showed how much she had grown in four years. Kardi grabbed her bow and arrow. She then exited through the door and went back down to John.

John adjusted the swords at his belt as Kardi ran into her house and changed, he hadn't hunted for his food, normally they just 'found' it. It had been a long time since he saw her last, it was nice being able to catch up and do the old things he had missed. It took her quite some time but she finally came out of her house, dressed in a full leather outfit that showed all of her curves. "Wow. That's... wow." John quickly covered his mouth, he hadn't meant to say that out loud. "Sorry! It just kinda slipped out. Anyway, ready to go hunting?" John shifted the conversation as rapidly as he could, hoping to bypass what he said.

Kardi blushed. She looked at the ground not meeting Johns eyes. "Right yeah, lets go. Try and keep up okay" Kardi told him in a challenging town. Kardi put the bow around herself and headed off to the woods at a running pace. They were simply behind her house. It wasn't hard to get there ,but Kardi had a specific place she was going. Kardi looked behind her just to make sure she didn't leave Jhon in the dust.
