"I am fine here, my hearing is not faulty."He stated while adjusting his coat and sheaths on his belt. He crossed his right hoof over his left and then crossed his arms while closing his eyes. A voice entered his head, a small child's voice. It was feminine and shreaky.".......why? Why did you do this to daddy? You monster!! Mommy!! Help!!" The voice resonated within him, an unforgettable memory. He shoved it to the back of his mind and opened his eyes examining the people in the room, assesing their appearance and noting their repetitive body language.
Guillaume understood the majority of what was said to him. He habe a bow of the head to the man for his help and walked over to the stairs. He looked up the wide stone steps and climbed to the floor. Was it the second or third? more? He understood purple and looked for that. Soon he came across the purple door and let a satisfied smirk come across his face for a brief second. He pushed open the door and found two men already in the room. THere was a hooved and almost beastlike individual along with what looked like a noble man. UNdoubtadly the one who summoned him. OR at least someone connected to him. He have a bow two both "I am Guillaume" his accent was thick and this abviously wasn't his first language but he managed these words easily. HE seemed to think for a second about what else to say "You are Well met" he said hoping that that was the right greeting for such an occasion.
Little to the man's surprise, Nevarm relaxed against a wall in the room and said, "I am fine here, my hearing is not faulty."More than likely the being would ignore or do the opposite of what the blue man talked about. Whether the redskin already knew the reason or not was irrelivant. He felt another individual about to enter the room. "I am Guillaume," the paladin announced. Guillaume appeared skeptical of the two already in the room. He is no doubt receiving mixed feelings due to the sight of the devil~kin. "I am Tibur Daygon." "You are well met." Tibur wondered how long he could hide his divinity from a follower of Torm and a teifling.
Guillaume rose from his bow and moved to take a seat at the other end of the table from the teifling. As a paladin he had the intesne urge to fault the table and decapitate the vile creature where he stood but seeing that he was here now means that this man probalby had some plan invloving him. And it was probably against the law in this city to assualt and kill people. Or mabye he just wanted to get them together in a room and have aa paladin brought in to do the job properly. He oculdn't fault that logic.
His thought were soon moved to an odd feeling. One he does not feel often. Only by clerics and priests typically. As it was explained to him the power of the gods flowed through such individuals. It was hard to tell what god a man worhsiped by this but when near antoher such man good or evil one could feel the presence of a diving being. He felt that from this Tibur person. He stayed silent for now but stared at Tibur. He was curious as to why a holy man would summon another holy man and a clearly infernal hellspawn all in the same room.
Nera, for lack of any better idea, cheerfully did as her host instructed, pulling out a chair and taking her seat. Soon enough, the horned, hooved man entered, who was in turn followed by a human she'd passed on the way in. She smiled widely at the strange looking almost-human as he greeted her, or at least, probably her. He wasn't directing his gaze at anyone in particular. "Heya," she replied brightly.
Shortly, the human introduced himself, as did her host, who was also presumably human. Names weren't terribly high on her list of things to learn, however, and she spoke up at the first chance. "So, now that that's outta the way, what're we all here for?"
"I know it is about some job, I am sure most of you picked up on that though." He said while finally pulling back his hood and shaking his head lightly to allow his hair to fall out over the hood. He uncrossed his legs and smiled. "What is the pay? Is it per day, per hour?" He asked bluntly. He was uneasy, though he himself was not evil, his bloodline was, and that give himself evil name, one the cleric would not like.
Thankfully these three didn't display hostility. He was grateful his spies provided reliable information. Feeling comfortable, Tibur walked to a window to observe Silverhendrix's living clockwork at play. Several letter recipients were walking about. One small fellow in particular caught Tibur's gaze. I'm glad this talented Deja has considered the written words, he thought. His arms were crossed behind his back. This act of leasure pronounced his already broad shoulders. Both Nera and Nevarm inquired about the summons. The slightest of sighs escaped Tibur as he returned his attention to the conference room and turned around to face the three.
