The Paragon 2 [IC, Private]
The Paragon 2 - IC
(Hay guise. I'm not very proud of this post seeing as I just threw it together to get this RP started, at last, but it'll have to do.)
A shadow looms over the world's ruined settlements. The very clouds close in around them, the thick gray and brown sky shut the wastes in from even most sunlight.
In the ruins ruins of Moscow, a few mutated reavers scavenge the rubble for something to hunt, eat and kill. In Kairo, a Paragon patrol just returns from clearing out a reaver lair under the sand dunes. In Tokyo, a survivor emerges lonely from the rubble and relative safety of a ruined building that was once his home, only to be caught off-guard by a Paragon Stalker sweeping the area.
At last, we come to New York. The relatively intact ruins stand out from the rest of the world, with even the Statue of Liberty still standing - at least most of it.
A Paragon Gunship hovers forward through the streets, the loud hum of the engines echoing through the blocks. Metal clatter is heard underneath, as six Paragon troopers run along the street, chasing something a bit in front of them. A human.
The patrol is lead by a big Paragon Lieutenant, his green-tinted metal armor and size standing out from the other troopers.
Robyn breathes heavily, running as fast her legs can afford. Close behind her is the Paragon patrol, their weaponry blazing away in her direction, ripping the ground and environment apart.
She looks back, seeing the Lieutenant waving upwards, and the gunship retreats elsewhere. Why would he call off his air support? No matter, thought Robyn. She would be dead soon anyway... But she'd be damned if she didn't go down with a fight. She loosens a frag-grenade from her belt and pulls the pin, lobbing it backwards as she runs.
The Troopers see this, and evade the following explosion without casualties or injuries, however a loud explosion it was.
Echoing through the streets with gunfire and explosion, any surrounding being would no doubt notice the events unfolding.
Who would come to her aid?
Edit: (It's mid-day time. Also think of the season of the year as a neverending fall, seeing as the bombing has turned the world into a wasteland and the atmosphere is completely polluted with thick brown-gray smudge. Rain can still fall but snow is rare.)
