Pokemon - Species Screwery (IC)
A Pokemon professor in Pallet Town had this idea, to make a machine that would let Pokemon speak human languages, and even gathered one of pretty much every species to test it on. It was certainly a noble goal; the lack of speech on the part of most Pokemon was the only major hitch in communication from trainer to Pokemon. The time spent on the machine to do it was very long, and thanks in part to some of the most talented trainers in the Kanto region, Professor Oak was even able to have some legendary Pokemon to test the machine on, even if their being captured was only temporary.
But he miscalculated. The end result was more than what Oak had bargained for. While the Pokemon the machine had been tested on were fully capable of human speech, they also had opposable thumbs, clothes, and had been turned into human beings! Now, this would all be okay, but there was one test subject in particular who took advantage of the situation the machine had brought on, and the confusion that followed.
It's name was Giratina. To say the least, Giratina was angry. It had been captured and dragged far away from its place of residence, and brought to this petty little town to be treated like a lab rat?
"Unacceptable," it had decided. When the machine was used on Giratina, altering its form beyond any restoration, it repeated exactly that to the first human it laid eyes on. Professor Oak.
In the interest of taking over the human world as its own way of protecting Pokemon, Giratina stole the machine Professor Oak had made, and struck down the very person who had irrevocably altered Giratina's form. While the genetic codes of other Pokemon were being re-written, Giratina has been making itself perfectly happy by slowly destroying the Kanto region.
It's been three days since then, and the genetic codes are now fully re-written, the Pokemon test subjects re-awakening for the first time, albeit in a rather demolished Pallet Town. Where is Giratina? What is it doing now? What are its true intentions? Most importantly, is there anything a bunch of genetically altered Pokemon can do about it?
