Warhammer 40k Rogue Trader OOC

Alright seeing as we have 4 players (maybe) i have decided to kick this thing off, now the way i would like to run it would be using profiles only to keep track of wounds and stats of the players, plus what equipment they have. No die rolls will be necessary as we will play it free form, you make your attack and describe how you are going to do it (Not a paragraph of detail on them though) but enough so that i know what your doing and how your doing it, i will then decide whether or not you hit, i might roll dice on my end or simply just decide given whatever factors would affect the combat. When it comes to an NPC attacking you guys, i will leave it in your hands to decide on whether or not they hit, or you dodge or parry or use some other means to defend yourself, doing that i leave the trust in you guys to use fair judgment, hoping people won't abuse that.

Ship combat will work in a narrative way, we will figure that out when we get to it.
Now i'm going to post the different class options as well as the character sheet, i think i will use most of the character sheet for this.

This is the basic character sheet we will use, now with the starting characteristics (WS, BS) and all of those, simply add 2d10 to each of them, no cheating!

Rogue trader: The holder of the warrant of trade, and the lord captain of the starship. Member or scion of rogue trader dynasty

Arch militant: Warriors of all kinds, from soldiers to body guards

Astropath transcendent:

Navigator: Those who ply the warp to ensure a ship reaches it's destination safely through the passage of the warp.

Senechal: Those who deal with trade for the rouge trader, and social situations.

Void master: Pilots and gunners of starships and fighter crafts.

All right they are the classes available, to make things much, much easier i highly suggest you guys download the rouge trader core rulebook, and other books.

All my stuff is on my home computer so I will get my sheet up wedsnesday.

I also just noticed Seneschals, the guys in charge of keeping track of money and stuff have a standard option to start with a boltgun. That is some hardline economics.

They do get to start with a damn melta pistol though...while the rouge trader doesn't start with something that strong.

Wait, so the inferno pistol is a melta weapon? i am sorry but your potential equipment setup is; Bolter, melta pistol, and oh shit I just read the rest of the Seneschal equipment. It is like the 40k equivalent of a ninja/book keeper/butler/surprise badass.

The other classes have some nice gear and a few surprises but the Seneschal, i can see how they balanced it so people would actually want to play the economist guy.

yep, he is the assassin, arbiter and adept all mashed into one bad ass class. I think hes the best jack of all trades class, in my game the player who plays the seneschal is easily the greatest character.

Etiquette - Gain a +10 bonus on interaction skill tests when dealing with high authority and in formal situations.

Legacy of Wealth - Adds +1 to the group's starting profit factor.

Peer (Nobility, Adeptus Mechanicus, Military) - Fain +10 bonus on Fel tests to interact with organisations

Vendetta - Start with a powerful enemy.

Decadence - When drinking alcohol or similar beverages do not pass out until failing a number of toughness tests equal to twice toughness bonus. Also gain +10 bonus resistance to effects of addiction.

Xenophile - Bonus +10 Fellowship tests when dealing with alien races or cultures. Suffer -5 penalty to Willpower tests involving alien artefacts and alien psychic powers.

Brook No Insult - You allow no serious offence to your honor and person or those under your protection to pass unchallenged, meeting threat with threat and violence with violence. You may take a willpower test to avert this if you wish, modified by the provocation and the consequences of succumbing to your rage.

Air of Authority - On a successful command test affect a number of targets equal to 1d10 plus fellowship bonus.

Appearence: Well over six and a half feet tall Arturious towers over most men and strikes a powerful imposing weighing well over 200 pounds as well. His well tanned skin shows off his tendency to leave his ship as well as causing him to stand out somewhat among the commonly pale voidfairers. The dark brown of his deep set eyes generally wander trying to take in everything and are well framed by his black hair often pulled back to hang near shoulder length. In aiding to his intimidating presence Arturious favors dress of a semi-military appearence well adorned with piping and embellishments that mixes the military stylings with some traditional nobleman stylings to add to his appearence.

Awesome guys, im hoping everyone will have access to a core rulebook so we can actually do the exp system and everything, that would be pretty good, As for the explorator you get to begin play with two bionic implants (Bionic limbs, Bionic Lungs, Bionic heart, Bionic gastral system, Bionic eyes, ears, smell etc)

I do and I did not use the 500 exp left from character creation as I was not sure we would be using exp.