"Aye, this is about work my red friend. I was hoping to not have to repeat myself. As you can see more people than yourselves have received the same letter." Tibur slowly returned to standing behind his seat while he was speaking. "This is in regards to whoever or whatever is plundering the roads between here and Port Jumanji. Everyone who has been called upon has a unique set of talents which has kept them alive in this savage land. Our goals," he leaned forward on the back of the chair and flashed a smile, "are for the greater good of the land's well being."
Guillaume did not understand everything the other people in this room were saying. He managed to get a handful of words and get the general meaning of the others but this Tibur's new words were largely lost on him. He disparred letting this information of his struggles with this new language come to light but he did want to acutally understand what was being told to him. "Ehh. You" he paused as he thought of the words. His accent was thick and this was obviously not his first language or choice of one. "Want to patrouillez les routes." he said then realised he spoke in his home tongue. "Ehh.... Travel roads. Patrol" He said. HTats about as much as he could udnerstand. He wanted them to go to some settlement and something about the lands being well, or was it good? He would need to work on this.
Deja woke up before the sun to a black lop on his chest idly nibbling on a note. He took the note from his familiar and bopped her on the nose in reprimand and looked around in blatant confusion. His private room was made with all number of inaccessibilities, he had an ongoing commission with the temple of Gond to let their people practice and peddle in his tower to test the practical application of their defenses. Gondsmen often look to wizards as another tool for their inventions, so he had a fair standing with his fellow gnomes. He would break fast with their templefolk this morning and let them look at the letter.
He threw his cloak over his rabbit and snapped the fabric, making her vanish into his familiar pocket. Next he got dressed for presentation and spent an hour getting ready to go while checking the defenses of his tower to figure out how the hell they got the letter to him! He took notes of anything odd in the tower for minds brighter than his own to figure out and made his way to the temple of gond, the moment he stepped out of the wizards tower, he took up a small carved stone and pointed it at his home.
The wizards tower shimmered for a moment and it was now another tower with a bowman on top. He pocketed the piece of stone and made a whistle where a wolf black as night emerged from the shadows. He mounted the beast and took a ride to the gondhall at a safe and sane pace. He was well known to the fellow gnomes who had helped him establish himself that he might help establish them later. He joined in the morning prayers which was the only time they all said the same things at once, then the hall exploded into gnomish gibberish similar to a hundred auctioneers trying to outbid eachother.
"heyAwlthereguysineedtoknowabouthtelettertartesoun dsgreatanyonegotsomevegformyfamiliarthanksthatwill begreatisawtheenvelopeisvelumnotparchmentdoyouthin kthatisimportantohwonderfulillmeetwiththemafteregg swhoisitohthatswonderfulilleatandmeetheroutsidewhi leipreparemyspellsforthedaythanksagainandkeepthele tter."

Breakfast was quick and efficient like all gnomish things. One gnome was working on a bar like hard tack that had all the fruits and vegetables one would need for a hard days work. He called it a 'power bar' and hoped it caught on. Deja gathered some spinach for his familiar later and made his way through the morning meal before excusing himself to the front gate to await a women named ratchet as he replenished his spells for the day.
"Whydontyoumakeanillusionofyourspellbook so you don't have to carry a real one? Sorry, talking around other gnomes all day and night throws me off."
Deja turned to look for a female gnome but instead had to look up to a Lacerti... now that was weird.
"No trouble. It wont work for me just yet but I like the idea. Thank you for the idea, I will tell you how it goes. Speaking of goes, shall we go?"
The Lacerti clearly had lived here long before him as she wove about like a beast stalking in the jungle, it was all he could do to keep up as she lead him to the guildhall for her mission to tinker the pots and doorknobs. He was so strange riding his wolf that he was simply ordered to go upstairs to the purple door. He dismissed the wolf who stalked off into a shadow to vanish into the umbra as he made his way up the stairs before joining into the room where everyone else was gathered and did his best to hide under the table as everyone else hopefully overlooked him.
"I see. Well, I don't suppose that will hurt." He said with a chuckle while sitting at the table. His mind moving quickly, back and forth between his past, and this new job. His eyes closed once more as bad memories filled his mind.
