Though I've gotten used to the one blog that I frequent with autoplay so.
I'm on mobile 24/7 so hah.
Guys look at how grammatically correct and not at all redundant my question is.
I very rarely make errors like that. But I posted my question in my first post, and then I was asked to post it AGAIN in my poll. And I thought to myself, "no, fuck this. Well, okay, if I must." And I clearly put very little thought into retyping my question again. Damn Guild.
Autoplay music on any site is annoying as all get out.
I kind of hate when people set it on auto play..
1.) The person doesn't know that I have the same taste in music as them, so the song they love might be annoying as hell from my standpoint.
2.) The person can't anticipate what my speaker/headphone settings are going to be at -- They may scare the shit out of me or seriously hurt my ears, if I'm not expecting music to suddenly start playing.
3.) Often times, from a website traffic standpoint, it drives people away from your site (rather than encouraging them to stick around). Most people will simply close the page as soon as they hear music/noise, not wanting to try and find an 'off' button (which is not always easy to find) or even bother with adjusting their headphones/speakers. Most webdesigners will tell you to NOT have any sounds or music playing (outside of maybe a subtle click noise or other ambient sounds, but even those can get old really fast).
It's a personal thing, of course, and your page to do with as you wish.. But I'd say don't do it, just for my own two cents.
Depends. If I'm looking for music or in the mood for it, it's fine. If I have prior warning, it's fine. Otherwise it's a hassle.
ewno
It interferes with whatever music people have playing before hand.
