Fire Division, Heat Garrison
Garrison Information: The Heat Garrison is one of the most well known amongst the Fire division, both for ability and lifestyle. The people of this Garrison are referred to as Teine. The Heat Garrison is home to possibly the most conceited and hot-tempered of the Fire Division, giving good reason for them to live as frivolously as they do. Banquets and parties are regularly held by the Teine, though many outside of their ranks turn their nose up at their uninhibited behavior. Despite this, the Teine treasure intelligence and eloquence, leading many to study quite fervently. All Teine have the ability to control fire, to what degree is entirely based upon focus and studies. The average life span of a Teine is seven-hundred years. Most Teine seperate from their parents at the age of ten, raising themselves. Teine remain quite youthful until roughly the dawn of six-hundred years, upon which their body will quickly decay, their skin and hair seeming to be drained of all color. Teine hold elders in this stage of life quite dearly, taking effort to care for them as a whole. Many Teine traditions revolve around this aging process. Teine seem to lack any sort of political order amongst themselves, though royalty is currently in place, headed by Queen Lorah.
Personality: Aed is rather well-versed in many things, though one would not expect it. Often rather relaxed, Aed speaks slowly and gently, yet always with purpose and eloquence. Free-spirited, Aed is seemingly without worry, though always quick to take arms when his Division or personal honorifics come under attack. When angered, both Aed's actions and words become difficult to control. Never one to turn down a party or a drink, Aed is quite the social butterfly. Far too open and blunt at times, one will likely adore young Aed, or abhor his every move. When not socializing, Aed can often be found reading, or further refining his elemental ability.
Personal Background: Aed started life quite simply, his parents simply the owners of a cloth shop. Aed left home at a slightly early age, roughly eight, seeking brighter things in life that his parents confirmed they could not offer. His youth was spent traveling about the Teine territories, taking in as much of life as one could. This eventually led to Aed finding a home within the Teine library working under the Record Keeper, his days spent receiving Flame twisting lesson from the Keeper, and burying his nose in books. His travels as a youngster fained him many acquaintances, though as far as others knew during his days in the Library, Aed had disappeared. It wasn't until Aed had grown that he began to wander from the library. Having exhausted every collection of knowledge and surpassed the Keeper, the Library no longer served a purpose.
Aed became a wanderer once more, however, this time was different. It wasn't long before Aed was a household name amongst the Teine. The banquets and parties he would fund were just shy of legendary, his attendance making it all the better. Many became infatuated with the young man, his ability and intelligence having far exceeded some Titled members of Teine society, such as the Keeper. Word of Aed's parties made way to the Royal house. Aed, a young man of simple roots, was gifted a home in the Royal district, and given the position of Royal Planner. Opening a smoke shop nearby, Aed found his life was more than he could have imagined. Planning Royal parties, stationed in a rather lavish home, and relaxing in a smoking room on a nearly daily basis, with beautiful company never far from reach.
On the Eve of Queen Lorah's five-hundredth night, Aed was called to council. The Queen, physically weakened, had received call for a representative. After having weighed her options, the Queen deemed that Aed would likely be the most diplomatic. Her knights were certainly known for strength, but most were far from friendly. Assured that the Knights would be at Lorah's side, Aed was urged to accept and travel quickly. Aed graciously accepted the Queen's trust, though he worried about the outcome none-the-less. He had read much of politics, but to be thrust into such a world based on trust and abilities alone...
